adconline: D'Matel is OK by Naija standard, there is one in Lekki as well. It's owned by OJ productions, Nollywood producer, but intl chains like Southern Sun and Protea are outrageous.

Ribadu is finally dead and buried politically.

APC: No way!

PDP: Used and dumped.

All the reputation built while in EFCC destroyed overnight.

PDP finally unmasked the clown

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in FCT, Lagos, Enugu, Owerri and PH.

By far, the one I enjoyed most is called D'Martel (or something like that around Govt.House) at Enugu for around N10k.

The room was very neat. Everything was very standard. And this was November last year.

But all those N15k-N30K per night rooms in Lagos and FCT are not worth crap especially considering that sometimes I pay for a week or more.

Absofucking_lutely a rip off

Plan is henceforth get into Lagos and get the hell out as soon as possible (if possible by the next day)

eyeview: This is a woman who at her age should have drawn closer to her maker but she instead uses her show to make derogatory statement against God and Jesus christ. A woman who at her age should have been contented with her looks after countless plastic surgeries, but she keep subjecting herself to more plastic and enhancing surgeries. Its sad that she never made it alive from this last one, its sadder that she died at the peak of vanity. It would be saddest if she didn't make peace with that God she fondly mocked while her other vain friends and transgenders laughed.
I would have said Rest in Peace but I would be lying if she didn't know God.
/

She died from complications from a minimal invasive procedure (endoscopy to be precise) in an outpatient facility not plastic surgery.

Your post makes sense. But try to stick to the facts.

t2luv1: And those houses goes for 1/4th of the cost it takes just to buy a plot of (120X60) in Lekki. Only in Nigeria !!!!. I always wonder how people are able to justify spending such a huge amount just to buy a land with no amenities.
/
Estate development usually starts with construction of access roads and streets so that potential and prospective buyers can drive in, look at the models and sign a contract.
But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case

Why complain? One csn decide to dive into the murky water of Nigeria business. What an easy way to make money?! You don't need to deliver quality.
Churn out any crap and people are willing to pay just to belong/form.

Minimal packaging required. No oversight.

CityNG: Unfortunately I wouldn't take an out of towner who I invite to lunch/diner to a place that serves half and half with 3 items for $10.00

Why drive to CT when I can just pull in to "Wok For Food" locally?
/
Day to day living bro.

Not every day that you go for official dinner. That's why there is something called take out. You don't have to eat there.

Thai food is about the same price but in a serene environment.

Good food is good food unless you wan form or out just to impress.

CityNG: Sigh...

If you ever come to Southern California please allow me to take you to lunch. We'll start from San Gabriel Valley and end up in China town.

You will most certainly have a better appreciation for good Chinese food and delicacies.
/

Either way Chinese food is still very cheap. If you go to China town, it becomes even cheaper. From Garden Grove (Vietnamese) to Hacienda Heights(Chinese), the prices ($6 - $9: half and half with 3 items) are relatively cheaper than what u will get in a typical American restaurant.

And they waste minimal time in serving the meal.

\
Glorified BS.
If mosquitoes chop you for you for Trancorp Hilton Abuja, you will regret ever spending such amount for nonsense.

Even in Lagos, you cannot get a decent hotel room for less than N10k per night. The building may look nice but the rooms look like piece of crap eg Sharon Ultimate in Garki, FCT.

Until basic amenities are sorted out, Nigeria will remain a shit hole.

How can people live without clean water, electricity, accessible roads and see it as normal?

How can one maintain a clean environment without water? People do not flush their toilets and expect to be healthy.

People don't even know what quality life means. A mansion surrounded by filth remains a filth because nyama nyama from outside will somehow get into your mansion.

But who cares? All die na die. After all there numerous people, witches, wizards and enemies to blame for ailment or death.

This is 2014. What meeting?

Teleconference has bridged that physical divide long time ago.

It is still cheaper to buy emergent business class ticket to meet appointment compared to the annual parking fees of the jets.

Do you know how difficult it is to be a Nigeria?

Last week, we saw this picture below and people were poking fun at these old men domiciled in USA
for donkey years. Some are doctors, engineers, lawyers and professionals in different disciplines.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/1665659_10599646_758958600835121_7782755974389471887_n_jpgae2eef0546455e6b94ba63fbcb9a243a

When you look at the pictures what do you see?

Matured minds?

Guess what?

They had an election that is considered worse than any election ever held in Nigeria.

2 officers for every position from different factions that have turned the internet into a battlefield.

Yep! That's the people that will bring the change you yearn for after decades of sojourn in a democratic environment

Time when you are young and indifferent.
Time you are married and more responsible in gait and appearance.

This is what happens when someone marries a chewing gum husband.

Business › Re: 10 "Foolish" Ways You Lose Money Daily In Nigeria by InvertedHammer: 5:06pm On Sep 02, 2014
ochejoseph: 2. Insisting on Designers, Labels, and Brands
From groceries to clothing to prescription drugs, you can save money by choosing an off-brand over a fancy label. And in many cases, you won't sacrifice much in quality. Clever advertising and fancy packaging don't make brand-name products better than lesser-known brands.
For example, generic drugs can cost as much as 80% less than their brand-name alternatives.

5. Maintaining a Fleet of Cars
Most people keep a fleet of car to show the world they have arrived , However they fail to realize that their cars start diminishing in value the moment they drove out of the show room . The Insurance ,licensing , and maintenance is an unnecessary expense for a vehicle you drive once in a month!

6. Multiple Girlfriends or Sugar Boys.
Women are wonderful creatures, history is replete with men who died because of women only to have those women become concubines of the men who killed their lovers .
A Man with a retinue of girlfriends will have to Buy Credit for Shade , change wardrobe for Ngozi and pay house rent for Fatima all these add up to keep the young mans account in perpetual red !
In the same vein women are reinventing slavery but this time on a different dimension, they have mastered the act of keeping "Bingos" whose only duty is allegiance to the Bosom of a woman old enough to be their mothers .
One peculiar thing about these "bingos" is the Fact that they have taste as such keeping many "Bingos" sometimes leave a tsunami effect on the bank account !

8. Not Pulling the Plug on Electronics
If you use a prepaid meter this is one of the reasons your credits develop wings.
Electronics that have a clock or operate by remote are typical culprits. The obvious way to pull the plug on your energy vampires is to do just that -- pull the plug. Or buy a device to do it for you, such as a Smart Strip Power Strip which will stop drawing electricity when the gadgets are turned off and pay for itself within a few months.

9.Buying at the Wrong time !
This mistake could some times have devastating effect Its is dangerous to Buy a Land or House during dry season because the area might be prune to floods or the Land could be waterlogged .
Building during raining season on the other hand also has some advantages
1. Cost of Building materials especially cement falls
2.Molding Blocks and water supply for concretes works could be made easier especially for those in arid areas

10. Borrower !
Pls Borrow me =N= 500,000 I have a business deal I must close tonight?
Many people have lost millions and made great and wicked enemies just because they choosed to help.
The wisdom here is never lend out an amount you are not willing to forget!

When push comes to shove....buy a camcorder 1080p and join the band wagon.

Males and females...love matter...cars and hotels...movies don set.

Wait for yawa to gas and use it as the title for your movie. After all by the time person go sabi say the movie sucks, they don buy am finish.

Update your wardrobe. Any where e dey happen, dress well and go there dey form "movie producer".

To produce movies these days na only 2 days work.
Nigerians lack professional touch in their ventures...any how is better than nothing, unless oyibo join am.

E never reach 2 months now wey I dey deal with First Bank just to get a "token" through their stupid Firstcontact and Diaspora banking crap. You will think I am talking with elementary school pupils. And these are the so-called graduates? And these people work at the corporste office? SMH for Nigeria. The future is very very, and I repeat, very bleak.

The best option is to reduce the standard to the barest minimum in any dealings that involve Nigerians. Emphasis is mine.

google the term ''technical'' and you will understand that anti-aircraft is just a name...boko haram has been deploying same strategy ever since...thats why they can ambush our guys and tear them into shreds from 2 kilometres away...the range of an AK47 is around 300 metres...men are been killed by an unseen enemy...our hiluxes shattered like wet tissue paper.

now we are deploying same tactic...spray them from afar with our shilka "Baygon"" and we watch them die like the roaches which they are
