In a period where some Pastors are been accused of rape, movie producer, Leila Djansi has advised Ghanaians and her followers to desist from attending Churches Pastors are given superior treatment.
She made this known in a long write up she did on her Facebook wall
Her post read “Don’t attend a church where the pastor's chair is different from the members own and kingly. He’s not your king! Christ is.
Don’t attend a church where members go to the pastor's house to cook and clean and raise his children. That’s not what you were called to do. You are called to be Christ Ambassadors, not Pastor’s pawns.
Don’t attend a church that has no accountability. You must ask and see the books anytime. It’s your duty to the sacrifice of Christ to hold your leaders accountable.Don’t attend a church that’s always in the middle of a building project! God does not reside in temples. He’s in your heart. Build your heart for him!
Don’t attend a church that does not have a weekly outreach for the poor and needy in society. WEEKLY. You can’t have more revivals than outreach! Soup kitchens for the homeless, back to school bags for the students, job placement fairs for graduates, hospital and prison fellowship/visits, widows and orphans welfare programs.
Don’t attend a church where thrice a month, the sermon is about financial prosperity. God said not to worry about those things. The birds and flowers don’t, but they’re clothed and fed daily!
Don’t attend a church where women are coerced into being lesser than men. Jesus dragged Martha out of the kitchen to STUDY at his feet. Jesus likes smart women, ok.
Don’t attend a church where the pastor has more than 3 cars. Is he a car dealer?Don’t attend a church where a poor member cannot chair the harvest committee or host a church event. The church is not only for the rich and influential.
Don’t attend a church where rich people do not show up to sweep and clean, where men do not come to sweep and clean the chapel for service. Women are more than hewers of wood and fetchers of water.
Finally, know and understand the God in whom you have believed, so you are not misled!
Remember, quoting the bible doesn’t make you an ambassador for Christ. Just as visiting Dubai and bragging about it doesn’t make its president your friend.

"You even shout at dad and get really angry at him. Dad offered to drive us, but you spoke to him so rudely. I have noticed that whenever you talk harshly at dad, he picks up a newspaper and doesn't say a word to avoid fighting with you. Sometimes I think you treat your friends better than dad, your friends would never hear you talk badly at them. Do you always have to shout and be angry mom?"

She didn't say anything. She continued driving.

Her husband looked at her and put down the newspaper he was reading.

Her husband noticed she was changing directions.

She drove in to the parking of Uchumi Langata Hyper.

After parking, she unbuckled her seat belt, opened the door, got out of the car then opened the back seat door to where her child was sitting.

Her husband was concerned that she might scold their child in public. She's done it before.

Instead, she hugged and held her child closely and said, "I am sorry you feel that way. I don't hate you or your dad. I love you. I love my family. I am sorry sometimes I get angry, angry over even little things. I don't want to be an evil, ever grumpy mom so I will change. I will speak to you and dad better. I didn't know what I was doing is that bad. I don't hate you OK? I love you"

"I love you too mom" the child said.

"You should be enjoying childhood. It hurts to know that you envy how I treat other children. I am your mother, other children should be admiring how I treat you, not the other way round" she said then kissed her child on the forehead.

She looked in front to her husband, "Darling"

"Yes my love" her husband responded looking behind at her and the child.

"I am sorry also for treating you unfairly. I am sorry for taking you for granted knowing that as my husband you will always be there and feeling entitled to treat you whichever way I want. You are a good man. Even though many times I can be difficult, moody and hostile; you still extend grace and love to me. In addition to loving me, you love peace and that is why you'd rather keep quite than start an ugly confrontation with me. Thank you for keeping your cool when I am hot with temper. I am sorry sometimes I am warmer to others than to you. I will change that. I love you" she told her husband.

Her husband unbuckled his belt and reached out to her arm. He took her hand and kissed it.

"I love you my love. You're making it sound like you are a monster. You are a good wife and mother. It's just that you need to work on your temper and tongue. Relax my love, you have been blessed by a good family, enjoy it. You don't need to shout so that we know you're serious or so that we do what you request. You don't look good when veins of frustration pop on your head. Relax. Keep calm. You don't have to be in control of everything. Stop being anxious about every little thing. Enjoy us. Enjoy your family. Enjoy your life" her husband told her.

"Thank you, you two. Shall we go have a meal and drinks at the food court? My treat?" She asked.

"Yes mom, let's. I want a milkshake" the child got excited.

They all got out of the car. Holding hands, they walked to the food court as a loving family.


Check yourself and how you talk to your children and spouse. Do your tone and words speak life? Are you more hospitable to your friends, strangers, visitors, pastors than you are to your family? Don't make your family envy how you treat others yet family should come first

I think the first thing I notice is how people's houses smell. For some reason I always look forward to that usually homely smell.

Not "perfumy", just good ol' house smell. Some are not so pleasant sha, but then every dog has its day and on those days, I just count my losses and move on

I believed that lizard eggs would prevent our opponents from scoring a goal so we put some behind our goalposts! One day a guy had dribbled everyone including our goalkeeper and had only the goal at his mercy! Incredibly he stumbled and fell just as he prepared to shoot at goal!! We quickly recovered and cleared the ball to safety!
That increased our belief!

Since I was young and now I'm crowding my late 40s I find that when I enter an enclosure, be it a house or an office doesn't matter if it's my house or not...car or hospital or church or just about anywhere...my eyes look for the CLOCK first and foremost.
I note the time, cross-check if it's correct then begin to unconsciously admire or rate the clock! This happens irrespective of situation: Happy, sad, serious, jocular or official!
Does this happen to anyone here? Share yours....

I've always said that once you're able to toast a lady and sleep with her it means you have already prepared for the consequences of your actions. It doesn't happen overnight and I tell you don't think of abortion.
Don't begin to imagine what people will say rather think about your family. Speak with your wife and develop a relationship that's based on guiltless feeling. Free your mind face your work and when the child is born nuture it with love also... remember there's the future! What it holds...no one knows!
Get your act together and pay the bride price and be legally wedded before God and man.
Advice: discuss family planning with professionals. Always go along with your wife. Take the decisions together that way no one will feel left out.

Does it mean that labor on a construction site or wheelbarrow pushing in a market is degrading? There's dignity in labor. I for one never let myself look down on any job no matter how little and it's helped me a great deal!
The youth should look beyond expecting to be employed by a parastatal or white collar job and delve into trading or some other things that draws income while we wait for that dream job with the multinationals!
