I have not heard anything serious or positive about the merger and scrapping of HND again. I don't know how serious dey are about it sha.

I tell you say i dey look for work?? na your[b] ignorance [/b] draw my attention to this thread. After all what do you mean by if i don get degree now?? Is HND not the equivalent of a BTech/Bsc Degree in Nigeria?? Moreover i have gone beyond that level, i have HND, PGD and Msc in view. kpele o!!

May be they want everybody to be ENGINEER. If everybody is an Engineer i wonder who will do the Technician job for them. Being a registered member of NSE does not automatically make one competent; most of those NSE Engineers are incompetent. Nonesense!!

Whether HND or Bsc, be able to defend ur Degree. I know of some Bsc/BEng holders that are dull just as i know of many HND holders in Engineering and Sciences that are incompetent; so the whole thing boils down to the individual and not the certificate or school attended.

JJC in NYSC. You are a liar infact. No need to talk to an insane and confused boy like you who can not create or get a job with HND Elect/Elect and BSc Industrial maths. Olodo!! May you continue doing Bachelors Degree courses!! From HND to Bsc; from Bsc to BTech; from BTech to BA; from BA to BTheology etc.

Polytechnic graduates are far better in Engineering Technology; i wonder if NSE and government know what they are doing!!

4 UR INFORMATION I RAN BOTH COURSES CONCURRNTLY. GOT MY HND IN 2004, AND BY BSC IN 2005.

How did you do it?? Did you do one on a part time basis?? Or you did both as full time?? if both were on full time then how did you do ur NYSC?? becos both HND and Bsc go for NYSC?? I think you are the cause of your problem.

After HND it should be a masters degree. What is the relationship, an engineering HND and a degree in MATHS not even educational MATHS, industrial maths for that matter in NIgeria, it equals to WASTE of TIME at least 8 wasted years for degree sake.

you people should challenge NSE. Anyway i thank God sef say our government do not even believe in nigerian engineers; no wonder dey give out the contracts and jobs to foreign firms and engineers.

Please help us correct him before he gets far with it. How could hw be referring to HND holders as middle level manpower. That means Bsc/BTech Degree holders are middle level manpower abi?? Me, i know ND holders to be middle level manpower, chikena!!

my sista, the thing reach make i talk like that i beg!! He thought there was no job for him because he had HND in Elect/Elect. He thought he could get a job by getting a Bsc course; now even after the Bsc he is still complaining of not having a job. Elect/Elect and Industrial Mathematics are good courses so let him use his knowledge and create job(s) for himself and stop going out to look for paid jobs. Alternatively let him go ahead and do a Masters Degree, may be he could get a job as a Lecturer in any of the higher institutions in Nigeria.

This man need experience in one of the two fields. Or should go and teach by obtaining Academic masters Degree. He has overjumped. We are not advanced to the level of indusrial maths yet, Try computer skill /operation research

Pls help me advice the confused man, who after doing HND in Elect/Elect instead of going for a PGD and MSc in Elect/Elect, wasted his time to do a BSc in industrial maths again. Advice him to go ahead with his Elect/elect. He was so confused and lacked focused. Instead of doing that Bsc ind. maths he should have continued with pgd and msc EE Engineering.
