@doyin Lol AFC is like College football compared to the NFC
after years of the American Conf. kicking the NFC around like little school boys, look how this yeye 40 don get mouth this season! While the cat is gone the mice have come out to play, just wait till oga Brady returns and restores some order to this mess doyin13:Have some pity for the guy now . . . he's just returning from years of injury. He coulda pulled off that first down but think I'D be wary of throwing myself into a potentially dangerous play too. He's not on the level of Peyton or Brady but he's still among the best in the league right now. I am just about done with all these black quaterbacks.why now? what about your boy Garrad in JAX? If I remember correctly you were feelin' him last yr. |
@Jesoul Lol you had to see it to believe it i didnt watch the game to the end i stopped around the 3rd period when we where 30-24 down had to go to bed but i did see the game later today Do you know TO and Romo have completed 28 TD passes since they hooked up? its amazing
A-40 I must chastise you here, I left the game with 3:45 mins to go in the 4th, almost midnight here in the east coast . . . a real fan watches every nano second of the game anyways, I'm sure Romo will forgive you.LASIEFAIRE:lol . . . even if the pats gave every prospective SB opponent a copy of their playbook, they still could not stop the Brady-Moss express, our defense lost the SB for us last yr. Dagg that loss hurt! but issokay . . . we shall overcome. And I will ring you up when a good riddle comes up. You might have to travel to Mindanao, Philippines. In the words of Bart Simpson, no problemo. holla@ your girl when u do. |
Big B1:Calm-down? lol I didn't realize or sound like I was hyped at all. You will not find a cooler cookie in any cookie jar than me .I will be waiting patiently for sir BigB to show me the light and "yank" me off the Palin express. *Disclaimer: I will not be responsible for any injuries you sustain in your attempt.* |
My highlights of yesterday's game where Romo's 72 yard pass to TO those guys have chemistry!! Felix Jones 90 plus yard run for a touchdown gosh that dude ran like a bullet train but my best part was seeing McNabb beaten up and sacked like a pinata on the final set of plays. Nice game overall but we could work on that defense they gained yards on us rather too quickly in my opinion but its nice to snap our losing streak at home to them PS:Did anyone see that dummy from the Eagles that dropped the ball before crossing the goal line?the mumu went dancing not realising he had not crossed for a touchdown before releasing the ball
I missed it happen live . . . I had to take off my egusi soup from the stove before it burned . It's hard to imagine TO is only second in all-time td receptions behind Rice . . . wow, it's too bad all his drama takes away from his incredible talent. Romo is good, but prone to costly mistakes, the Boys should just hope he keeps it together in the big moment. |
LASIEFAIRE:Lol really? I missed that story. Who can blame them anyways . . .Brady 3recycled excuses . . . lol . . . even with all the tapes of all the Pats practice, their opponents could still not stop Brady and Moss - FACT. McNabb with the Bears will be scary. He is just what they need, a reliable QB. He should take Westbrook with him - that midget is my man.lol . . . That would be a formiddable line-up. Kick off returns for TD, smack-down defense, fantastic receiving, sound qb . . . I would root for them, until the played the Pats. ![]() Tell me how far your riddle-solving scroll take you in solving a riddle that does not existnot very far I'm afraid . . . I thot I could put my Lara Croft skills to good use OP:I saw the thread a while ago, whats the current attraction on that thread? |
Big B1:boy-friend I don't disagree with the part in bold. My point is that your post is loaded with factual inaccuracies and misquotes that are intentionally meant to be misleading. If Palin is a liar then be honest in your 'facts' about her and then proceed to analyze them and show us how she's a fraud. But you've discredited yourself by posting untruths and half-truths. And I truly think it makes no sense to try to defend someone you do not know.Brotha I have no personal stake in the success or failure of Palin. I neither have no desire to "defend" her . . . my influnece on this election is the total of one vote that will be used however I like. While I do not hide the fact that I personally like Palin's person, if it is uncovered - factually and honestly and accurately - that she is a fraud, best believe I will jump off that train. BUT so far the only thing I've been seeing from the media and posts like yours attempting to dissuade people from her are sensationalized and twisted stories that mostly hold no water. |
Poster, I read through a good chunk of your post and I must say the journalistic integrity and factual accuracy of your statements is at best 50%. There are many things you've quoted as fact that are infact not true or misquoted & 'half'quoted to say something else, did you even read through your copy n paste job? I will not even bother to highlight your inaccuracies, it is obvious you're not concerned with facts but rather sensationalized fables that attempt to justify your dislike for Palin. What has happened to objectivity in journalism today? People are reporting bias and prejudice as news. The media from NY times to Boston globe to Fox to Cnn all have a partisan agenda and don't give their viewers the FACTS anymore. Too much of journalism is driven by opinion and emotion, its too bad. Tim Russert was one of the last of a dying breed. |
LASIEFAIRE:word?! nice pic brotha, very nice. You must be the adventurous kind . . . not many africans I know go mt. climbing and if I remember correctly, you were the bold dude who went sky-diving a while back right? ![]() and leave Romo alone he might unleash his fury on your Bradyless Patriots.Romo no dey fear me jare! lol . . . all that is needed is to show him a picture of Jessica simpson and the guy will lose his arm-strength hehe. Until he wins a playoff game this season there will always be doubters like me hounding him ![]() What a turn of fortunes. Brady out enjoy it now honey, cos Brady will be back in 09 for ring #4. ![]() McNabb in and outplaying everybody. And how do you stop 5-10 Westbrook? He was a monster not even the unprofessional plays(face mask holding, outbounds tackle) of the defense unit of Dallas could hold him down.Yeah it was a great game indeed! def lived up to the hype. I've always liked McNabb so seeing him do well is nice, especially all the crap the philly fans have given him over the years. He's done so much and they don't even appreciate him, sad, he should leave and go to Chicago or something next season. missed her so muchhmmm *scratching my head* time to crack out my riddle-solving scrolls . . . |
Of course Seun will delete it, any other forum is competition and will be taking away valuable traffic from NL. |
@Jesoul Its almost unbelievable the Buffalos are up 2-0 but its still a long way to go i saw the Broncos and the Chargers and i think the Chargers where really unlucky to lose that game We face McNabb and crew today i hope Romo gets his shit together we must win this game
The Chargers are overrated. True that game coulda easily being theirs but if they're such a superpower, the game shouldn't even be close. Where's LT? Wow MNF was crazy! that was a great game btw ur Boys and the Eagles. Congrats on the win. I must say McNabb is impressing me with his pocket movement, wow how many sacks he avoided and still pulled off the play. This is why he was in the SB couple seasons ago. I look forward to the eagles doing big things this season. And 40, Romo needs to put glue on his hands or something! why does he keep on fumbling the ball? Abi he's been rubbing his hands thru Jessica's hair and got too much grease on his hands? If he's feeling the pressure on common MNF, how will he do come NFC playoffs? n possible SB? but at least he still won sha. |
JustGood:My brotha you're right in that there is an extra level of difficulty that arises when two people of different races marry. My uncle has been happily married to a white woman for almost 20yrs now so I know mixed race marriage is possible. He's even written a book about it and the difficulties and struggles of it. So I still think it can work, especially if both of them are christians - they're not just in it for themselves, but also for God. Even with my boyfriend, black but of european upbringing, I encounter a lot of differences that we both have to work hard at, talk less of when we get married. So you're right in that these differences can be fatal to a marriage, but I think if both parties are willing, it will work. |
Analytical:You have spoken well brotha and I believe you're right about the issue is getting married too early. I was worried when they first told me they'D be getting married couple years ago but I knew they were strong christians and thot they'D be okay. You said you believe there is no marriage that cannot be worked at . . . I guess this could be possible if they're both willing to do whatever was necessary. My friend says they tried all they could . . . I'm not sure if I believe that. Divorce is just the easy way out in my opinion, that's why one has to be 100% sure and 100% ready before getting married. What do you think is the next step? I know this will devastate and leave permanent scars on both of them, especially being so young. How does a person get over this kind of thing? I know it is only God that can heal the scars but I also know that there are consequences for our actions and decisions. What would you say to them? I want to be supportive and there for them, but I am also so very disappointed. |
onyinye2:lol . . . I gotta give it to you, you have faith. but my question is what groundbreaking offseason moves did the Texans make to put them in a position to make the big game? |
@Jesoul Cassel didnt do too badly was pretty impressive in my view maybe you might not miss Brady that bad ![]() The AFC is weak sha so i wont be suprised if you crawl up into the SB again but thats a big if don't see too many good teams there besides the Colts and Chargers!! unlike the NFC thats got the Giants,Green Bay and of course the Cowboys but the Giants really slaughtered the Rams last night the Rams QB got sacked so many times a pinata at a mexican birthday gig was in a better shape than he was
Boy I tell you the diminished threat of the AFC powers is great! What is the world coming to when Buffalo are 2-0 and looking really good & the Colts, Chargers look horrible? lol . . . all Cassel has to do is be at least average and leave the rest to the NE defense and the Pats should make the playoffs n do reasonable damage. And I am so happy for Aaron Rodgers after living in the shadows of bratt for all those years to see him doing well is nice. And please don't remind me of those evil giants! I will be rooting for whichever teams plays against them . There shall not be any back-to-back SB winners in recent history besides my Pats. so down NY! hehe ![]() |
LASIEFAIRE:lol . . . true true. I am doing great. Thanks for asking. Just moved into a new apartment, so I'm still sorting things out. It rather than unpack, all I do is listen to music while viewing the Tokyo bay.Dagg that must be a fantastic view! Got pictures? I'm a sucker for nature and great views and I know about moving & unpacking . . . I moved 'bout 4months ago and I'm still getting accustomed to my new crib. And I have been around, I just don't post as much. You were gone for a while too, I was wondering what was wrong. I miss you small.awww how sweet I was absent for a bit- vacation in New Orleans . . . imagine I was thanking God in heaven I just missed being there for the recent hurricane that evacuated the whole city. That was a stroke of grace . Anyways I don't post as much either - there's a whole lotta junkie heads n threads on NL . I am looking forward to your always interesting sig. updates brotha ![]() |
rikkyjen, your Colts did not deserve to win that game against the Vikings. The offense seems completely outta sync, Peyton looked lost, and take an injured player here n there and the colts have absolutely no firepower . . . they barely won that game against the common Vikings? this is great news for fans of other afc teams. with their struggles and the Chargers sucking at 0-2, just maybe the Pats might be able to take advantage. |
Lasiefaire, @ JesoulI'm doing well sweetie . Lil drama here n there but God is in control so I ain't stressing . How have you been? you haven't been around much brotha.A-40 & Onyinye, I give you guys trophys for team loyalty lol . . . Now lets see whose teams will rise above the other. Me I will put my money on the cowboys over the texans - but on neither to make it to the SB ![]() |
Hey everyone, glad to see everyone's doing well, I thank God for u all indeed! I want to discuss an issue & get advice from you guys. I was hit with the news yesterday that two of my very good friends, very strong christians, just got divorced. I wasn't sure how to feel or what to think but it really devastated me to hear that becos I love them very much & especially knowing how much they loved each other and they love God. Apparently they had tried everything they could to stay together and work out their differences (their different race/culture) but the marriage wasn't working. They're both very young, early 20's. He wants to talk to me later this week and I'm not sure what to say cos I'm so disappointed & I believe strongly in what the bible teaches about marriage and divorce. But at the same time I see why a couple would break up if things were very bad. This is the second young couple I'm close to that are getting divorced and it really hurts to see this happening. What do you guys think? |
debolay debolay:Godbless u brotha. We'll all continue to pray for you and don't forget to keep us updated. |
Bawo, shey na picture we go chop? Let us see the Bears be ferocious in real life. Was about time they ousted Rexy, if it weren't for him they coulda won a superbowl couple seasons ago. |
Abeg he should carry go quick quick before something bad happens to him. Nigeria has shown it does not know how to treat its sports patriots, therefore they should not waste their time sacrificing anything. It's just too sad. If greener pastures call, answer and don't look back! |
onyinye2:sounds like someones got it bad for Reggie As for Young, there's rumors that when he's back to full health he'll have to prove himself 'worthy of the starting position' . . . already having troubles? that does not bode well for him and his future |
onyinye2: lol . . . so you were one of them too? ![]() Well if it makes you feel any better Reggie did not do much last yr (though he's looking good so far this yr) and Vince young has injury |
gotta love daddys huh? ![]() Anyways since the Colts are looking pretty rusty and flatfooted, I guess this might be a good time for ur boys to rise up . . . people are expecting to see Mario Williams continue on the great season he had last yr and forever silence the "shoulda picked reggie bush" crowd. |
God will bless you! |
debolay:Thank God for this development. We shall all continue to remember not only her, but you also brotha, that God will bless and keep you and comfort your heart as you trust in Him. It is well with Bisi. |
Onyi bekee:ye kpa! did you just say Dolphins? ROTFLOL . . . whatever it is you're smoking u needs to stop asap! lol nah but seriously maximum 5 games they win this yr.onyinye2:Cool, glad alls square. Cos the way they be showing the "Red zone" of the path of Ike, talking bout 20 foot waves in Galveston . . . scary stuff. Underdogs? true BUT the underdogs gotta show some promise of being great first . I went to their pre-season game with Neworleans few weeks ago . . . nothing special from both sides. Then again maybe its my bias talking . . . I happened to stumble into the dome earlier that day while they were practicing, was really cool to see the players up close on the field but after mumbling some things about people spying on them, security made us leave. I hissed, thinking no be say na even Colts or Cowboys, ordinary Texans dey do shakara? wateveh. |
Doyin, I already know say you no well e go betta for Brady, the Pats will be back in full force so other teams better take advantage of this year ![]() rikkyjen:Kai see as people dey celebrate Brady going down Anyways not so fast there, the Colts had absolutely zero offensive chemistry and momentum in game 1, if that game is an indication of what to expect the rest of the season you should be very afraid ![]() |
onyinye2:Which kin rightful home? lol . . . yeah right! The texans are just average, not enuff fire-power to stand up to the big boys. ps. I hope all is well with you & yours with Hurricane Ike bearing down in your city A-40 its looking good for ur Cowboys . . . as long as Romo can keep his soap opera off the field and Pacman stays outta strip clubs . . . they say old habits die hard but yeah the cowboys have a decent shot this yr |
Gamine:word! ![]()
@Jesoul One man's poison (snickers) is another man's meat (Mars) lol
lol . . . My Snickers told me to to tell your Mars, "you're going down!" ![]() |
