It is a still a surprise how APC got this much number of votes because:

1. State APC heavyweights such as Senator Chris Ngige, Chief George Muoghalu, etc refused to participate in Andy Ubah's campaign having being brazenly cheated out of APC primaries.

2. While some big APGA members defected to APC, their foot-soldiers who made them tick stayed back in APGA.

3. Hope Uzodimma's attempt to lead Andy Ubah's campaign infuriated most Anambra people and it was widely discussed across the state and rejected. Though he deliberately pulled out of the scene later, the damage had been done.
