HND Elect/Elect, Bsc Industrial Mathematics; very good courses; and you still don't know how to create a job for urself?? Please don't say that again. You can proceed to do a Masters if you fel that would help you to get a job; but my advice is create a job and stop wasting ur time looking for someone to employ you. |

pilgrim.1: @ishmael,
The Apocrypha were not regarded as inspired Scriptures all through the histories of the Jews unto who were committed the oracles of God (Rom. 3:2). So, the argument that they were inspired Scripture does not arise at all. If they were not inspired scriptures so how did the apocrypha itself get into the Bible in the first place?? and why were catholics who were regarded as the earliest or first set of christians using it?? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is The Bible Complete? by ishmael(m): 8:31pm On May 07, 2007 |
pilgrim.1: @ishmael,
Before you post any argument that makes any sense at all, what do you know for a certainty as the Bible? The Bible is the word of God inspired unto men (Prophets and Apostles) by the Holy spirit. But why reject or remove some inspirations?? It does n't make it complete at all!! |

pilgrim.1: The books in the Catholic Bible which you do not find in the KJV, NIV and several other versions are known as the apocrypha, and are not part of the canon of Scripture. Evangelical Christians and Jews have never recognized them to be part of the canonical sacred Scripture. So where did the apocrypha come from?? and why was it rejected?? Why didn't they reject the books of 1&2 Kings and 1&2 Chronicles or 1&2 Peter?? Is it not God alone that has the right to add or remove from his sriptures?? Does man have any right to remove or add books to the Bible?? Why is it that it is the protestants or non-catholics that rejected those book and not Catholics demselves?? Or are you saying that the Catholics added those books to the Bible by themselves?? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is The Bible Complete? by ishmael(m): 11:27am On May 05, 2007 |
Some books are missing in KJV an NIV which are found in the Catholic Bible. The Catholic Bible has more than 66 books. |

Forget about the grade you graduated with. I for one i don't believe that all persons that graduated with 3rd class are dull or not good enough; the same thing applies to all persons that graduate with 1st class or 2.1 & 2.2, not all of them are intelligent. just believe in urself and my candid advice is that you shld take your mind away from looking for a job, rather be thing of creating a job for urself. You read a very good course , Computer science; iexpect you to do something with the skills you have except if you don't have any skills in you kpata kpata. |

Education › Re: Nigerian Emerges Best Student Mathematician In Africa by ishmael(m): 7:45am On May 03, 2007 |
babyosisi: even here in America you'll be teaching and teaching is a noble profession for crying out loud. We can't all be "getting rich quick" can we? My sister; teaching in the US and Europe is a noble profession, but in Nigeria teaching is a frustrating profession; that's exactly why i said "not in Nigeria", because you will be teaching and earning peanuts with all the maths and analytical skills you posses. |
Education › Re: Nigerian Emerges Best Student Mathematician In Africa by ishmael(m): 6:42pm On May 02, 2007 |
johnpeace: sometimes i feel unhappy by the way people of Nigeria think or do things. You don't need to tell discourage anybody not to study mathematics. Personal i am presently an ND student of computer science contemplating on either Information technology or Mathematics as per direct entry. so, if you don't like the subject, that doesn't mean that another person will not like the subject. As for me, there are two things i love to do: inventing new ideas in mathematics and teaching mathematics. No body is stopping you from going to get a Degree in mathematics. get it but don't remain in Nigeria, else you will end up teaching people the same way you were taught; may be in a secondary school if you are lucky. |

Computer science is good. But if you want to be more analytical as some one has said already go for MATHEMATICS/STATISTICS or PHYSICS or EE Engineering first, before doing a Masters in computers you will really enjoy it. |

aik.mamah: in the UK where we got our education system from has for more than 2 decades now converted all their "polys " to degree awarding institutions. MIT in England 4 e.g now awards B tech. so also is it in India, Are we more industrilised than these guys or more knowledgeable, well the answer is no, but they have made it possible for different poeple to get to the peak of their career while taking different ladder, if those we learnt from have seen the defcency in what they sold to us why wont we ? both HND (B tech to use the supposed term ) and "degree" are important and they are for different purpose each should be used well, afterall some of us with "degree" can not confidently defend the so called " degree" it might annoy you be we all know the truth! how many fine Art graduates with a degree from any of our "unis" can match an OND holder of the same profession from YABATECH ? yet we dey claim !RUBBISH !
