What do you have against the Lagos house of assemblyhuh. They have performed well, do you think it is Governor that is taking all the decisions and doing everything all alonehuh They are definitely contributing their own quota too.

I thought it was only me that saw that. Just to add that CPC only had significant votes in the areas that they won and came last in every other area.   Go GEJ
yeah, GEJ has more support than PDP itself. I have repeatedly told my friends in the north that GEJ is PDP's saving grace otherwise in a free and fair poll they would have gone down totally. However, the pro-Yar'adua and Pro-Zoning PDP members did GEJ a great favour had they been more discrete and tactful in the approach of the issue, GEJ would have been less popular and not gained as much sympathy. This is God for you He works in his own ways. But it will still be very close, CPC and Buhari are not push-overs, moreover they are stronger in a larger territory. The same way GEJ will enjoy more support in the south than PDP, Buhari will also enjoy more support than CPC in the north. For me the South-west will be the deciding factor, should ACN pull a great feet in the south-west or find themselves at par with PDP, then CPC will have an edge.
PoliticsRe: National Assembly Elections, Saturday 9th April, 2011 by JaaizTech: 2:28pm On Apr 10, 2011
It seems GEJ supporters are very jittery; no one has been talking about the Presidential candidates but GEJ supporters keep dropping snippets about how peoples mind would change on sunday or how GEJ should be commended for these outcomes, on how election winners would return to the PDP. My advice to them is to keep calm, it is just 6 days away, and since free and fair is nearly guaranteed, no one needs to worry the most popular man will win.

No need to celebrate cos we have been here before. 90% of the ACN and APGA candidates in the South East are PDP members and affiliates of GEJ who went there to get the tickets. When GEJ wins, they would all decamp back to PDP as usual.Even in Bayelsa where Labour Party is projected to win the Governorship, Alaibe is an associate of GEJ who would again definately go back to PDP if he wins. The point is, people are voting for individuals more than party, thats why PDP could win in Gombe.
Don't be too sure about that, once Alaibe realises that He doesn't need GEJ to remain relevant to his people, He would prefer to remain in a party that He can easily have a strangle hold of. a party with lesser competitors. And the fear of the next election (4 yrs time) will make politicians think twice before making any decisions.

It is really disappointing that despite the huge turn out during registration, we are having such low turn out of voters; all I have been seeing since is 179 votes to 300 votes maximum pulled by any party in south west. Down here in the north the turn out is massive. In many places more than a 1000 voters, taking Kaduna for example. And before some of you start saying "Cows" and the likes also voted. This one is real and open for everyone to see. Live witness. In the polling station close to my house CPC pulled 770+ votes compared to PDP's 75 or thereabout. It'll amaze you that some polling stations are just concluding counting.

PoliticsThe Worth Of My Vote by JaaizTech(op): 10:11am On Apr 09, 2011
This note, written by A. T. Abdulrahman (Mrs.) was sent to my yahoo inbox I think it makes sense.

"THE VALUE OF MY VOTE

As the general elections draw closer, politicians are getting desperate to get more people to cast their votes in their favour.

Last week, I witnessed an amazing drama unfold as a politician tried frantically to convince my neighbour to cast his vote for a party. When the politician realized that his effort was getting him nowhere, he decided to use the power in his pocket. He brought out a bundle of N200 notes and dangled it in my neighbour’s face, basically the way you would dangle some bait to an animal you are trying to catch.

"How much is your vote?" he asked, with a deceptive smile on his face.

My neighbour hesitated for a moment, and then he grabbed a piece of paper and began to scribble down something. When he finished writing, he handed the piece of paper to the politician saying, "This is the value of my vote."

The politician went through the paper briefly and then squeezed and threw it away, in my direction. He hurried away, saying that my neighbour wasn’t being rational.

My neighbour, realizing I was watching, picked up the paper and said, waving the paper at me, "Am I being irrational?"

I collected the paper and took a quickly look at it. He had written on the paper the breakdown of his family’s expenses, which the government (according to him) had so far failed to provide or make available for its citizens. He then multiplied everything by four (4) years. Something like this:

Security - N20,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N960,000

Generator - N40,000 per 2 years x 2 = N80,000

Fuel for generator - N1,000 per day x 365 days x 4 years = N1,460,000

Potable water - N500 per day x 365 days x 4 years = N730,000

Healthcare Insurance - N10,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N480,000

Education - N5,000 per month x 12 months x 4 years = N240,000

Housing - N500,000 per year x 4 years = N2,000,000

Total - N5,950,000 (five million nine hundred and fifty thousand naira)

"Well," he explained as I continued to stare at his breakdown, "if asking for the basic necessities of life is not being rational, I wonder what is rational?"

"I wasn’t trying to be difficult," he continued. "I believe this is a modest breakdown of expenses considering I have a wife and a kid. If you have a larger family, the value of your vote may be much higher than this," he concluded.

So, my dear friend, if you want to sell your vote, I won’t say "don’t." But, be like my neighbour. Make sure it is "worth its weight in gold."

(Inspired by a true story)

Wish Nigeria the Best of Leaders Through a Free and Fair Election.

Have a Peaceful Election!"

Hi All,

When you see people putting "Sai PDP" as their signature despite the failure of the party in all aspects of our life including education where over 80% of candidates now fail SSCE, then you know there is something wrong somewhere - it is either critical thinking is lacking or those guys are afraid of a system where 419 is impossible; where drug trafficking will be delt a crushing blow; where official stealing will be impossible; etc.

Whoever is voting for PDP/GEJ for any reason is either insane, ignorant or hopelessly corrupt - you can't hide under religion or tribe to entrench corruption in our country.
I need to make no further comment. For someone to think of voting PDP, is rather pathetic enough. For whathuh Exactly for whathuh For the past 12 yearshuh or is it for the past 1 year plus the years GEJ used as Bayelsa's Governorhuh For what huh?

It is excusable not to find Buhari acceptable or not to be a fan of Buhari. But it is inexcusable to support PDP, absolutely inexcusable except you yourself is as corrupt.
PoliticsRe: Why You'll Never Vote For Goodluck Jonathan? by JaaizTech: 9:30pm On Apr 04, 2011
Head to Head, Buhari and Ribadu has got a far better reputation than Jonathan, Jonathan in his short stint as Bayelsa Governor already had allegations of corruption hanging over his head and was able to declare a 300 million naira net worth (shocking!, which company bros. own).
Secondly, I can remember the time Buhari ruled, yes He led Nigeria with a strong fist, He did what today we will call against human right. But to what end did He do all He did, in order to achieve a disciplined nation, a disciplined people, an incorruptible leadership. He sat on a big chunk of Nigeria's wealth while in PTF, but today no one would dare rank him along side IBB, OBJ, GEJ, SAMBO or any of the governors in terms of wealth. He doesn't have any oil wells to his name; I can guarantee the forementioned ex-leaders all have.

Even putting all that aside, who are the men around Jonathanhuh criminal PDP sycophants. What has the party achieved in the last 12 years, very little or nothing, so why would someone think of bringing them backhuh On what basis would PDP be allowed to rule for another 4 yearshuh I strongly believe that either an ACN government or CPC government will do twice better.
PoliticsRe: Jega Offers To Resign, Jonathan Rejects; Resignation Amounts To Treason – Agf by JaaizTech: 9:12pm On Apr 04, 2011
This only proves one thing to me; JEGA is on a battle ground, as He is planning a free and fair election so are other people planning to make him unsuccessful; it is a very simple matter for JEGA to contract out the printing of the paper (which was chosen not to be printed in Nigeria for obvious reasons), and expect the international vendor to deliver. But for whatever reason, the vendor chose to disappoint (Only God knows whether some people are behind this). JEGA left with no choice, postponed the election instead of going the Maurice Iwu style (where elections didn't take place in DELTA but Uduaghan was produced as winner)

JEGA needs to be stubborn to achieve what He needs to achieve; succumbing to allow the military such high level control could be dangerous; once the high level hierarchy of the military is compromised the rest is easy (And believe me that is easy for PDP to do).JEGA for me you have done well, do whatever it takes for you to get it right. No compromises it must just be done right.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Blackmail CPC And General Buhari - CPC Response To Bluelabs Limited by JaaizTech: 8:51pm On Apr 01, 2011
Much ado about nothing; Let them to go court rather than result to cheap publicity stunts. Their intentions to tarnish Buhari's image is so evident. Instead of tagging it "CPCSTOLEOURIDEA" (assuming their claims are right); they chose to use Buhari's name because of their secret motives.Afterall it is obvious from their statements that their previous contacts were all made to CPC and not Buhari, so why quickly tag Buhari along now.

Na waa ooo>

The president is making this huge policy statement without any consideration about time frame. Then it's a political gimmick.

I want yam?

How do i get it? Where i get it? Who provide it? How do i continue to have it?

Those are simple questions that affect the basic choice of people.

You just just give order to get a thing that's not available for various reasons, is to me, a mere foolish statement.

What he mentioned will take like 10 yrs to implement considering the way we do things. There's nothing bad about that, though other than he want it to be done now!

Yea, he has to start somewhere; i know. The problem is this immediate action will lead to another SUBSIDY. Don't ask me how because it's already implied if you really know what is subsidy and how it works.

I know i want to start doing something in Nigeria but, where is the power and other infrastructures. Let him do these things one after the other and stop making big POLICY statement like is talking to some BOLI sellers all the time.
This is nothing other than a political statement; and it is a stupid one at that. Firstly, I do not know of any other plant that assembles car in Nigeria except PAN (Peugeot) and Innoson(Which I am not sure is fully functional yet). So if the Presidency wants all federal government cars to be peugeot He should have just said so, but as far as I know that was the case decades ago, and it was after democracy came that PDP decided to move away from peugeot and House of assembly members started purchasing Benz.

If I am not mistaken, even the official car of the President isn't peugeot. PAN which is wholly controlled by Government and her partners in France is gradually going down the drain, and instead of Mr. President to address the challenges and make PAN viable again, He is making promises that He will build a new car Asssembly plant over the next 4 years. Shocking how Presidents makes promises that don't even reflect in the nation's budget!!!.

A thinking Government, would pay attention to core areas like the Iron and steel industry, which will propel investors to make Nigeria the hub of their factories; but a daft Government will forget about the Ajaokuta steel company, and come out ranting about building Car manufacturing plants for which He has no blue-prints for.

I have watched one of Siasia's training sessions, He addressed the players with litle respect and I guess that is what He is doing with the senior team too, and perhaps the players don't like it. But that is no excuse for Osaze to do this in public. Lastly, you know what from my experience Nigerians usually need a no nonsense manager that flogs people into line, rather than one that listens and is all welcoming.

I hope Siasia's methods work sha.

Kudos to the GEJ team. Revitalising the rail transport is one of the biggest achievement of his just over one year administration as substantial president of Nigeria. Along with his power sector reform,  gas master plan, and perhaps on-coming signing of FOI and PIB bills as laws. Nigeria under President GEJ is destined for greater height. Pride is finally coming back to the battered Nigerians.

With all his imperfections GEJ is a good administrator, he has done well. He deserve our support!
Definitely, this has nothing to do with GEJ's last one year of Governance. If He deserves any praise, it should be for not stopping the project or for not using the whole money for the Project for campaign. Anyways I heard Yar'adua had already released the major sum of money for the Project before his demise, perhaps that is why GEJ couldn't divert the money for campaign (@ about 400,000 naira per jingle; it would take Jonathan a very little time to exhaust the money).

A vote for Jonathan only means one thing a vote for the past 12years; nothing will change it will just be business as usual. People should 'think' and ask themselves if they want another 4 years to go the same way the last 12 years did, It doesn't have to be Buhari but it definitely isn't GEJ; a vote for GEJ will be a vote for corruption, ineptitude and poverty. I bet Ribadu or Buhari will bring something better; just the change away from the old is almost good enough.

Region or Religion shouldn't be of great importance, it is sad that the South-South have never had the Presidency but we can say because we want to appease the South-South then we should sell the future of this country; had it been an Oshiomole then I am sure the support for south-south will be very tangible; but another PDP government for another 4 years is just a NO NO NO!
