In the other thread your name was listed as one of the very few that will be going to heaven with me and Jakumo , but i am afraid we may have to place you on pending till further notice, You have changed, since that day you turned the other chic for me to slap again,
What realy went wrong, you backslided ? oh the devil is wicked ,

Is that a gambling tactics to answer a simple question ? Davidylan have coached you abi ?

If religion says i should kill non followers and i do so , ? is religion not the primary cause ?
Lol . . . I wouldn't say "primary cause" no.

People have this crazy thing known as a choice to either follow a religion or not. People are the primary cause, not the religion. In the same way the gun is not the primary cause, but the person shooting it.
Christianity EtcRe: I Have Never Been Ashamed Of Being African by JeSoul(f): 6:36pm On Sep 29, 2009
banom:
Are you saying apart from the practioners, religion and the its words have not caused any form of fairlure ?
But the two go hand in hand don't they? a religion is non existent without followers. Just like a gun is powerless to shoot itself, but placed in the hands of a lunatic it is a dangerous weapon.

@ Jesoul,

Why should religion fail in any case ? is it not supposed to be infalible ?
I should have said "failures of religious people" instead. When you have imperfect men/women in the picture, there will be wrongdoing and evil.
The only thing infallible is God and His word.
Christianity EtcRe: I Have Never Been Ashamed Of Being African by JeSoul(f): 5:55pm On Sep 29, 2009
Atheists:
At a fil festival they showed a short film of children being accused of being witches in Nigeria,Congo and Kenya. Parents abandoning a 2 year old kid because a charlatan masquerading as a man of god has accused that kid of being a witch. This is a prime example of how religion poisons everything. Attacking the most vulnerable members of society in the name of god. You see an atheist would never do such a thing because we don't believe in absurdities
Don't forget to include the Salvation Army - a christian evangelical organization, one of the biggest charitable entities in the entire world, ever present to help at scenes of all kinds and levels of disasters all around the globe. The Salvation Army, a prime example of how religion poisons everything!

Many atheists just love to point at the failures of religion - they forget religion is also the driving force of countless organizations doing incredible charitable work all across the globe by christians, catholics etc.  Off the top of your head, name one atheist-based foundation or organization that does charitable work like the Salvation Army?

Na so we see am oh our offense took the day off in the first two games and in game 3 our D decided to take the day off in the 4th quarter! Palomalu is sorely being missed cos the secondary is shyte.Big Ben has also been unable to locate Santonio lately but i'm sure we'll recover last season has thought me not to rejoice over early starts. The Cowboys where 3-0 and finished 6-7 to miss the playoffs same thing for the Jets and even the Titans with their best record in the AFC got dumped out in the divisionals.
True true. A fast start does not guarantee anything, not by a long shot.

Although i have to admit some teams have just been whack! The Panthers,Bucs,Titans,Redskins(Haynesworth's addition did not change jack maybe they should have gone for a WR cos they stink on offense) and even Cardinals (not writing these ones off ohh! they started worse last year)
Lol . . . esp the Redskins after all that gra-gra last year, Campbell has looked like a 2nd, bordering 3rd string backup QB. I guess no condition is consistent cheesy if you're hot one year do your best to make it a championship year or else.

Didn't pay much attention to football this weekend . . . I was annoyed by the RedSox getting their behinds handed to them by those damn yanks  angry

anyways . . . Bawo you're not even shy to open and smack talk Culter will be better than Brady at seasons end? after ya'll barely squeaked by that sorry excuse for a team called the Seahawks? Brady will be fine, he is coming off an injury for pete's sake. One cannot realistically expect him to suddenly return to the 07' form, these things take time.

A-40 wetin happen yesterday? Cincy has talent sha, nuthin for ya'll to be ashamed about, unlike the Redskins losing to Det  shocked  cheesy I'm happy for that stud Staffor though, good kid. and as for Bratt, remind me again when we are at least half-way thru the season. These Cardinals are shady. Are they a playoff team or not? The Colts handled their biz.

Thank you jare.

I don't care what the "study" says. Two years from now another "study" will come out and say the exact opposite. I am glad I was spanked and I will spank my future children. What I don't support is over-the-top abuse and beatings done under the guise of spanking.

Where are all these part-time NFL fans eh?

Not too many rival games this week. But I will keep an eye on SD v. MIA. One espn 'analyst' had the stones to annoint SD a SB-bound team. I would like to see if there in an atom of merit to such a bold declaration. But of course I have no ulterior motive to see MIA lose and drop down the rankings - -  naaah.

People in NE are spoiled sha. Everyone carrying their head like the Pats lost 6 in a row - geez its just 1 game. The standard is set so so high. Hope they can get it together vs ATL this weekend.

Plus DAL vs CAR should be a fun game on mon nite.

you are like one of the very few christians who are one not by religion but by understanding. The way you display your liberty amazes me like you dont feel any burden unlike bigmodo making noise. I want to ask you if salvation is achieved by faith or by works. Secondly, if i am spiritually deficient big time does it mean my salvation is meaningless?
Babaearly this one too much for me oh  embarassed  smiley but thank you for the kind words  kiss.

babaearly:
I want to ask you if salvation is achieved by faith or by works.
By faith and faith alone my brother! one of the most beautiful things about grace - you can do nothing to earn it and you can do nothing to keep it, it is a gift. And I am ever thankful for that because if it had been works so many of us would be counted out.

Now that being said - works is an inevitable result of faith. Just like smoke is an inevitable result of fire. If there is no smoke then there was no fire, likewise if there are no works, then there was never any real faith. Make sense?

Secondly, if i am spiritually deficient big time does it mean my salvation is meaningless?
Not sure I fully understand what you mean here, can you please break it down a lil further? thanks.

Tell me something I dont know

"I am not one to judge" is completely different to an alleged "who am I to judge"

I havent got the full facts concerning Murda Ma$e case, which is why I said I am not one to judge and resigned to "Only God knows who serves Him"

I still maintain am not quick jumping to judging though its easier poking and pointing fingers

So tell us, what exactly did Ma$e do wrong huh?
No problem my brother, I feel ya smiley. As for mase, that one is a whole 'nother topic lol. Like you I won't make a definitive statement and say he's not a christian but lemme say that I remain unconvinced his coversion is or ever was genuine. I saw an interview of his few months back on some christian network and the speech, the words, the goals of his 'ministry' etc undecided it just doesn't add up to me. I will leave others to make up their own minds on him.

You're making me sound like a broken record now, I didnt insinuate it was biblical

"Only God knows who serves Him" isnt a biblical

so is the law of thermodynanic or the law of gravity not biblical yet a fact smiley

If "Only God knows who serves Him" was biblical, trust me I would have volunteered the scriptural reference

You want to judge? Hmm, go steady with it or the adventure

Where you want to start? - a big can of worms you want to open up

You made reference to "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church" quotation

Yet you brought up Ahmedinejad, Oprah, 50 cents and Tudor that arent in the "church" and never professed to be "christians"
ah ah they are two seperate issues now smiley which is why I seperated it into a different paragraph. I was simply responding again to your statement "who am I to judge" and trying to say "it is perfectly within your biblical rights to "judge" another christian" (I'm not refering specifically to mase, just in general). Kapish smiley

Whats Ahmedinejad, Oprah, 50cents or Tudor got to do with Ma$e

They havent publicly profess their faith like he did

You brought up Ma$e in an alleged light that prompted me to make that/the remark

"Only God knows who serves Him" obviously isnt scripture

FYI check out an earlier post with 6+1 videos concerning Murda Ma$e

Watch the vids and touch base with me over the/my "Only God knows who serves Him" resignation

I am not one to judge which is why I have resigned to "Only God knows who serves Him"

I think its on the record that Ma$e admitted he made a mistake along the way with the Murda comeback with Eminem and co anyway

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-268226.0.html#msg3813155
Brother Recognise, I don't disagree with you smiley I was simply trying to point out that the saying "only God knows who serves Him" isn't entirely a biblical one. Kapish bro, that's all kiss

Furthermore who says we as christians cannot "judge" others who claim to be christians?
1 Cor 5:12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."

Deep Sight:
RIGHT, MANTRAA & TUDOR - I CHALLENGE YOU TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION:

SINCE YOU BOTH SAY: WE DO NOT KNOW -

Then: ALL POSSIBILITIES SHOULD BE KEPT OPEN RIGHT?

DO YOU DENY THAT CREATION BY A SUPERNATURAL DEITY IS ONE OF THE POSSIBILITIES?

WILL YOU STATE THAT EVERY OTHER POSSIBILITY SHOULD BE KEPT OPEN, BUT THIS SINGLE ONE SHOULD BE SHUT?

IF, SO, FOR WHAT REASON MUST WE CONSIDER CHANCE, ALIENS, FORCES, EQUATIONS ETC, AND KICK OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A DEITY.

I NEED TO KNOW IF IT REMAINS A POSSIBILITY WHICH SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO.

NO EVASIVE ANSWERS PLEASE.
Infact this is the question of the year, I hope our friends here will not pull a fast one but answer unequivocally.

We do NOT know if the universe is only a universe. . .it could be a multi verse. . . It could be a part of a bigger system we just do NOT know. . .Saying that the universe can only come about as a result of only 3 options is just limiting your options. . .scientist do not even know what this thing is. . .They are just discovering more and more about it as time goes by. . .The universe as it is makes all the gods of man made religions look too insignificant. . .All the gods of man made religions do not talk about other parts of the universe. . .They only talk about the earth and dwell in the earth because to them the earth alone exist. . .
You have just done the electric slide around the question.

Even if science has not "discovered" this elusive cause, it would still fall under one of David's categories:

Either

1. Chance

or

2. Deity

we can scratch man since we know he didn't, and lets add

3. Aliens

which is it?
