rudedough:Dude...I understand and that's why I am giving you the info. These are areas I know very well. I pass through Fullerton every day on the way to and fro my office. On the weekends, Downtown Fullerton is the place to be for night out...clubbing on my mind. Fine babes from different universities full ground. \ |
rudedough: Bro please stop taking me back and forth. Stella Oduah did not attend the school, she only received an honorary degree from the school. You are funny! You said that Fullerton is a f..ked up city? It is either you are being mischievous or you are ignorant. One thing about US is that once immigrants start moving into a particular city, the neo-colonialists who detest the end of segregation will label it a run-down city. As a matter of fact, there are some areas where Blacks and Hispanics (no matter how wealthy) will be subtly denied residence. Just like a typical US city (Washington D.C, Los Angeles, Detroit, you name it) the downtown area is always infiltrated by homeless people. This is because there is always big human traffic and they solicit for alms from people. Downtown Fullerton is not any different although not as bad as other metropolitan areas. If you move towards the north, that is where a lot of universities are located and they are all a stone throw from one another namely—California State University, Hope International University, Western State College of Law, College of Optometry, etc. As expected, these areas have huge students’ population and apartment complexes. East of this location is Yorba Linda (million dollar homes); the north side is Brea (million dollar homes). One key thing about Fullerton is this: It is in Orange County! Only the “have beens” will understand what that means. Stop wallowing in ignorance. On the issue at hand, Nsukka is a remote town in Enugu State. Graduates of UNN will always inform you that they graduated from UNN, not University of Nigeria, Enugu because Nsukka does not sound fancy enough. Mrs. Oduah told a bold-faced lie if she did what was alleged. Only Mrs. Stella Odua knows the reason why she put “whatever” in her resume’. Perhaps, she was not counting on the fact that some (if you like call them A-holes) will go digging From MBA to Hon. Ph.D? It seems that some cabals are desperately looking for anything.to hang on Mrs Odua to discredit her. I wont be surprised if by next FFK and co. start questioning her gender. |
mad nigerian: Hi Rude Dough.....you haven't answered my latest post..... @ mad Nigerian Your information is correct! #5. Right on the money. #6. Hope International University is across the street from California State University, Fullerton. It has only about 2 or 3 buildings. The truth is that it is a mushroom university. I used to toast one South African girl with big ikebe that worked in their mini-library @ Rudedough: Fullerton (Orange County) to Glendale (in Los Angeles) is about an hour drive on a good day. |
viperman:/ I think the OP should be banned for insulting NLers! Advertising McLaren here for sale is at par with advertising Bentley to tomato sellers in Ajegunle. And when they yab you, you go carry offense? OP deserves all the responses he is getting. What a "conconbility"?---> ![]() \ |
fanex: This is an SLR McLean you idiots. one of the most exclusive and fastest automobile in the world. It's certainly not for the masses. You all run along and buy ur Honda. Illiterate clowns/ You mean McLaren? Does it matter? When you buy a car like this for naija, you better be willing to swallow the depreciation. If na oyibo land, you fit trade am in to get something else. But for Nigeria, you get mean say u get am. The people that can afford this car will never buy a Nigeria used one. I will not even buy it for N3 million...it is not worth the headache. OP: Tell Oga say im go drive McLaren tire! Btw, why he wan sell am? \ |
Written by Fejiro Oliver Oduah Certificate Scandal; Saint Pauls College President Denies Speaking To Sahara Reporters Following the allegation of certificate forgery against Nigeria Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, a Nigeria group called Nigerian Liberation Movement (NLM) has revealed that Sahara Reporters, an online media deceived the public on their purported conversation with Saint Pauls College President, Mr Peter Stith. The NLM engaged the services of a private investigator based in the United States to help demystify the alleged scandal. They also investigated the certificate forgery of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Lagos State governor. In a statement released to elombah.com, NLM stated Mr Peter denied ever speaking with Sahara Reporters and telling them that Oduah never attended the college. According to the NLM President, the Registrar said that Sahara Reporters would need a court subpoena to enable them release such information to them, and since none of such court order was given, they also did not divulge any information. The University was accredited by the Commission of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Baccalaureate degrees but they lost the accreditation on June 21, 2012. These were the numbers used in contacting the following people who proved Sahara Reporters story wrong. Commission of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: +1 404-679-4501 The President of Saint Pauls College: (+1) 434-848-3111. The registrar of Saint Pauls College: (+1) 434-848-1800 Meanwhile NLM also stated that the Registrar of Chicago State University was frustrated that another inquiry is coming on the case of Bola Tinubu stating that they already sent a report to one Gani Fawehinmi in the past and we should refer to him. Any further information from them they noted would require a court subpoena. This is the number used in getting the Registrar Chicago State University: (+1) 775-995-3521. |
Lerato9: Ok i am a female and my best friend is a guy. We are extremely close and theres nothing we dont share with each other. We are there for each other during our highs and low points. I have a boyfriend and he has a girlfriend. We met during nysc in Nasarawa state in 2006 and have remained close since we both relocated and work in abuja after youth corps./ TALES BY MOONLIGHT \ |
Malawian: you were anxious(?) to hear her defend herself once again before you have seen any concrete proof of her guilt./ So I am a Yoruba? ![]() \ |
InvertedHammer: ""Meanwhile, Stella needs to prove critics wrong IMHO by providing a copy of her MBA if she claimed to have such as Malawian: but dbanj should not come out and debunk a claim of giving 5 million to ojb since he did not make such a claim, abi? you yoruba are janus faced. the onus is on sahara reporters to provide proof odua claimed to have attained such degree./ It seems to be that you and I said the same thing \ |
/ You are not asking the right questions: 1. Does she have MBA degree? If Yes, show the proof. 2. If No, did she state that she has MBA? 1st tier, 2nd tier universities in USA has nothing to do with Nigeria, if you ask me. Let's go down memory lane...Compare and contrast Gov. Fashola (UNIBEN) vs. Gov. Tinubu (Chicago State University) Gov. Chime (UNN) vs. Gov. Chimaroke (Loma Linda University) Gov. Peter Obi (UNN) vs Gov. Ezeife (Havard) Gov. Amechi (UNIPORT) vs. Gov. Odili (University of Liverpool) Stella Odua (?Tier University) vs. Fani Kayode (Cambridge) Ngozi Iweala (Havard) Just take a look at the list. Everyone on the list that went to the so-called 1st-Tier (highly rated) university in the West was a big disappointment namely Ngozi Iweala, Chimaroke, Fani Kayode, Peter Odili, Ezeife. They all failed woefully. Guess who performed remarkably well? Your inference is same as mine. The problem is that we pay too much attention to peripherals and avoid the core issues. We get easily confused by paper giants. Meanwhile, Stella needs to prove critics wrong IMHO by providing a copy of her MBA if she claimed to have such as insinuated. \ |

/ Una like to put eyes where una no sabi. People give all the time. What is the difference between someone who gives unto the pastors in anticipation of blessings and someone who plays the lottery in anticipation of good life? The difference is in the beneficiary. In lottery, the state wins. In tithing, the pastor wins. Both instances sell hope to the people. Just as in lottery games, a few people win in churches sometimes. Just as late night infomercials use testimonials (real or imaginary) to lure people into business, pastors use testimonials too to lure future givers into their maga kingdom. Trying to talk people out of giving to all these flamboyant pastors is like telling gamblers to stop buying lottery tickets. Everyone is hoping that one day will be one day, poverty will be eradicated in his/her life by fire or by force. All you naysayers...please don't kill the dream. For some people, that is the only thing they live for. Keep hope alive! \ |
/ This is nothing. Late coming to school, making noise in the class, failing tests, incorrect answers, sleeping in class, losing a football competition against rival school, etc. was guaranteed 6 lashes per offender per case. Add that up in a day...and by the time we graduated, we were all walking "tough guys" Those seminary school instructors never took prisoners! https://www.ippmedia.com/media/picture/large/fimbo-may13-2013.jpg \ |
/ Easy solution. Pack your things...show your sister the text messages and tell her that that's the reason you are leaving. You will be doing your sister more favour than harm by letting her know. Let them "iron" it out. And leave for good. Oh I forgot, people are asking you to sweep it under the rug to avoid rocking the marriage. Sweeping things under the carpet has not got Nigeria anywhere. Neither will it get your sister anywhere in this issue \ |
/ This is a subtle message to all intending travelers that they are on their own \ |
/ If the roles were revised...that is, the man allegedly sliced the woman's bossom, and later they decided to get back today... the whole world will be up in arms with the clamor for his head. The echos of domestic violence will be heard from the farthest corner of the world. But since the man is the victim here...everyone is shouting "LOVE". This should have been an opportunity to discuss domestic violence against men. Apparently, no one wants to call a spade a spade. Ok ooo! \ |
OmoOlopeAmama: As a former close insider and staff, i really understand and feel the pain of the OP..../ I just want to apologize for laughing at the bolded \ |
Naijamericana: Yeah, and now "read my lips", if you cant show us a chart then dont say anything. We need proof. Mr English Teacher.../ Read the bolded above. You call that criticism? That's pure insolence. If you don't get enough attention from your parents, don't expect it from me. Whether you use technical and/or fundamental analysis or not, that is your kini. I don't give a rat's a?ss! Get lost! \ |
Naijamericana: Yeah, and now "read my lips", if you cant show us a chart then dont say anything. We need proof. Mr English Teacher.../ Show you chart as what? If you need a chart, the least you could do is ask nicely. I guess in your own little world, it is all about technical analysis and fundamentals have no bearings on shares prices. What a drivel! I don't have time for disrespectful morons. At what point did you assume the responsibility to decide who talks in NL? The OP is at discretion to take my advice or leave it. It was never intended for a loser like you. \ |
Aliko Dangote: The Stock Market is All about Gambling I will rather use my money to do real business than take it to the gambling market. if u are a good gambler that always win more than loosing then go to the stock market. As for me the real market is where I belong. However after building my companies in the real market I will bring it to the stock market for gambler to gamble on it while my wealth increases\ As soon as you walk out of your house, you are gambling with your life. Even sleeping could be a gamble. / |
humans are not part of the food chain. humans can be extremely disruptive and have been known to destroy many food chains over the ages.
/ Until you meet a very hungry carnivore like tiger, python, crocodile, etc. then you will know whether human beings are part of the food chain or not. Heck we are omnivores which is why we eat everything. \ |
Eyop: Well said InvertedHammer but how many new cars will you find having manual gearbox these days? Automatic is still good provided you make use of the recommended gear oil and not the fake sold in shops to avoid issues of transmission failure even though i personally love the manual for long distance trips but you find more auto than manual these days.I am glad you got my drift. My point is that you should tailor your need/want to the environment. I have seen many cars that I wish I could use in Nigeria. But then and again, I consider the environment I will be using the car...all factors added to the equation. I opt for something manageable. For instance, I drove from Enugu to Abuja. Unknown to me, the bad road stretch before Ajaokuta had done some numbers on the car. I stopped at Lokoja to refuel and the car would not start thereafter. See wahala o! And in a desperate situation like that, your options are limited. My hood was popped and all manners of people were troubleshooting the damn thing. And you know, in Nigeria any little thing creates a scene. Pop your hood and people will gather around. To cut the long story short, I managed to look down below the radiator and found out that the wire connecting to the starter had pulled out. Thanks to my adventure with potholes on high speed. I pointed that out to the electrician and he put it back in. Case closed! Notably after that experience, that car continued to figure out ways to bankrupt me. The last straw was that I took it in for oil change. Out of the kindness of his heart, the mechanic said he noticed that the tranny oil was low and decided to top it off (with God knows what). The car moved a few miles and that tranny was gone. Long story short again, the car slept in Abuja for 3 weeks while the search for matching tranny continued. I have had my own share of car wahala from mechanics in Nigeria. Brake pads, shocks, etc...no problem. But once they start venturing towards your engine or gear box, start praying Psalm 23. The worst part is that you will never know how good a mechanic is until the damage is done. Some electricians will go under your car and come out with some wires in their mouth. On inquiry, they will tell you that it does not do anything. Really? So the car manufacturers that put it there are stupid? Interesting indeed. They usually have standby praise-singers who tell you that he is the best there is. You will be surprised that a lot of high-end car owners in Nigeria know no squat about cars. Just because you see a lot of flashy cars in a mechanic workshop is not an indication that the mechanics there know what the hell they are doing. If in doubt, take one Saturday out and drive around to all the popular workshops in town. You will see high-end vehicles littered everywhere. Something as common as fuel pump or just changing tranny fluid becomes a daunting task. My candid advise for the OP is to stay away from Hybrid. Just like European luxury machines, when they drive they feel very heavenly. But when they take you to a mechanic, you will hate everything about them. Drive a Hybrid? Yes! Drive it in Nigeria? I think it may end up a regret. \ |
/ Another thing is that the people that built those houses did it just for the heck that they want landed property. They can afford to let it sit for years without any occupants. The place I stay in Festac, Lagos when I fly into Nigeria is owned by a military general whose family live in Maryland. The place is locked and kept clean by retinue of servants who use the Boys' Quarter. He does not want to rent it out. He stays there may be 2 weeks in a year. Nigeria is just an unbelievable place. Most often than not, they are not really relying on the rent to make ends meet. Take a look at Bankole's Estate next to Games Village. Nice but too expensive. MoSaraha builds estates and still way overpriced. CNEECO? You don't even want to go there. Uche Nworah? Please! They act like they don't have need for the money anymore. After all, worse comes to worst, the banks will bite the dust. \ |
Naijamericana: Bros, seeing is believing...show us a chartRead my post again...this time slowly. The first sentence will explain it. Then the conditional clause starting the second sentence is the foundation. Take care |
/ I don't have access to charts of NSE. If in doubt, offload about 50% of your shares at current level. Wait for a considerable pullback around N10-N20 range and buy in. Global indices are topping and when the tide turns, it usually takes the good, bad and ugly with it. \ |
eluquenson: Nigerians have a shallow brain, cos its a wild animal & it means they must kill it, na wao/ You are a hypocrite! Cow, chicken, grasscutter and other meat wey you dey chop...no be papa born am? That is why it is called "food chain". Abi make them hug am? It must be a good day for onions, crayfish, pepper sellers around the area. Peppersoup thingz on my mind! \ |
jeffizy: Trumpet blowing that is detrimental to the parties involved/leads to Kidnap./ You think say na everybody kidnappers dey kidnap? When kidnappers jam agbero, gbesee go gas. Don't let the suits and agbada confuse you, Emeka (a former Julius Berger truck driver) is a bad a/ss! \ |
/ In all, your gf will not dip her hands in your pocket to extract money. Why give and complain? If you cannot afford her...move on! Looking good costs money. If you want your girlfriend to be "fly" , well "good soup na money make am". A girl can only have the most generous boyfriend she can attract. A guy can only have the most beautiful girlfriend he can afford. If you earn N50K in a month and your gf demands for Brazilian hair, Samsung S4, etc. It should be an indication that she does not care about your well-being and you need to move on or trade down. My advice: If you can afford her, keep her ELSE trade down. Most importantly, STOP COMPLAINING! No one is holding a gun to your head to be in a relationship \ |
/ There are more cons than pros. In Nigeria, there is no luxury of AAA. And every mechanical or electrical equipment is bound to malfunction at one point in its lifetime. In buying a car for use in Nigeria, the most important decision should be based on what will happen when the car breaks down....that's when you will know whether the purchase was a good decision or not. When you drive a Hybrid Vehicle in Nigeria, chance is that at a point you will be left at the mercy of "any" mechanic to get you out of a situation. And once this gentleman pops your hood/bonnet, it is goodbye. That is to say, your problems have just started. Personal example: People wonder why I still drive manual in Nigeria. My response is that as someone who is scared of flying around in Nigeria, manual gearbox is the only one I can drive comfortably without fear of the unknown. From PH-FCT-Lagos-Enugu-Owerri-Yenogoa....my car has been the shiznit! For some reasons, when I use new cars technology and Nigeria mechanics in one sentence, it scares the living be-Jesus out of me. \ \ |
. The same reason a friend put his small hotel up for sale. He toiled seriously abroad for many years to start that business hoping to: Create some jobs (a very old-fashioned idealist) and to gradually invest back home and have businesses to return home to years from now. Come and see dishonesty from staff and so-called family members involved. When the dude is in Naija, hotel is usually 70 to 95 % occupied depending on day of the week, season etc. The minute he flies abroad, they'll report as low as 20% occupancy. We have a long way to go.
/ Your friend is not serious. If living abroad, he/she should know that in Nigeria, it goes thus: Rule 1: Do not start a business you cannot be there to manage 24/7. Rule 2: Keep relations away because a prophet is revered except among his own people \ |
/ Sociology is dead on arrival. The only way to make it will be to venture into other disciplines. There may be some exceptions...but exceptions do not negate the rules. \ |
