Then if his wife decides to go on with her life she's free to marry as she's the offended party. And vice versa. But in the case of fear of being harmed or killed a couple can separate until peace can be sort!
Brothers and sisters God instituted marriage so NO ONE can or should adjust or Amend it's natural God given law...else face the consequences...

He's lived in Ghana all this while and started his business here also and owned a few properties until the business went down. He found his way to Lagos and tried to pick up the pieces...his wife stayed back in Ghana with 2 of the children.
This was their agreement.
Unfortunately the man fell ill and died in Lagos.
His burial is coming up in a few weeks time and the people are preparing to attend from Ghana. Now, we're informed that the wife is to pay a sum of #700,000 as part of the burial rites.
Please is this a common practice?
