BUA’s Akwa Ibom refinery when completed will further drive competition in the downstream oil industry which will benefit the consumers through pricing and availability. Aliko Dangote is truly an industrial collosus, a true African giant.

What is not certain, is the extent to which Dangote’s refinery will reduce petrol prices in Nigeria.
What is certain however, is that the laws of economics dictate that a reduced cost of production is likely to reflect in reduced prices.
Our present pump prices are not dictated solely by the international price of crude, but by the landing cost of imported PMS. The components of this landing cost includes product cost, traders and insurance margin, shipping, charges by government agencies, financing & banking charges and storage charges.
You will agree that the elimination of shipping and govt port charges, and a possible reduced product cost in exchange for discounted supply terms or tax incentives, will definitely result in a lower total cost of production and consequently, lower prices at the pump. Some might say Dangote needs to repay loans, pay good wages, pay taxes, maintenance etc. but news flash! The foreign refineries we are currenty importing from also have these overhead costs embedded in their product prices.
Furthermore, with the eventual completion of Abdulsamad Rabiu's 250k bpd BUA refinery in Akwa Ibom, and the Waltersmith 10k bpd modular refinery in Imo among others; we are looking at a combined total capacity of nearly 1m bpd supply of refined petroleum (compared to our current 427.7k bpd/68 million litres daily imported petrol consumption), and the resultant boost in supply is expected to further drive down prices over time.
Other benefits of the refinery include: - Over 100,000 jobs created - Saved Forex spent daily on importation (reducing demand pressure on USD) - Adequate local supply of PMS, AGO, DPK & Jet A1 fuels. - Increased competition in deregulated downstream sector in favor of Nigerians. - Increase in FG Revenue from earnings from dividends (20% investment in refinery), taxes and other levies. - Creation of allied industries and appreciation in real estate value around the refinery. -Nigeria sheds the embarrassing label and internationally acclaimed, disgraceful paradox of being a major crude oil producer that still imports its fuel. My humble two cents.

GYBABA: Country hard and food is expensive and as of now, I personally think beans is one food item that I get to eat which fills me up for long and at the same time, not to expensive. I normally cook 1 and a half cup & it's more than enough to fill me the whole day. For this reason, I've been eating beans frequently. It's about #1400 to #1500 per Congo here in Ibadan for Oloyin beans. Some other varieties are sold as low as 1k per Congo. This method would save your gas or kerosene & it's not for people in a hurry. I tried it after reading about it online. I think it's called "Dry Cooking Method".
So this morning, I decided to cook beans. I cooked Oloyin beans in particular and I cooked it in just about 32 minutes without using Potash (Kaun) or whatever it is most of you use. I know the next question on your minds is the "How?". LFG!
1. The steps matter. 2. I used a thick pot to retain heat (there's a reason for this). 3. I cooked at high flame levels. 4. The cover of the pot has to fit the pot so well, so tightly that the heat won't escape. 5. This will only work when cooking small quantity of beans. Mine is 2 cups. It will take longer when cooking in large quantity. This method is for students & single people who cook for just themselves. Family people, sorry you hear? So I'll head to the steps now.
Whether you're using gas or stove, all the time the beans is on fire, the flame level should be high.
I first made sure the beans boiled. Took about 10 minutes at high flame level, then I switched off the gas & allowed the beans soak in hot water for about 1 hour still inside that same pot. I used a thick pot as it retains heat more than light pots so this kept the water hot within the 1 hour period & it was covered throughout so the heat won't escape.
After 1 hour, the beans had gotten a bit soft. I switched on the gas & turned on the flame to be high. Within 15 minutes, it was already soft after which I added the remaining ingredients apart from onions. I added onions immediately after the 1 hour break.
The remaining 7 minutes was to let the ingredients seep in. Took me exactly 32 minutes with high flames.
There you go fam! Na hard economy make me discover this even though I'm sure some of you here know a faster way even without using extra resources or pressure cooker. If you do it please share, I'm still trying to discover how to cook beans within 5 minutes 😂 Oga Tinubu, you do this one. Na you motivate me. Thank you sir!

I wrote and score 40/100 which is F (carryover) The course wasn’t that hard..I read it, it was time 60 questions to answer 20min too small.
I don’t know what to do….this is my first This is my first carryover course since It breaking me down

When I was graduating, I sat down to chat with a friend a few years behind me.
He said he hadn't had any carryover up to that point. I congratulated him. He now added: "but I haven't had any A, either".
I told him, "Bro, I've had ALL grades, A, B, C, D, E and F. More importantly, I had one F, one E, one D, few Cs. I had over 30 Bs and about 15 As".
So, yeah. I had a carryover. Big deal!
My other grades overwhelmed it and I finished with a very high 2:1.
If your goal is not to have a carryover, you may not realise it. I didn't.
If your goal is to have a high CGPA, you can realise it. I did.
Even so, real life begins after Uni, you know.....I've had employers and bosses who're not as smart as me, but that's life, isn't it?
All I'm saying is, a single carryover defining your life is just not real.
Misterone: for one, you can be a pilot in the air force because your height will not fit into the cockpit of their training aircraft
All creature comforts are made to fit the normal (i.e. average) demographic.
In the case of height, it will be nigh impossible to get a lot of things off-the-shelf if you're either too tall or too short, from clothes to shoes to beds/mattresses to things we all take for granted like toilet seats and shower heads!
Most things need to be specially made/bespoke, for you to enjoy them.
Still, too tall is waaaay better than being a dwarf or hobbit type of person.
However, it's the health issues that are scary. There's a reason why most really old people are "little, old men" or "little old ladies".
As a person of average income and average daily activity, it's better to have a compact body than too long or too short. The extremes both have their issues.
I'm 5-11 and sometimes, as I hit middle age, I wish I was smaller than I am. Young people enjoying their height, wait till you hit 50 and above......and pray you don't gain any weight.
