Be content y'all won something last year
cheesy you ever heard of this quote: A billionaire was asked "how much money is enough?" and he replied "just a little more" grin

I can't believe Heat beat ATL the Wade factor came into play again he was balling out of control!!
I still think the Heat will win the series. This is the problem with Atlanta they are young and inconsistent. 1 night they look like studs, the next duds.

As for the Hornets, I don't think they ever really had a chance . . . they haven't been playing well leading up to the postseason, I didn't think they could just flip a switch and become who they were last year.

Im glad you liked it JeSoul smiley

wasnt the movie score to die for? Ever so often I go to the official website just to listen to Mercedes' humming lullaby

I love it. smiley

make sure you get the other one soon!
Yes it was! Infact as the credits were rolling I was thinking the exact same thing . . . sweet and heavenly.

vescucci:
JeSoul. I like you already with that snide bit about Bond wanting to be Bourne. Also, about Crowe's belly, I dare say, one day Danny Craig will look like Leslie Nielson (not sure about d name though) and I won't even like him as much. Hehe. I patiently await Max in a fitful frenzy, if there's anything like that.
My brotha you are in convo with a Bourniac  cheesy I remember being at the theatre for the Identity, when he was on the park bench and the two policemen were questioning him and he suddenly discovered he could fight and do those crazy moves and knocked them out . . . I fell in love  cheesy

Bourne is a wet-behind-the-ears-it's-not-about-saving-the-world-but-saving-my-ass puppy. He's not bad, but he is NOT a man. Craig's 007 is.  They are not in the same galaxy, missy!  angry
lol . . . which kin god? cheesy Craig is average jare. . . I dunno what all the fuss was about him in Casino Royale  huh I have been looking and I still don't see it  grin

The actor is need of a kick award is not necessarily for the actor, but the film or tv role you want to kick him for, for being annnoying. Almost all the guys want to kick Tom Welling; they think he's a wuss for taking four seasons to 'get' Lana, and that he's an annoying goody two-shoes.
oh okay in that case add my 6 inch heels to the list of kickers smiley

Someone wanted to kick Straitham for Transporter 3 and wasn't seconded; no one here nominated him, so I couldn't add it.
Statham needs a kick for accepting useless roles like Crank and the Transporter 3 . . . does he not have any hopes and dreams of being taken as a serious actor?

Crowe is still young, and he looked fit in last year's 3.10 to Yuma with Christian Bale. How many years ago was Gladiator and Proof of Life and Meg Ryan's marriage-costing affair with him? Maybe he looked like that on purpose in State of Play?
Maybe. But it was too 'convincing' if you know what I mean.

Leon Powe done for the season? how come? Yeah, they tried to kill Rondo yesterday, I was surprised they put him back to play.
Torn ACL or whatever. As far as I'm concerned they should shut everyone down including Pierce and Allen before someone else gets another serious injury, especially Rondo . . . there is no repeat  championship to be had this yr.

my message to tyrus thomas and joakim noah - man up and get rid of that bum call kendrick perkins.

CP3 and Chauncey Billups are very close off the courts. I hope their friendship did not sabotage the Hornets sha. Whichever way, I'm still proud of my darling Hornets. At least they played well the first half. I just want them to at least get somewhere. That stupid Andersen needs to cool down. He's too aggressive for my liking jare! Even J.R. Smith can annoy me. angry angry
There was a special on ABC last season where they showed Paul's home and how he frequently has players on the opposing team over as guests but yet when it gets to game time he rips them to shreds  smiley  I doubt he'll have any trouble going nose to nose with Billups.

@ all concerned and tired Celtics fans, supporters & haters,

Leon Powe is done for the season, torn ACL.  angry  Rondo has a sprained foot but is expected to play in game 3. I no know which kin juju Lailai and co employed this yr but it has worked to the nth degree angry

chiogo:
LOL, if you told that to my brother, he won't even hear it. yesterday, he was talking about how Celtics have no excuse for playing badly just because KG is injured, one of their(Bulls') power forwards(I forgot his name) is also injured so it's basically equal. unless u wanna count Scalabrine.
shocked the loss of KG is equal to the loss of the entire Bulls backcourt tongue Tell ur bro he's got it mad twisted. Its true they're playing without fire and passion and there's no excuse for that but really with all the injuries and downtime, I don't blame them. You have to go into the postseason with momentum and cohesiveness - neither of which we had.

Chei, I never seen you talk like this, lmao. They don't only have Rose ooh; Gordon, Hinrich, Joakim Noah(uggh, just his face is annoying). But yeah, do you think they're gonna play us out of the series? I don't even know. shit's crazy, baby.
lol . . . o jare I was just tired of everyone all of a sudden talking 'bout how 'good' the Bulls are . . . everyone suddenly has amnesia of how 'good' the Bulls were supposed to have been 4 yrs and counting now and how 'good' they were during the reg season. Just cos they have been able to stand head to head with the wounded and shorthanded Celtics does not mean jack.
Where's Bawo to defend his precious malus (thanks A-40 smiley )

They match up extremely well with our guards which is why we're having trouble. The playoffs sometimes is all about match-ups. I will not even be suprised if they beat the Celtics as we lack motivation and passion right now and the Bulls are showing they really want this more . . . but I will fall short of anointing them a 'contender' and call them the pretenders that they are until they prove otherwise and shut me up.  cool

Where the Sixers a wonder last year? don't forget they have picked up a game against the Magic on the road already
They showed incredible promise. Only to look like JV-leaguers atimes this yr, no consistency whatsoever. The Sixers also stole game 1 from the Lakers in LA in the finals a buncha yrs ago . . . the magic will shape up and handle their bizniz.

We where 32-9 at home in the regular season that is a far from average home record we would pick at least one game if not both
oh I owe you an apology, I had ur record mixed up with another and I don't recollect ur record being so solid  undecided my bad . . . anyways I also expect it to be a split but its anyone's series . . . the Spurs themselves are skittish. good today, suck tomorrow.

I'm now leary of 1-2 season wonders who return the following season worse off for no apparent or solid reason. Case in point this yr, the Hornets and the Sixers  angry

Don't mind my Mavs Mami they just went to bed and simply allowed Parker and co. to run riot i am happy we achieved our objective which was to win one game in San Antonio as it was always going to be difficult to win both games, all that matters now is for us to try and win both games in Dallas if we do that the series is a wrap!!
I hate to rain on ur parade but somehow I don't see the Mavs holding home court, they haven't been particularly impressive this yr.

Big Baby Davis seems to have a decent mid-range J or where my eyes deceiving me yesterday and also someone needs to tell K.G not to wear those rocks on his ears around me because i would snatch both his ears and the studs if i have to grin grin
Your eyes were certainly not deceiving you. He's been doing it all season, and when they don't fall he makes up for it by hustling for rebounds and deflections. What he lacks in talent he almost makes up for in effort.

I wasn't too suprised the Celtics lost . . . they didn't really have any momentum coming from the reg season. But they will still win the series despite a very impressive showing by Rose in the opener.

. . . its so quiet in here . . . 2 days before the playoffs? shocked smiley

So the draws are all set in stone:

EAST:

Cleveland vs Detroit - I'll say a prayer for Detroit, this is going to be ugly.

Boston vs Chicago - Celtics will probably be without KG for the 1st round but they should win this series.

Atlanta vs Miami - Based solely on the Wade factor, I think Miami might win this one

Orlando vs Philly - I don't see any upset here

WEST:

Lakers vs Utah - Dallas dogded more than just a bullet, I shall also keep Utah in my prayers cheesy

Denver vs New Orleans - Sorry Moonstone, I wish I could pick the Hornets but I don't think they can beat Denver in a 7gamer.

San Antonio vs Dallas - I default to the Spurs but minus Ginobili, I wouldn't be suprised if Dallas beats them

Portland vs Houston - I'm rooting for the young portland studs to do some playoff damage

There was no true moment of relativity in my opinion. And while the plot was somewhat clever, it is unmistakable that the main motive of the writer and producer was to exonerate islam from the terrorism label and portray them as the victim. And not that there's anything wrong with such an undertaking, but it was like going to a gun fight with a plastic knife. It started out promising but it just didn't work. And it just sort of limped its way to the end without truly addressing the very questions it raises.

Many people I've asked thot it was cool but it just didn't do much for me.

I've seen everything on your list except the Chocolate Factory original. How did you feel when Goodfellas didn't win that Best Picture oscar? Isn't that movie just fantastic?
The Oscars should be putting out yearly recalls on movies that should not have won, retrieving their silverware and apologizing to movies that should have taken home the bling. They will never be forgiven for Shawshank until they repent.

I'm guessing DiCaprio's performance nailed Blood Diamond for you? Or is it Djimon Hounsou?
I thot they were both solid and all the extras and lesser roles were all very good too. I was suprised at how well DiCap got the accent down too. But yeah I love movies that educate and leave me thinking and a different person from before I watched it.

. . . but I make exceptions for raw, totally worthless guilty pleasure trips like Norbit  kiss  grin

8 year old Haley's performance in the Sixth Sense was just unbelievable. That boy should have won that oscar.
Nodding . . . I agree. Here's a thot - lets jack the scrub aka Jamie Foxx of his hardware and give it to Haley  smiley
