I finished university in 2014, finished serving in 2015. I’d gone back to my alma mater to apply for Graduate assistant position as I made a first class. They kept going back and forth until I took another offer(not lecturing) after few months of waiting.

I just got an offer to join this same University today as a graduate assistant.

I make roughly 500k at my current work place. I also love lecturing but would want to go back after I have made money.

Has anyone been in this type of situation?
What would you do?

Public donations are long time gimmicks of corporate bodies. In that while the public may consider such moves laudable...the donations are actually tax deductible.
That is, the said company will always deduct the same/higher amount from the tax they would have had to pay the government.

In the end, the whole thing may be audio. When GTB for instance built an isolation centre for Lagos State, GTB will get the necessary receipts.... (maybe even inflate the actual costs if they decide to go rouge... I'm sure they won't do this cos it's illegal) and deduct same (or some high percent of the) amount from their taxes for the year.... It becomes part of their corporate social responsibility.

That's not to downplay the empathy they have shown in this manner o! Afterall we've churches who have decided to tax their worshippers online rather than finding ways to ameliorate their parishioner's suffering in this period.

The secret is I went spiritual, I mean to a pastor to help me pray for him so he can pass his professional exams and secure a good job..prayers answered in a short while ..he is now an ex tho but did not know dat behind his smiles today is a woman that cried to God endlessly in a prayer room..I wouldn't regret i did that for him..

Forget about the naysayers.... Whether your actions played a part in his success or not. The fact that you had the intention and followed through on it, especially without his involvement. I refrained from insulting you. I decided to believe your conclusion was not randomly reached. I just don't think they're correct is all.

The US generally doesn't like too much strength in it's currency as it discourages local production in America and encourages the exportation/outsourcing of jobs. It's in fact one of the reasons Trump repeatedly berates China's Xi Jimpin(not too sure if the spelling) and accuses the latter of currency devaluation.

So yes ..the USD is the world's reserve currency...but allowing it to strengthen without concordant economic realities will not do the US too much good either.

If you ask me ..I think the fact the US just lowered their interest rates....along with massive funds Trump's government has promised to inject into the economy are amongst the chief reasons for the dollar upside.

Had we not been operating a shadow economy ourself, these recent announcements of Corona donations by banks and governments should have stimulated our economy into some recovery too but ...

Our presidential team seems embroiled in putting out too many fires at the moment ...and we don't know who's leading the country at the moment. All these uncertainties only make Investors want to liquidate. Thus leading to our current predicament. They will soon start banning some items from being imported now... IMF and other economic organization manipulate economic indices to favor developed countries, America print more dollars at its own discretion, the dollar is like the world legal tender so it's going to be hard to watch it depreciate without bringing down other currencies to favor its stability.

For every single mother here, do your child a favor by locating the sperm donor for child support, go all out. Try welfare and ministry of women affairs, don't raise these kids alone. They will still go back to their father when they grow up just to hear his own side of the story. They might even hate you for manipulating them against their father, wake up. Don't tell me you can't trust him with your child, but you trust him enough to have child with him.
