scummies habit of starting the season slowly will count in fulham's favour. I hope they fully capitalize on the tantalizing opportunity tongue

This has to go down as the second most ridiculous deal after Ibra-eto'o last season

Releasing Petrov and Bellamy,(the club's most dangerous wingers/wing forward) further exposes Mancini's ineptitude as a manager.

What could possibly be the rational behind releasing, the club's best player last season, on loan to cardiff undecided

Any dream interpreters in the house
Tow nights ago I had a dream about AW and Liverpool,I've spent the past 24 hrs trying to figure out the meaning but could not, hence I'm throwing the dream on this thread for Dayo and any other dream interpreters to tell me the meaning.

I was in a dream(seriously) and we were at Anfield, with the stands occupied by fans of The Arsenal and Liverpoool, however there was no single footballer on the pitch, only AW was on the pitch and he wore the scousers shorts and jersey and was running from one half of the pitch to the other. Some section of the stand would applaud him every now and then, while some othersection would boo him loudly to which he would respond by facing the booing section and rub his palm from his chest down his stomach,as if to tell them to relax.

What does this all mean
grin grin grin grin That's madness in its purest, unadulterated form. you don't have to be Joseph to figure out the meaning of that dream.

One can only cope with trophylessness for so long.

Exactly just the way Gerd Muller was more respected than any striker of his generation due to his World cup goals,

Fontaine was remembered for years, and almost everyone cant remember who the other strikers in Europe around 1958 were but everyone remembers Fontaine

50yrs later we all talk about Fontaine, Who remembers the CL, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga top scorers in 1958?
You can't be serious . . absolute gibberish

Who and who talks about fontaine ?

There's a reason why some names (Fontaine,Klose) rarely appears on the list of greatest stikers/footballers ever. I'm yet to see any pundit that

will rate him higher or put him on the same level as Pele, ronaldo lima, eusebio, Puskas,Romario et al. only a drunk goat will include Fontaine and klose

in their top 10 list of greatest players ever. some things are so obvious

Super' Mario Balotelli jets in to finalise £23m switch to Manchester City

Inter Milan bad-boy ‘Super’ Mario Balotelli has completed his medical ahead of completing a move to Manchester City.

Eastlands boss Roberto Mancini is on the verge of being reunited with a player he brought through the ranks at Inter before pitching up in the Barclays Premier League.

The striker, who turned 20 on Thursday, is believed to be making the switch for an initial fee of £20million with an extra £3m to be paid in add-ons.

The move would cap a memorable week for Balotelli who made his international debut with Italy on Wednesday night.

And the European champions have now given him permission to travel to England, on a private jet laid on by City, to finalise the deal.

His arrival will come too late to be registered for the season curtain-raiser against Tottenham but he is expected to make his debut in the clash with Liverpool on August 23.

Mancini said: 'We are close with Balotelli. Hopefully today or tomorrow. Mario is on his way here today.'

Balotelli's team-mate Marco Materazzi has already expressed his dismay at the departure, he said: 'I am happy for Mario, but we will be weakened by his departure.'

But the City boss conceded the deal to secure James Milner will take a little longer after hitting a snag.

Stephen Ireland's demand for a whopping £2m to leave the club and his attempts to avoid a huge pay-cut from his current £72,000-a-week have put the breaks on the England midfielder's transfer to Eastlands.

It looks like Neymer will join us in the coming days.
Santos slam Blues over Neymar
Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has hit out at Chelsea's conduct in their pursuit of his club's star striker, Neymar.

The 18-year-old, who recently marked his Brazil debut with a goal in a 2-0 win over the USA, has been tracked by the Blues for some time, but Robeiro has had enough and is weighing up a complaint to FIFA.

He told reporters: "The club have made a formal offer that was rejected outright, but the harassment has continued.

"In light of the ethical positions that should govern the relationship between clubs, that is totally intolerable and Santos will defend its interests before FIFA.

"Yesterday, there was a telephone call. They got in touch with my secretary and asked for our fax number.

"That does not mean the opening for trading. Santos has no interest in negotiating over Neymar for any money.

"The contract between the player and the club has a compensation clause. If the clause is satisfied, we cannot do anything."

I don't think so. report from santos suggests otherwise. I will love to see him at the club tho, amazing talent he is

I don't even think he has been that woeful in recent times.
The tabloids and bloggers just delight in writing rubbish about him.
First of all, he has a 'whack' name for a Goalie grin
Apart from that he's been an alright 2nd goalie.
It's plain daft to be comparing him with Cech.
(Cech is arguably the best Goalie in the world)
He's done a good job everytime he 's been called on.
Spot on.

I couldn't have articulated that any better. People are not giving him the credit he deserves. for a second choice goalie he has done a remarkable

job so far and has already gained my respect regardless of his future performances.

Wenger needs to buy a decent goalie if you are to be taken seriously and win laurels this season. as folli pointed out, your mediocre goalies

have cost you numerous titles in previous seasons and splurging on a decent/world class goalie would be a rewarding investment IMHO.

He's just 34 !!!! shocked
We should offload him to the arsenal to complement the list of duds at the club as wenger seems to have a thing for mediocre goalies tongue

that may just fulfill his fantasies , don't you think grin grin

on a serious note: I still have some confidence in the lad to produce the goods in Cech's absence, he is experienced and has risen to the most

difficult challenges in the past. I will attribute his woeful performance in recent times to drop in form which all goalies and players are subjected to.

How would you know if Fontaine is a better striker than Batistuta and Romario.

Who is better George Best or Cristiano Ronaldo?

We all hear about Fontaine 40yrs after achieving his record I am still asking anyone to tell us who the top scorer in CL was in 1958, Who the best striker in Europe was between 1965 and 1969?

Anything you do at the World cup supercedes all those Sunday Sunday football
Going by that logic, Klose is better than Klinsmann, Batistuta, Romario, Shearer, Roberto Baggio, Stoichov, George Weah, Del piero et al
