kmariko: Chinas emergency in the world stage would be counted as one of those historical dynamics that changed africa for the better beyond the shackles of Europe.

One of the reason I favour multipolar world .
\
LOL.

Ain't you a happy camper knowing that another colonial master is out to colonize Africa again.

The Chinese do not run charity organizations. Ask the Phillipines.

He who goes borrowing goes sorrowing. The Chinese do not take prisoners.

When is any African country going to encroach into other countries? Or are we better off and
more comfortable being economically r@ped by any willing nation in whatever guise they deem fit?

For Nigeria to progress, she needs to build her own infrastructures. Make energy readily available.
Then create enabling environment to make inflow of cash easy but outflow extremely difficult.
Eg. It is very easy to wire fund and buy $500k property in USA. But then try wiring $10k out of USA.
You go speak grammar tire when it comes down to it. Every LE (IRS especially) will know and wait for your Income tax return
declarations to rope you in.

Any investment that does not involve production/manufacturing of goods will end up being a drain in the economy.
MTN is a foreign investment. Right? The foreign construction firms that pulled Houdini with Imo State mobilization fund
is one of the foreign investors. The song about attracting foreign investment to Nigeria has become stale.

Try flying into Lagos at night and you will understand why it is a one-eyed man among the blind.

You missed the point.

Every country in the world has a few cities with tall buildings.

Even freaking Cote D'Ivoire as seen below:

In the real sense of it, only Lagos comes close to what will be considered a city. And any semblance of city is killed by the ineptitude of NEPA.

Abuja is a glorified village. The Central District in Abuja is a huge joke a la haphazard collection of buildings with no planning.
Where is downtown FCT? Your guess is as good as mine. A typical downtown will have bustling "activities" day and night. I mean
street bars, clubs, shopping outlets, etc. Central District Abuja becomes a ghost town after 7pm.

Ordinarily, I will not want to engage in this discussion lest I be called names. But we know...truth hurts.

And don't even give me that crap about Nigeria is only 54 years. When did Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, or even China turn around?
When it comes to development, they latch onto the 54 years excuse. But when it comes to taking jumbo salaries, the 54 years only
excuse becomes muted. And the retar.ded citizens join the chorus.

Not a word from NMA (the association that represents all the quasi-paramedics parading as doctors in Nigeria)

If na to append titles to name now, all of them go begin fight to outdo one another.

You asked a question. Then you answered your question.

Bill Gates, Mark Zukerberg, Steve Jobs, etc cannot answer those questions because they don't have to.

Do you even think Otedola, Dangote, Ibeto, etc are worried about such questions? Afterall, nobody force you go interview. No be money you dey find?

The first right answer to any of these questions will be the look on your face. Remember that the interviewers are there staring at you.

2nd is your critical thinking ability.

3rd is about applied knowledge: Not cram and pass. They are looking for creative minds. The same goes for Boeing, Raytheon, etc.

When you point the obvious, the ITK Africans tell you that you are suffering from low self-esteem.

Then challenge a typical African in his/her area of expertise, all na wash.

Be the worst in Africa, reach the West and they will polish you (a C student can turn an A student in diaspora).

Get the best African brain and throw it into the chaos called Nigeria, his brain will slow pass Mikel in the midfield.

Sharp object sharpens sharp object.

Any challenge no matter how little, we start looking to the West while at the same time shouting "RESPECT US!"

That's why to talk to leaders in Nigeria, you have to address them like children to get their attention.

Capableben: Hitherto, I have always admired people that speak good English- on T.v, films, neighborhood, and some friends.Even here on nairaland , we have a good number of people that write English as though they were related to Queen Elizabeth.
I recently discovered that its much more easier for me writing English than speaking it impeccably. What should one do to speak English authoritatively and impeccablyhuh
/

Then after crying more than the bereaved...
a la' speaking like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles combined,
writing better than Charles Dickson...

Then what?

Will it make you more English than a man from England?

Just curious.

Typical Nigeria sole-proprietorship!

Start on a very high note...and end on a scam note.

Inspiredm's problem is lack of professionalism. Any id!ot can pre-order vehicles. But it takes a seasoned business person
to handle deals/negotiations/complaints that will follow. Be it N1k, N1m, or N1bn--that is money someone entrusted in your care
because they have confidence in your ability and credibility which apparently are now at all time low.

The half-spirited apology from Inspiredm is really what pissed me off. What is worth doing is worth doing well.

DO THE RIGHT THING and THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR APOLOGY.

I don't think it is poverty. After all, ladies from rich families do it too.

I think it is the path of least resistance. Good dinner, free drinks, good sleep in a nice hotel and then N20k in the morning. 3 x in a week x 4 weeks in a month = N240k/month. No overhead. Just some occupational hazard that exist in every profession. When your mates are submitting CVs, one failed interview after another, banging some loser bf for a token; she is making more than gainfully employed mates. Just 10pm to 5am shift with a lot of down times. I don't think any aristo wan die on top woman.

After all, how hard is it to remove pants, spread legs and take a d#ck. More like getting paid for fun!

I don't support campus runs...but I can understand

nora544: That is not tru, do you know the Formel one world campion Niki Lauda, his wife give him alse a kidney, and later she gets twin boys for him but this is not the only one I know. It is not a big isue in europa to make this.

But I know in Africa it is a big problem because many people are very selfish.

What I didnot like is first cover that he has to look for e wifes and that he needs money and now coming out with this 3 wifes is not cheap!!!!!!!!!!
He looked for money? Yes!
Did he force anyone to donate? No!
We have lost some gems and the world did not end.
The ones that donated know him and his family dynamics well.

We can judge him till kingdom come. The fact is that he has 3 wives that are not afraid to identify with him. He needed money for kidney transplant and got it. Chikena

I will rather read his stories than those of monogamous family members killing/maiming their spouses.

Some people talk under the assumption that they are all housewives and wholly dependent on him. If anyone wants to marry 100 wives, na im headache. Me I dey jeje. If he wan borrow money from your hand, give if can and zip it if u can't.

Politics › Re: Breaking: Jonathan sacks NNPC Boss, appoints replacement by InvertedHammer: 2:27pm On Aug 02, 2014
Kossyne: With my little knowledge of History I will try to explain it as much as I could.

The Hausas are the original inhabitants of the Northern part of Nigeria. Prior to the 18th century, they practice paganism and lived in seperate kingdoms. The Fulanis are the Arab Herdsman and Scholars who served as clerics or advisers to the Hausa Kings but they were against the pagan practices of the Hausas. The Fulanis thought themselves superior and more knowledgeable to the Hausas and as such suppose to rule.

So under their charismatic leader Uthman Dan Fodio, they carried out a jihad to cleanse Hausa lands of pagan influences and establish an Islam state with a centralised government. After conquering the whole of Northern state, they replaced the Hausa pagan leaders with Fulani Emirs and unified all the emirates under the Sokoto Caliphate with Usman Dan Fodio as the first caliph.

Most elites in the North are Fulanis. An average Hausa man is timid, conservative and contented.

Please visit Hausa/Fulani for more information.
Thanks for this information.
