The only time you can life a good life and get a decent job with work permit or PR is if you apply for a Skilled Migrant visa due to your academic qualifications. For example you have a Master's and a PhD, ehn ehn. But if you have just BSc, it's not enough O. You have to use school visa to enter and keep doing courses to prolong your stay while working blue collar jobs. You will pay bills, taxes. And you will also save to repay debt.

Exactly my point. We have such a poor mindset and this mindset has become poisonous and stereotypical. We believe that once we can travel outside of Nigeria either on schooling, our lives have automatically become better. That's a fallacy. Unless you migrate as a skilled migrant and get yourself a white collar job. Meaning you must have been academically sound in your home country before travelling. Many Nigerians will just look for money, and travel in the hope that they will do "German German" and Sha make it one way or the other. Firstly you are already disadvantaged being a Nigerian because they don't respect Nigerians anywhere. Secondly you're black. Racism will kick in. Thirdly, you no get the right papers, no PR. You just dey loaf up and down. One day something will happen, where you are and police will come and raid there and it's the immigrants they will arrest and deport first. Dude I know someone who has 2 Masters from top UK universities. He did his first degree in the UK including a diploma. He is still required to write IELTS despite working for over 10 years in an international company where English is the first language. IELTS at worst can create exceptions for such cases. Haba imagine that Wole Soyinka if he wanted to emigrate from Nigeria today would need to write IELTS (this assumes that he doesn't have a second nationality).
