@Jesoul and Chi-chi Be content y'all won something last year
you ever heard of this quote: A billionaire was asked "how much money is enough?" and he replied "just a little more" ![]() I can't believe Heat beat ATL the Wade factor came into play again he was balling out of control!!I still think the Heat will win the series. This is the problem with Atlanta they are young and inconsistent. 1 night they look like studs, the next duds. As for the Hornets, I don't think they ever really had a chance . . . they haven't been playing well leading up to the postseason, I didn't think they could just flip a switch and become who they were last year. |
ThiefOfHearts:Yes it was! Infact as the credits were rolling I was thinking the exact same thing . . . sweet and heavenly. vescucci:My brotha you are in convo with a Bourniac I remember being at the theatre for the Identity, when he was on the park bench and the two policemen were questioning him and he suddenly discovered he could fight and do those crazy moves and knocked them out . . . I fell in love Death to Bond! May Bourne Live Forever! ![]() |
Oh my lawd what doth my eye espieth? Did you just call Daniel Craig, DANIEL CRAIG, a Bourne Wannabe?!!! Does your bleedin' Bourne have the body of a god? Me thinketh not. Does he have the steel, the flash, the look, the cruelty of Craig? In your dreams, baby! Bourne is a wet-behind-the-ears-it's-not-about-saving-the-world-but-saving-my-ass puppy. He's not bad, but he is NOT a man. Craig's 007 is. They are not in the same galaxy, missy!
lol . . . which kin god? Craig is average jare. . . I am willing to bet Vescucci packs more ammo than danny boy . I dunno what all the fuss was about him in Casino Royale I have been looking and I still don't see it ![]() The actor is need of a kick award is not necessarily for the actor, but the film or tv role you want to kick him for, for being annnoying. Almost all the guys want to kick Tom Welling; they think he's a wuss for taking four seasons to 'get' Lana, and that he's an annoying goody two-shoes.oh okay in that case add my 6 inch heels to the list of kickers Someone wanted to kick Straitham for Transporter 3 and wasn't seconded; no one here nominated him, so I couldn't add it.Statham needs a kick for accepting useless roles like Crank and the Transporter 3 . . . does he not have any hopes and dreams of being taken as a serious actor? Crowe is still young, and he looked fit in last year's 3.10 to Yuma with Christian Bale. How many years ago was Gladiator and Proof of Life and Meg Ryan's marriage-costing affair with him? Maybe he looked like that on purpose in State of Play?Maybe. But it was too 'convincing' if you know what I mean. |
Congrats to Dwight Howard - defensive player of the year. Now go out and show us against the Sixers. |
chiogo:What does it matter? we cannot win the championship like this anyways. Our lines are getting old and a serious injury could be devastating to anything they could do next yr.bawomolo:Didn't your mama teach you not to count ur chickens before they are hatched? ![]() |
bawomolo:Siddon jare. Where ur eyes closed when Rondo drove past Rose on multiple occasions? or was it a blur to you like it was to Rose? ![]() Homeboy managed to get himself a triple double on 1-foot and you are not bowing down for him ![]() chiogo:Torn ACL or whatever. As far as I'm concerned they should shut everyone down including Pierce and Allen before someone else gets another serious injury, especially Rondo . . . there is no repeat championship to be had this yr. |
bawomolo:kai, this one don spoil finish! lucky win? See bottom dweller wey scratch and claw enter playoff picture dey open all 32 and talk trash its not ur fault eh Bawo, it's Rose that I blame. He is giving you false hope for the future of the malus. Don't grasp at the wind brotha, put ur faith in teams like the Cavs and Lakers that we all know will survive even if there were a nuclear holocaust. my message to tyrus thomas and joakim noah - man up and get rid of that bum call kendrick perkins.Joker Noah will revert to the midget that he is, ya'll have had good runs, but I now know betta than to jump on a bandwagon that always seems to lose its wheels. |
Moonstone:There was a special on ABC last season where they showed Paul's home and how he frequently has players on the opposing team over as guests but yet when it gets to game time he rips them to shreds I doubt he'll have any trouble going nose to nose with Billups.@ all concerned and tired Celtics fans, supporters & haters, Leon Powe is done for the season, torn ACL. Rondo has a sprained foot but is expected to play in game 3. I no know which kin juju Lailai and co employed this yr but it has worked to the nth degree chiogo: Tell ur bro he's got it mad twisted. Its true they're playing without fire and passion and there's no excuse for that but really with all the injuries and downtime, I don't blame them. You have to go into the postseason with momentum and cohesiveness - neither of which we had. |
chiogo:lol . . . o jare I was just tired of everyone all of a sudden talking 'bout how 'good' the Bulls are . . . everyone suddenly has amnesia of how 'good' the Bulls were supposed to have been 4 yrs and counting now and how 'good' they were during the reg season. Just cos they have been able to stand head to head with the wounded and shorthanded Celtics does not mean jack. Where's Bawo to defend his precious malus (thanks A-40 )They match up extremely well with our guards which is why we're having trouble. The playoffs sometimes is all about match-ups. I will not even be suprised if they beat the Celtics as we lack motivation and passion right now and the Bulls are showing they really want this more . . . but I will fall short of anointing them a 'contender' and call them the pretenders that they are until they prove otherwise and shut me up. ![]() |
Have you forgotten Reggie Miller's playoff wars with M.J back in the days so soon? Conference finals losses to the Pistons and Knicks how they used to whoop your Celts come playoff time? heck they did it back to back
I have forgotten jare either be relevant or move aside Where the Sixers a wonder last year? don't forget they have picked up a game against the Magic on the road alreadyThey showed incredible promise. Only to look like JV-leaguers atimes this yr, no consistency whatsoever. The Sixers also stole game 1 from the Lakers in LA in the finals a buncha yrs ago . . . the magic will shape up and handle their bizniz. We where 32-9 at home in the regular season that is a far from average home record we would pick at least one game if not bothoh I owe you an apology, I had ur record mixed up with another and I don't recollect ur record being so solid my bad . . . anyways I also expect it to be a split but its anyone's series . . . the Spurs themselves are skittish. good today, suck tomorrow. |
Yo Karma I saw Pan's Lab and it was charming in a most unusual way I liked it and the end was quite fitting, nicely done. They managed to include some grit along with the fantasy and genuine moments of The acting was pretty tight too, she's a promising young talent and I hope she gets more roles and better exposure. I'm working on Curse of the golden flower, will report back when its mission accomplished. @all Anyone see State of Play? don't or rather wait for dvd. It had so much promise and so many directions the writers could have taken the storyline but they settled for the most cliched one however the movie does have genuine moments of suspense and creativity.and a slightly-pot bellied, scruffy, unshaven, run-down looking Russel Crowe made me long for his days of Gladiator the glory of man doth fade so quickly . . . |
You can like to scratch the Pacers off that list they have been an unlucky franchise and where contenders till Reggie Miller retired
Nah i'ma leave the Pacers right there . . . they had a good run few yrs ago only to return reincarnated as scrubs the next yr but i guess that whole Artest fiasco was mostly to blame but still Even same for the Bulls when they had that great season, acquired Ben Wallace who was supposed to put them over the hill, I forget now if they even made the playoffs. I'm now leary of 1-2 season wonders who return the following season worse off for no apparent or solid reason. Case in point this yr, the Hornets and the Sixers Don't mind my Mavs Mami they just went to bed and simply allowed Parker and co. to run riot i am happy we achieved our objective which was to win one game in San Antonio as it was always going to be difficult to win both games, all that matters now is for us to try and win both games in Dallas if we do that the series is a wrap!!I hate to rain on ur parade but somehow I don't see the Mavs holding home court, they haven't been particularly impressive this yr. Big Baby Davis seems to have a decent mid-range J or where my eyes deceiving me yesterday and also someone needs to tell K.G not to wear those rocks on his ears around me because i would snatch both his ears and the studs if i have toYour eyes were certainly not deceiving you. He's been doing it all season, and when they don't fall he makes up for it by hustling for rebounds and deflections. What he lacks in talent he almost makes up for in effort. |
vescucci:lol . . . that explains a lot But for real, I was disappointed after watching QOS . . . what a Bourne wannabe. |
See liver on display . . . anyways kudos to the bulls for playing nose to nose with the def champs . . .too bad they are who they are and they will go right back to sucking and being irrelevant next season Rose or no Rose 1 or 2 great games or playoff series does not make you a contender - just ask the Pacers, Wizards and Sixers.and mad props to Mike Brown coach of the yr, he def deserved it after the fantastic season the Cavs have had. The only thing left is to cop that ring. A-40 e pele oh |
my sister I dey try jare . . . I can't 100% gaurantee Eddie will be left out but I go try sha and I agree these nominees are sketchy . . . the heck is that useless Quantum of Solace doing in the best picture category? Mad fix that one too oh! |

anyone watching the bore of a game 'tween the Hawks and the Moonstone, hope your hornets game is more entertaining no work 2moro so I have all night to enjoy some good quality bball Not suprised either the Magic lost . . . close game and they did throw it away but anyone can lose a game at home to a much lesser opponent. Now, if the Magic (and Celtics) lose game 2 as well then its time to really panic. But yeah the playoffs are much more intresting this way when it doesn't go according to script anyways . . . |
Looks like I've been missing all the fun ![]() What happened to the Celts?Jesoul,Chi-chi any explanationI wasn't too suprised the Celtics lost . . . they didn't really have any momentum coming from the reg season. But they will still win the series despite a very impressive showing by Rose in the opener. and Chiogo you're absolutely right about ur analysis on Allen . . . both he and Pierce looked rusty and missed a ton of open/makeable shots. Moonstone,
Nice game Los Mavs! The much important road win was accomplished hopefully we can win game 2 as well.I have to give Josh Howard props he can be one of the best in the game when he is not smoking weed or cess i also got to shoutout our Puerto Rican CP3 he held it down in the 4TH quarter heck even Dampier did his bit Inexperience is screwing Portland up ooh the Rockets are 70% on FG's even Mutombo is out rebounding the Blazers
and kudos to the Mavs on the win . . . A-40 must be very proud ![]() |
chiogo:men let me add to those 'frownies' looks like all the bad belle and hatorade has finally caught up with us I can see Orlando and Cleveland thanking their respective babalawos oh well I hope Pierce can carry us to at least the EC finals.however I am currently comforted by the spanking the Indians gave those evil Yanks in their new stadium debut Mr & Mrs. A-40, I'll be accepting apologies you peeps will be making to the east in the near future - mark dem words.Moonstone, my dear leave Bawo and his delusions reality will soon give him a rude awakening. Anyways, I hope we see upsets these playoffs . . . where's Doyin who predicted a 2nd rd exit for the Cavs? |
bawomolo:. . . walahi see as this yeye boy don get mouth, cos una land ROY? Words like the highlighted above makes me wonder what they're putting in the air and water in Chicago. |
Moonstone:lol . . . say no more sista ![]() I am rooting for upsets this playoff season as long as its doesn't involve beantown
Celtics vs Prediction: 4-2 (Celtics)
Solid. While I'd like to see Bawos cows get swept, they'll likely pick up a game or two on the Celtics esp without the #1 player terrorizing would-be drivers/slashers into the lane. WESTMy dear update that quote quick quick . . . that may have been true last year but this year the East is beast - look up the record playa ![]() |
. . . its so quiet in here . . . 2 days before the playoffs? So the draws are all set in stone: EAST: Cleveland vs Detroit - I'll say a prayer for Detroit, this is going to be ugly. Boston vs Chicago - Celtics will probably be without KG for the 1st round but they should win this series. Atlanta vs Miami - Based solely on the Wade factor, I think Miami might win this one Orlando vs Philly - I don't see any upset here WEST: Lakers vs Utah - Dallas dogded more than just a bullet, I shall also keep Utah in my prayers ![]() Denver vs New Orleans - Sorry Moonstone, I wish I could pick the Hornets but I don't think they can beat Denver in a 7gamer. San Antonio vs Dallas - I default to the Spurs but minus Ginobili, I wouldn't be suprised if Dallas beats them Portland vs Houston - I'm rooting for the young portland studs to do some playoff damage chiogo:I dey o my sister all the naysayers will be put to shame we can only hope KG is poised for a monster comeback or else ![]() |
iice:Yes quite so. Until they "have you for dinner" or "snap" in the middle of the night or . . . ![]() |
@JS I haven't seen Traitor. Why didn't you like him?
I don't think he ever quite connected with the audience. There was no true moment of relativity in my opinion. And while the plot was somewhat clever, it is unmistakable that the main motive of the writer and producer was to exonerate islam from the terrorism label and portray them as the victim. And not that there's anything wrong with such an undertaking, but it was like going to a gun fight with a plastic knife. It started out promising but it just didn't work. And it just sort of limped its way to the end without truly addressing the very questions it raises. Many people I've asked thot it was cool but it just didn't do much for me. |
Moonstone: LOL . . . only in Dallas would that be possible! lolbawomolo:Hush jare. Did you not see what they were able to do last yr with less talent on the roster? The same team my bulls swept twice in one seasonThese baby bulls of whom you speak of will soon be joining their fellow under acheiving brethren in Wrigley Field ![]() |

Cheadle is an extremely good actor.
Yeah Cheadle is good. I didn't like him in Traitor though ![]() @JeSoulThe sins of Jamie foxx are as high as the heavens, I cannot begin to list else I shall run out of space and time. |
You will remember on that day when it was prophesied to you by jesoul Isn't Beverly Hills Cop funnier than Norbit? No way jose. You didn't think Foxx should have gotten it that year? All the nominees that year were fantastic. They should have just tossed a coin. I was rooting for Don Cheadle (HOTEL RWANDA).The only thing I think Jamie Foxx should get is a non-refundable one way ticket out of hollywood. I cannot stand his un-funny behind. |
iice:Your brotha sounds like my kinda guy ![]() |
iice:hehe . . . That's aight you can have him. The dark sides in Secret window and Sweeny Todd ruined my once immaculate perception of him But I still think he is acting Royalty. Never acts the same character, its always different and that keeps him intresting. |
iice: I know you have 2 pirate copies of Norbit at home . . . you put it on when no one's around and close all the blinds tight . . . armed with a huge bowl of ice cream and laugh yourself to sleep admit it ![]() |
JS! ![]() I've seen everything on your list except the Chocolate Factory original. How did you feel when Goodfellas didn't win that Best Picture oscar? Isn't that movie just fantastic?
The Oscars should be putting out yearly recalls on movies that should not have won, retrieving their silverware and apologizing to movies that should have taken home the bling. They will never be forgiven for Shawshank until they repent. I'm guessing DiCaprio's performance nailed Blood Diamond for you? Or is it Djimon Hounsou?I thot they were both solid and all the extras and lesser roles were all very good too. I was suprised at how well DiCap got the accent down too. But yeah I love movies that educate and leave me thinking and a different person from before I watched it. . . . but I make exceptions for raw, totally worthless guilty pleasure trips like Norbit ![]() 8 year old Haley's performance in the Sixth Sense was just unbelievable. That boy should have won that oscar.Nodding . . . I agree. Here's a thot - lets jack the scrub aka Jamie Foxx of his hardware and give it to Haley ![]() |
