It never crossed my mind how bastardised the naira has become against major currencies like the US Dollar until I needed to do an FX transaction of $2,000. I thought I could do an online transaction. You know, filling your naira debit card details in the marchant’s portal online and be done with. Little did I know I’m old school in this. I kept getting insufficient funds error message thrown back at me. No, hell no I thought. I have more than enough funds in this account I shouldn’t be getting this damn message I said to myself furious. What I thought was an error message isn’t an error message, it’s in fact a valid message. To my surprise I can only carry out an FX transaction if $100 from my caccount per month. What in the world. Had to go source for US Dollar at the black market. Eventually I manage to get $2,000 for 964,000 naira. Just 36,000 naira short of 1million naira? I know quite alright Dollar to naira exchange rate is a major issue in Nigeria today but I cared less cause most of my transactions are done in naira until today when I had cause to get some dollars. The moral of this is, ditch the naira asap else you might live to regret later in future. I’m putting plans in place to convert my naira to a better relatable currency.

The picture of the 1mill was for my cousin, Sunday Ogunleye that was killed during the #EndSars movement. A meager 1million for a life lost. Meanwhile the govt denied the loss of life in Ekiti state during the protest.

This is amounting to about +- 400billion in revenue. |
By coming here u have inadvertently expressed doubt in the efficacy of what u went there to do,so don’t be surprised if nothing changes. Things of the spirit cannot be understood by a canal mind. All u mentioned are symbolism in the spiritual realm. Candle for instance signifies light. Wherever there’s light u will never find darkness etc. But in all these, your faith is supposed to be paramount, by coming to nl shows u have expressed doubt. By so doing, your purpose of going to seek for prayer at the church u went has been defeated. I wish u well bro |
VaselineCrew:What exactly do you expect the police to do? Chase after them? How long with they keep chasing after cars and people that break the law? Like I’ve always said, the system Nigeria is working on is flawed and unworkable. Reason people in other countries maintain law and order is because they know they can easily be traced if they float and law. They have a workable database of everything within their boundaries. Cars can easily be traced to a particular individual, individuals can easily be traced to a particular address. I would say the process of tracing traffic offenders is, if I’m not mistaking, 80% automated. Easily put, the system is working perfectly. What’s stopping the govt in putting mechanisms in place to forestall occurrences like you mentioned? We have leaders who are bereaved of ideas period. Don’t blame the police blame the people in government. I once wrote to the state government, giving them ideas and solution that will put a total stop to issues like this and install orderliness but nothing was done about it. |
CircleOfWilis:They’ve brought the attention of this lovely peaceful state to the blood sucking politicians and Boko Haram members. You watch how Gombe will start burning. |
Sagefromtheeast:Will get back to u I’m a bit busy atm |
Valenciabaddie:Op, there absolutely nothing wrong in doing spiritual bath. If u are very spiritual (not religious), u will understand this practice transcends religious domination, race culture etc. Read in a post on nl how a site where JESUS did spiritual baths was discovered. There are loads of bible verses that talked about spiritual bath. Eg Leviticus 14: 8-9. With that being said, as regard ur man’s ritualistic bath, I personally see absolutely nothing wrong with it. However if you are concerned or suspicious about his way of life - you have a good reason to be cause kids nowadays do anything to make money - discuss it with him and if your guts is not entirely okay with his explanations, I’d suggest you do the needful. Remember they say “Guts don’t lie.” Be instinctive before making a decision on this. At the end of the day, no mater what people say, the call is yours to make. |
virginprincess:Na dem. Dem don show. Awo eyan holy ghost |
Blossomfirst:Great feat, girl. If you ever get to visit Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, you can hit me up. I’d fix you up with a free hotel accommodation during your stay plus I can show you places, too. |
Talking about celebrities, think of all Manchester United Fc players under Alex Ferguson and Alex himself, I’ve met them one on one on several occasions. |
Came back to Naija after my Masters degree in uk to stay 4 good years without job. I was miserable. Eventually things changed for good. But those years were terrible. |
capitalzero:Stop saying what u don’t know for sure. I need to state it that before we even engage in sex we talked and laughed we each other for at least half an hour. So I’m saying with all intent that there was no case of rape. |
Just travel ban and assets seizure? All culprits should be arrested and tried at ICC. Travel ban and assets seizure is not enough |
pk2me:It’s left for u as the lawyer to present proof that it was pre planned. Your word against mine I suppose. I maintain a clear stance that I was drunk and wouldn’t have engaged in sex with her if not. |
popsy2:Mind u I said the sex wouldn’t have happened if we were in our right senses. I was under the influence, too. Isn’t that a valid argument on my part? |
2yrs ago, a youth corper served in a company I managed. One Friday evening we both went out clubbing with 2 of my friends. There were lots to drink and lots of dancing and body contact. It was fun and at the end of the night we both were under the influence quite obviously. One thing led to the other and we both had sex that night. I’m sure this wouldn’t have happened if we were in our right senses. However, it happened and it was consensual, as in, no persuasion, no force we both wanted it and we both had it albeit under the influence nonetheless, although I initiated it. Days later she grew wings and became nonchalant with her duties and I wasn’t gonna take any of that then she started threatening to report me to her ZI of taking advantage of her. I called her bluff and asked if I raped her. Long story short I had to send her away for insubordination and nonchalant to duties. My question here is: in light of the build up before we had sex that night, can I be done for for rape? Just watching my back just in case she came out in future accusing me of rape. I need answers from lawyers, please. |
Which Nas? Same Nasty Nas Escoba, the veteran? Bro you did great |
What’s with Nigeria with bricks and mortals? Times have changed a great deal and we need learn to be a step ahead. Innovate. Bricks and mortal are archaic architectural design. |
With his face wrapped up like a suffocating ninja, how do we know for sure he’s not an almajiri disguised as an emir? |
Experts saw a wave of protest sweeping across developing countries including Nigeria as a result of economic fallout from the effect of Covid 19. See pic below as forecasted
|
I’m expecting these stations to sue their ass dry |
I’m sorry but the first couple pics are all shades of filth. |
Them say dem vex dem no eat. So the food go spoil ha na wa o for this hard times nai food go spoil? |
Was spraying of monies not banned at some point in this country? Makers and floaters of law |
Azmanaty03:What do u expect? He can’t act beyond his purview. Vp mandates are squarely stated he can’t act beyond it. Blame the foolish Buhari and not him |
Kriss216:U obviously do not understand symbolism. More often than not it’s a sing of good luck. This is not a case of African superstitious beliefs. The western world believes this too, at least in uk. I personally seeing human feces in my dream is a sign a substantial amount of money is coming my way very soon. This is always the case before any substantial amount come my way. I don’t believe in coincidences. What happened to the op might not necessarily be a coincidence. |
Slap plenty for this thread o. Never this much |
Since March when the lockdown started power supply has been a lot batter than it used to be here in Ado Ekiti. Thanks to Covid19. I pray Covid lingers on o |
Seriously fuel hike is not even the problem here. I’m more concerned about the water resources bill. The Govt is hell bent on ceding some part of the country to its Fulani cronies. Since the cattle colonies didn’t materialize they trying out other means thru the water resources bill. Buhari is a devil |
