Hnd-holder:Bros, i mean what i'm saying. The guy that told me has HND in computer science (Upper Credit). He was 2 years my junior in the polytechnic. He said Bsc holders were given 1 star (Asst. Sup.) while HND holders were given Inspector. Infact i just remembered that one of my younger sisters with a Bsc attended the screening in PH, she told me that HND holders were recruited as (Cadet inspectors) while Bsc holders were taken as (Cadet Asst. Sup). It's not an issue of HND holder looking for a job that was advertised for ND holders. Find out you will get to believe me. It's very sad honestly. Even Army, Navy and Air force take HND holders and Bsc holders as officers cadet in their short service program, i wonder what is wrong with a para-military organisation like immigration. |
laudate:you dey mind that Obori?? Very soon they will say Ijaw, Ogoni and kalabari people are igbos too. Na oil dey cause all this. |
Try UK universities, they will give you admission. Some of them require a minimum of 120 credit units, and you with HND even have more than 160. |
@Hnd-holder Sad news. Nigeria Immigation Service employed Bsc holders as Asst. Sup while HND holders were taken as Inspectors. This discrimination is still in the civil service, and you people were sayin OBJ has removed it. na wa ooo. My friend with HND just told me some minutes ago that he just finished their basic training. |
Do you think Yar'adua will say anything now? He looks like someone who does nt have time for the educational sector now. |
BIAFRALORD:No we don't need the support of Biafra. |
if he's ibo then why are ibos complaining?? |
ife01:It's not true. you can even become a professor sef. One of my lecturers and project supervisor in the polytechnic then had ND, HND, PGD, MSc and now PhD in Statistics. His name is Mallam Hussaini Dikko (He prefers to be called Mallam); ND - Katsina poly, HND - Kaduna poly, PGD - Uni Ibadan, Msc - Uni Ibadan. He's in Mathematics Department ABU, Zaria. Any Mathematics or Engineering student of ABU between 1999 and now should know him. He was a Lecturer in the polytechnic before he got an appointment to lecture Statistics and Experimental design in ABU and was equally given admission to do his PhD. pally do not be discourage you can even become a professor sef. |
Hnd-holder: you are very funny. i don't know the meaning of Yar'adua, but i pray the guy will give attention and priority to technological education. |
@Donzman your papa and mama na idiots, thats why you know who an diot is. Obori like you. Rivers state is my state; you, where are you from?? Is it me that you want to tell about the Ndonis and Egbemas?? you must be out of your mind. Did they tell you they were ibos?? Because of oil una wan claim brodas with Rivers people; e no go work. Okiro is from Rivers state and is not an ibo man simple. |
You can work in a Bank with it in Nigeria or teach in a school. |
mohadana:OBJ created the geo-political zones. so every zone wants to be represented at the top. |
Hnd-holder:Amen oo. Make everybody go university. |
naijaway:Which plane them wan bring down?? American fighter planes or British fighter plane, abi na Israel own?? Bros befor you hear sound of plane e don carry out destruction return back to base sef. no decieve yourself. Abi you think say na the kind yeye planes wey Nigeria get them dey take fight war for air?? ![]() |
MAMAJAMA:Bros no be we cause am. Now Nigeria is divided into 6 Geo-politcal zones, and every zone wants to produce the president or senate president or IGP or CDS or chief of Army staff or chief of Naval staff or chief Air staff. |
MAMAJAMA:If you go by that you would be getting things wrong the more because you will call Ijaw, Ogoni, Efik, Ibibio, and Ogoja Ibos. Then Bini, Ishan, Auchi, Urhobo, Isoko, Itshekiri will be Yorubas. Idoma, Igala, Tiv, Ebira, Kabba, Jukun etc. will be hausa. Bros e no go fit work that way. That one na pre-independence classification, that was why they had to create a Mid-west region in the 1960's to remove Bini, Urhobo and others from Western region. |
pinokio:You now want to use the HND certificate? thats good. Do CCNA then CCNP. |
MAMAJAMA:You are not correct Bros. Most people in kaduna state especially the southern part of kaduna are not hausas. They have Jaba where the former CDS Martin-Luther Agwai hails from, kataf where Gen Zamani Lekwot hails from, Kagoro, where Esther Nenadi Usman hails from. There is a wide difference between the hausas and them both in tradition, custom, culture and religious beliefs. The Gwaris are also there in Kaduna. That was why i asked if Nupe, Gwari, Langtang and Birom people are hausas?? They speak and understand hausa language but that does nt make them hausas. We will only be naive to call them hausas. Kano and sokoto states are purely hausas and fulanis. Rivers state is not an igbo state please. |
For those saying ikwerres are igbos it's not true. Ikwerre's in Rivers state are not igbos just like the ukwani's in delta state. Simply because they understand ibo language does not make them igbos. Or do you call Nupe people and Gwari people in Niger state hausas?? because they speak and understand hausa language. Do you call Langtang and Birom people in plateau state hausas?? Dey understand and speak hausa language very well. Please Ikwerres are not igbos. Onovo is from Rivers state and is not an igbo man. Or will you also call Air Mshl Paul Dike, the Chief of Air Staff Igbo?? |
xtycod:Big Obori |
Truthman:Okiro is from Rivers state please, not Imo state. |
oludunamis:Obviously it cannot be you now. Have u said anything wrong to me?? |
No body insulted him; we were only trying to advice him but he started insulting us. He's a very small boy in the academic system, i don't know of his age sha; graduating in 2004 and 2005!! i could have possibly been his Lecturer sef. Which schools did Pinokio graduate from sef?? |
Hnd-holder:really an unsettle case. Poly students are in limbo now!! |
@Hnd-holder You are correct. Our children will not attend such schools (poly) again. infact they will not attend public universities that are always on strike; they will attend private universities. |
pally you can use even QBasic, C++ or FORTRAN if you wish. The most important thing is to write out a very good algorithm of solving LP problems. |
@Hnd-holder Poly students are even more confused now because they don't even know whether polytechnics still exist in the country or if they've been completely turned into universities as proposed by the former Education Minister. Those with ND do not know whether they are to buy D.E. forms for 200 levels into universities that are still on strike, or to wait for the Polytechnics to start selling abolished HND forms or proposed BTech forms. What is their fate please?? |
@Hnd-holder polytechnic curriculum and syllabus is wider, rich and more technical than that of the university. Some of the things poly students do in their 300 & 400 Levels can only be found in the syllabus of PGD and Masters in the university; but yet government and people of Nigeria still look down at the HND certificate. All these must stop in this Umaru's regime. Umaru ka ji ko?? |
Thats a good question. Why not also ask if SATAN is black?? |
@Hnd-holder I don't understand why government themselves do not believe in HND graduates; is it that the HND curriculum and syllabus is not as rich as that of the Bsc?? Because i for one know that polytechnics do more courses than the universities especially in Accountancy, Business Admin and Statistics, just to name a few. |
We don't even know what is happening to polytechnics now; i advice everyone that obtained ND from the polytechnic to apply for a D.E in the university because we don't know if HND programs will continue in the polytechnics or if the new BTech will start soon. Government are keeping quiet and making people to be more confused. |
Hnd-holder:He will take his time, until things get of hand abi? Education should be given no.1 priority; let him listen to ASUU and ASUP now before things get spoilt kpata kpata!! |
