LoverBwoy:Where you want make him go?? You no see him name?? Nigeria1. Allow the guy make him continue dey yarn, may be Senate fit consider him own analysis and figures for adoption. |
McKren:How i wish this could come to pass. I would be the happiest Nigerian to see OBJ, Atiku PDP members and other ministers like the Minister of Finance who OBJ uses to siphone public funds go to jail. |
Nigerians in trying to discredit Gen. Buhari have nothing to use against him but "islamic fanatism"; haba, na wa oo!! During his reign as head of state was there any issue of islamic fundamentalism in nigeria? Was there any issue of sharia in nigeria? did muslims in the northern part of nigeria attack and kill christians, or burnt down any church?? So why are we so quick in passing judgement and giving names to Gen Buhari simply because he made one fatal mistake of saying something that had to do with religion which many nigerians did not like. But that does not make him a hater of christianity and christians. What about Gov Umar yar'adua?? Should he be called an islamic fundamentalist and fanatic?? because he introduced Shariah in his State which is being used to suppress and oppress non-muslims. OBJ once said "CAN Chairman my foot"; does that make him a hater of christianity and christians?? Gen Buhari is what Nigeria and Nigerians need now, except if we have not learnt any lessons from what this evil cult of a political party PDP and its members have done to nigeria and nigerians. No thanx to them at all. |
You guys are complaining about 2.2 Degree holders, what about HND holders with Distinction and upper credit who are not given the chance too?? |
arowolo:All na story jo!! Our government do not attach any importance to Technology; all they think about is the Niger-Delta crude oil and the income it brings into their pocket. They have never bothered to ask themselves when will they stop bringing in oyibo people to drill the oil for Nigeria?? when will Nigerians be in control of the on-shore and off-shore drilling of crude oil?? With the new policy they are cooking there will be no more polytechnics in the country. Technology have been murdered in Nigeria by our insensitive leaders. May God help Nigeria. |
jocelyn:In Nigeria Degree is synonymous with university. That has been my point of arguement. why can't FG make polytechnics and colleges of technology in nigeria to award Degrees?? Yaba Tech and Kadpoly should have been allowed to still remain as polytechnics but empowered to award Bachelor Degrees, Masters and higher Degrees. |
Myklyn98:Well said bros. let him scan the front page of the magazine for us to see, and the price as well. I personally can be a distributor in kaduna, i can get you subscribers. |
Hey i'm in Kaduna and would like to be one of your distributors. I can assure you that there is a good market in kaduna. Please chat with me using: ishmaelxy@yahoo.com. Waiting for your response. |
davidylan:This is the first time i'm agreeing with your post on nairaland. Weldone!! Buhari is better jo. |
one of the ways in which we can get a good estimate of nigeria's population figure is by carrying out a sample survey. I was taught in my Statistics class that samples provide very close estimate of the true value of the estimated population parameter; and that carrying out a 100% sampling (Census) on a population does not guarantee you getting close to the value of the parameter you are looking for because of so many errors which may occur, like error of omission, error of double counting etc. In order words carrying out a complete census has its own disadvantages, while carrying out a sample survey has its own advantages, one of which is the fact that the standard error of the estimated population parameter can be measured, computed and known with a stated level of confidence. So i suggest and advice that in future Nigerian government should embark on sample surveys rather than carrying out a complete census. |
donnymikky:God no dey sleep thats why he was not sworn in. He was even more religiously intolerant than Buhari. He was a muslim and he picked a muslim to be his vice in a planned democracy. Thank God for using IBB to stop that. Were we blind then?? Where we all sleeping?? Nonody said anything about religion then o, imagine. Buhari's case is different, he came into power through a coup and he had to pick Idiagbon who was one of the key players in that coup to be his vice. Buhari is the best presidential candidate and material in Nigeria at the moment than can bring sanity into Nigeria. Those who do not want him to be our president have skeletons in their cupboards and are afraid of what will become of them should Buhari become the president. |
Buluti, are you a Demographer?? Or a statistician?? i love your explanation on confidence limit and error margin. So at what level of confidence are you asking us to reject Makama's census figures?? |
The recent increment in FG workers wages is just the 1st step to increment in the pump price of petrol. They want petrol to be sold at N100.00/litre. At the moment petrol is being sold unofficially at N100.00 - N150.00 per litre; by the time government comes out to officially announce the increment in the pump price of petrol we all will clap hands for them and accept it; at the end of the day there will be a corresponding increase in the prices of goods and services which automatically means that there is inflation in the country. Na God go help us. |
buluti:The guy don dey run mental becos of census figures; na wa ooo. I wonder if the guy ever has time to do other things that will earn him money; do they pay him for all the write-ups and population analyses he has been making?? |
nigeria1:Yes, they are yoruba-fulani, just like we have hausa-fulani. |
Davidylan, you are too sentimental. what is wrong in building a dry port in the north?? What is wrong in building pipelines and refineries in the north?? This is Nigeria and the government can do anything they want, stop insulting our goverment please. Come back to the country and be part of the government so that you can advice them best on what to do since all of them lack focus. i bet you, you cannot win to become councillor in your village ward. |
Sammiejo:So how south africa na?? Na which side you dey there?? SOWETO?? |
froggie:No, government say dem go allow them continue with their programs before them start the real university system. But na nonsense our government dey do so o. |
When government dey plan to cancell polytechnics you dey ask of the exams!! I doubt if there would be poly-jamb this year. |
Ndipe:If they have faith in the idol they can continue. After all ur christianity or islam or judiasm or buddaism depends on your faith; if you have faith things will work well for you. |
Whatz the big deal there?? Where were you when a giant oil Refinery was built in kaduna?? |
Davidylan, Bob Marley got revelations and prophecies which he revealed and prophecied to the world; that makes him a prophet. Please allow me and others who believe him to be a true prophet be!! Your opinion and views about him cannot be the same with everybody. |
if i may ask, who is a prophet?? |
please help me ask him o. He knows so much about prophets, both genuine and false prophets. |
if he's a fulani nko?? The most important thing is that he is an indigene of kwara state. If we can have Hausa-Fulani i believe we should also have Yoruba-Fulani too, which i believe Saraki is. Make una allow the man jo. |
davidylan:for you to have called him a false prophet, he must have got prophesies, but you don't believe in them. |
davidylan:Why do you call him a false prophet?? Were his prophesies false?? |
Ndipe:Yes, Marley was a true prophet of Jah Rastafarai. Must every prophet be a christian?? Were prophets Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Noah and others christians?? Marley's words and prophecies have all come to pass!! |
donnymikky:with what was going on in Nigeria then; high level of corruption by politicians and Shagari's government officials, it was a good thing Buhari and Idiagbon did by over throwing that corrupt goverment and arresting corrupt politicians and governors. Buhari is a discipline and non-corrupt man; he has a very strong integrity which all Nigerians know. As for religious tolerance i think he is beginning to learn how to tolerate and live with muslims and non-muslims alike. Atleast he was able to help us deal with Umaru Dikko!! |
I thought the reform was meant to remove the discrimination against polytechnic graduates and holders of HND certificate, and to empower polytechnics to start running Masters and PhD programs?? This is all rubbish!! States will have polytechnics while Federal government will not have; it does n't make any sense to any sensible man. if states still have polytechnics it means the discrimination still goes on. |
Stop disturbing your self with census figures analysis. if you want to challenge the results go to National ASSEMBLY and ask dem to reject the census result, short and simple. No worry people again. |
if thatz the issue then states should not be compelled to run their socalled 9-3-4 system. So at Federal level there are no polytechnics, while at state level there are polytechnics, abi?? Soon we will have form 1-5 in secondary schools at state level and 9-3-4 system will be introduced for only schools under the Federal government. It's absolutely rubbish!! This people have succeded in deforming our educational sector rather than reforming it. |
