/ There is no such thing as an Independent woman. It is a phrase coined to fulfill a certain purpose but has been overflogged by militant feminists. One who is able to fulfill her financial obligations is successful but not Independent. Successful Woman? Yes! Independent woman? The target audience are the baby mamas of African-American descent and other White-trash likes mothrrs that depend on the system and child support payment for survival. A break out from the system (a la deadbeat or incarcerated dad) and being able to live well without any input from the system is seen as a great achievement and a celebration of independence. Someone who can pay her rent, buy a car and other stuff, yet lives paycheck to paycheck will be the first to remind you that she is Ms Independent. Lol. Among the successful and educated women group, such phrase do not exist. / |
martyns303:\ Just to let you know... N1 billion is only $6m / |
barcanista:\ Other than religious bigotry which GMB is known for, there are other issues that other Nigerians (apart from the North) find nerve-breakig about him: 1) Money in suitcases saga 2) President Shagari was under house arrest while Southerners (Ekwueme, et al.) where in jail. 3) Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members and appealed to the government to stop killing BH members. This is why he is a suspect. Silence is consent. Sometimes what matters more is not what is said but what is left out. / |
/ Now that's what I am talking about. At least it showed that some people have it upstairs. Congratulation! \ |
Opiosko:Minimal fund was expended to upgrade the military. Their book said billions was spent. But the military said the got nothing and had resorted to running than I facing BH. The idiotic thing is that you are defending an administration that cares less if you live or die. When you are done, you can pat yourself on the back and continue to live in squalor while your future and the future of your children are mortgaged to economic hawks. By the way, GEJ just got additional billions to fight BH, extra-budgetary if I may add. I don't live in Nigeria. I have never belonged to any political party in Nigeria. My take on the issue is an objective appraisal of the issues at hand from a neutral standpoint. I think APC folks lack common sense if they think Buhari can win any election in Nigeria. In 2015, Nigerians have a tough choice to make between a slow-poke and a religious bigot. None of them should have been fielded in the first place if we consider the quality of other better alternatives that lack the wherewithal, conviction and "balls" to contest. / |
/ What a gory sight!? This is what I keep saying...we see evil and we keep quiet as long as e no concern us. Well, sooner than later, the hunter go become the hunted. When Allah boys were decimating everything Southerners in the early 80s and 90s, dem mallams cheered them on. After all, Southerners are infidels. Now dem boys no see any more Southerners to maim, they have turned the bombs on their cheerleaders. No Emir is spared, No woman is sacred, and kids are scared. Welcome to utopia! The world muslim leaders in the North gave tacit approval to all those years. Una never see! No jubilation yet o! As the North is being wiped out, Southerners are saying "wetin concern us" Well, as target finish for North, guess where they are coming? Una go run tire! \ |
/ If I were in your shoes, I will not quit. So, continue looking for other opportunities and just do the current job well. Programme your mind that the current job is to hold body together until other opportunities prop up. Do not resign. Job hard to find o! Some people will kill to have your job now. N140k approx/month is better than N 0/month. Btw, you will be surprised at how many people hate their jobs. \ |
/ It is obvious that the OP has no experience about cars. Brand new cars have recalls, etc. Most importantly, won't he be driving the car on Nigeria roads? Good luck! \ |
/ Decoration overkill... Something about the bedroom reminds me of lying in state. It is supposed to be a home not a lounge/club house \ |
/ This is why you should avoid keeping bad companies... Madam Iweala has learned to lie without blinking. \ |
InvertedHammer:\ As anticipated, snapped back from $76.50 to $79.50 in less than an hour / |
GoodcasHMan:\ MAN PROPOSES, GOD DISPOSES / To avoid being disposed... Do not propose!!! \ |
/ Employer: 1. You cannot run your business on improvisation. There are too many "trial and error" practices in your business. If you want to make changes, you should carry your employees along so that you can work as a team and eschew unnecessary friction that does the company no good. 2. Do not move the goal post in the middle of the game. Every position has its responsibilities. Spell it out to your prospective employees. And remember, everything is negotiable. Pay as promised. There is no need of hiring people if you do not have the requisite fund to pay their salaries. That in itself is evil. Employee: 1. Your job is to deliver and get paid by the company as promised. 2. If you have concerns about the dealings of the company, contact the relevant authorities. Nairaland will not solve the issues. 3. If the customers are not getting good services, let them sort it out with the company themselves. \ |
GenBuhari:/ The noise about oil is getting too loud. I will not be surprised to see a ferocious snap back that will get people trapped and STOPS decimated. / |
Segeggs:/ Carbon-14 dating!!! ![]() Just count the wrinkles. Even Botox will be ineffective here. \ |
Chylo:/ The same way TANamites beg to differ. Either way, Nigeria is just there. Nothing has changed. \ |
Chylo:Every President that Nigeria ever had had a litany of achievements under his belt. But what they did was mere repainting of a dilapidated in structure instead of pulling it down and starting a new one with a sound foundation that could withstand a test of time. If OBJ could not provide constant power, motorable roads and social services during his 8 years in the saddle, then his administration was a collosal waste of time and resources. The other achievements you outlined was his act on a script given to him by his "masters". So let's not be carried away. Even Ghana that touted such achievements in the past are now realizing that you cannot dine with the devil and come out unscathed. |
/ Good hustle. Beauty and the Brain in one. What separates her from others is that she made good use of her money to pursue her ambition. Many other ladies usually spend their money on mundane materials that add no values to their lives. And when I say "her money" no one should start reading meaning into it. / |
/ A person who fails to plan; plans to fail. The fact that Nigeria cannot plan beyond any current year is a shame on itself. When the leaders mouth off about vision 2020, they have no clue about the subject of discussion. Heck. OBJ is more than 70 years. Do you really think he cares about life 20 years from now? But Nigerians will form Team OBJ, Team GEJ, Team GMB and sing kumbaya! Nigeria should keep praying that Russia bows and comes to the negotiating table else the slide in oil price will continue--Thanks to Saudi Arabians, Hedge Funds and US Government. Nigerians are in for a very long thing, as the street smarties would always say. \ |
\ They are same. Just different packaging. Both are pursuing the same thing / |
/ If they are true Christians and believers, none of them will die as long as they prayed that "no weapon fashioned against me shall ever prosper". ***Typical Nigerian response to a complex issue****which means " I don't know". _\ |
/ Stop preempting God. \ |
/ Most women do not want it until that time... And when they do need it, they don't second I guess. \ |
majekdom2:\ Well if during the interview, they present this as shown as their final year project, GM or Ford would gladly employ them in the Janitorial department. / |
davestead:What I am doing over here? Well, I work in the morgue. I also wipe old people's a_ss. I drive taxi. I am a security guard. I am an illegal immigrant. Feel free to throw in anything else condescending enough to make yourself feel better about your miserable life. If you cannot handle criticism and divergent opinions, then do yourself a favour by staying away from public forums. Or better, go jump into the lagoon. / |
RICHIEBOI1:/ Where is the justice? N300K damages vs. N50k fine (in lieu of 3 years jail term). SMH \ |
Any Southerner who is still up North after Xmas has decided to die. Don't feel sorry for them. |
/ I think everyone has a right to die. Person wey wan die, leave am. \ |
FrancisTony:/ They do infringe on their rights. Actually, gays are targets of crude jokes and violence. And that's why government had to step in. Gay tolerance is mostly in the inner big cities and those are places the flamboyantly gay people live . In other smaller towns, you are on your own. / |
