@JJYOU,
I'm okay and doing well, thanks. Just that so many things have occupied me lately. And you, I trust you're doing great? Glory to God.

Indeed, the forum being a public place for discussing should not mean that we should throw decorum out the window. It is not by disparaging other people that Godly solution is produced - alas! we all find ourselves one way or another in that grip and need to be careful. All the same, thanks for the greeting and God bless you.
thanks well noted.  i am always trying to run away from loveless religious speak but i can never run away from this word i have been trying to show saint kunle for ages.
Galatians 6 (The Message)

Galatians 6
Nothing but the Cross
1-3 Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.

4-5Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.

6Be very sure now, you who have been trained to a self-sufficient maturity, that you enter into a generous common life with those who have trained you, sharing all the good things that you have and experience.

7-8Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.
i know a little about the Spirit of God. like i know He wont lead me into a sexual relationship with some strange woman, He wont lead me to abuse you even when i catch you doing wrong.  the word say be angry but DO NOT SIN.

what i find strange with all the abuse oyedepo, oyakhilome and the redeem man and all that ask for tithes get from kunle and his cronies is that it is "allegedly" done with the spirit of god approval.

i live with a non religious christian it is all please, thanks and non abusive/ threatening even if you are so wrong.

thanks once more. i have enormous respect for you and the grace you show. if i have erred, i am sorry and sincerely ask for forgiveness

may God bless my brother david

may God help us.

you dont need to be a university graduate to use an ATM.  illiterates use ATM world wide why is naija different? machines break down or run out of cash in europe and north america too. it is not a nigeria thing.

N100 is a small money to smear a bank for dont you think?

if you think you were wrongly charged go to bank and complain not online. i am in nigeria next week. i wont leave here with more than about 4 notes in my pocket that is what they are working towards in nigeria.  changes takes time to implement sir.

Take Care of What Counts and God Will Take Care of You

Today’s Scripture Reading:

1 Corinthians 1:26–29

Key Verse: :

1 Corinthians 1:26–27, 29

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty . . . that no flesh should glory in His presence.

When God says, “All this is yours,” do not get frustrated because you do not have it. Go and possess it. How? You simply walk in the kingdom.

This means that once you see and understand a kingdom principle, then start doing it. Live it out in your life, and watch God show up. The best thing about God’s Word is that it does not depend upon our educational level, personal abilities, or resources!
Lord Jesus, I know that I have let Your kingdom principles fall by the wayside in my life. Forgive me. I pick up Your kingdom ways, Jesus, and I trust You with the results.
Education is important in our culture, but in the kingdom, it is not what counts. I know many people in the kingdom who do not even have high school diplomas, yet they make more money than other people who earned master’s degrees or doctorates! This is nothing but God’s favor and grace in operation. God can use anyone who dares to believe Him and possess the inheritance.

Let God promote you and raise you up. You just walk in the kingdom.

Lord Jesus, I know that I have let Your kingdom principles fall by the wayside in my life. Forgive me. I pick up Your kingdom ways, Jesus, and I trust You with the results.

Believe me honestly, no matter how terrible a husband is; a woman has been specially made to make a marriage work and even change the hubby if only she can be humble and submissive without being foolish.

No matter how weak women are perceived, they're always stronger than men. They are specially created to help the weak men or the weakness in men. Such weakness could be anything ranging from drunkenness, bitterness etc.

I've seen women who helped their hubby overcome the problem of drunkenness not by nagging but with wisdom and love for their husbands. Most of our girls today, are always in haste to live their man to another one whom they're not even sure of what he would turn out to be after few months into marriage, then from that one, they will move to another and so it goes.
how do broken and battered women bring up girls that will help you? it is mostly women allowed to have the peace and decency of being women that end up raising great daughters.

let no ferminist tell me how successfull single parents go on to raise fine children. i am not talking about educated or beautiful young ladies here.

CAN: Putting Papal Ground Into Use
By PAUL OKAFOR (NAN)

The turnout was large and amazingly awesome as the Catholic faithful gathered fervently for a memorable occasion on an expansive land provided by the FCT Administration at Kubwa.

The late Pope John Paul II, visiting Nigeria in 1998, had been billed to celebrate an open Mass on the ground, dubbed the Papal Ground.

The ground was later given to the Catholic Church after the papal visit.

But other Churches under the umbrella of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), FCT chapter, asked the administration for land as an association.

Although such a request may not have been fully met by the authorities, the fact that the Deeper Life Bible Church ended its FCT crusade on April 3 on the ground has, for the first time, demonstrated that CAN is part owner of the facility.

The request led to the sharing of the Papal Ground into two — one part exclusively for the Catholic Church and the other for CAN.

However, over the years, only the Catholic Church has put its own part of the land into use.
The altar, which the late Pope used for celebrating the Mass during his visit, has been expanded and renovated.

A few structures, including a house for priests, has also been erected.

Catholic faithful have elevated the ground to a quasi parish where Mass is said regularly, while virtually all other activities of a full-fledged parish take place there.

Only the part belonging to the Catholic Church has been cared for and kept clean with trees planted and maintained.

However, this section caters to needs of different church organisations which hold programmes there.
In the past, CAN members have had to organise their programmes in the section owned by the Catholic Church, leaving the other part bushy and unattended.

Observers were, therefore, stunned when Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the leader of the Deeper Life Bible Church, preached to the faithful from March 26 to March 27 from the CAN section of the ground.
Putting that section into use has made a difference, as it marked the first time CAN members would use their portion of the ground instead of relying on the Catholic Church section, the observers say.
Preparatory to the crusade, the bushy CAN section was cleared by the Deeper Life.

One of the crusade worshippers, Ogeh Ude, lauded the effort of both the Catholic Church and the Deeper Life for making the entire ground usable.

According to him, the entire land provides enough space for big crusades within the FCT.
“The venue is very convenient. Everybody is properly accommodated and we have the Catholic part of the premises where there are well planted trees under which we park our cars.

“I wish they could develop the place further so that other programmes by the various denominations of the Church can take place there,’’ she said.

Another worshipper, David Ogunlade, said: “I hope CAN will not allow the place to be overgrown by weeds again.

“Now that it has been opened, let other members of CAN continue to organise more events and develop the place so that God’s blessings will continue to flow,’’ he said.

Mrs. Alice Udom, a trader who sold beverages and other items during the crusade, noted that the organisers did not charge her and other traders any money for selling their wares.

According to her, “whenever such crusades are organised traders usually pay some money for selling at such venues but here there is nothing like that.

“This is the first time I have received such a wonderful treatment and we are all happy.
“I believe it is because this is the Papal Ground. You know the Catholics are more or less the landlord here and they ‘no de too put money for their things’.

“I am a member of the Living Faith Church but each time we have big programmes I pay for the space I use for selling, though I am a member,’’ she said.

Rev. Fr. Willy Ojukwu, the current Chairman of the FCT chapter of CAN, says the association will soon start to develop the land.

“We agreed to organise a fundraising ceremony towards developing the place.

“We intend to construct our secretariat there and other structures, including a guest house and a worship ground, ’’he says.

It is Ojukwu’s belief that CAN members will be glad if the land is developed as it will provide a spacious worship ground for them.

Besides, the ground can host other programmes.

Christians say that if this done, and urgently too, winning more souls for Jesus Christ will be a less arduous task in the evangelism crusade.

CelebritiesRe: Liz Benson Re-marries Atlast by JJYOU: 11:04am On Apr 30, 2009
The Lord seem to be smiling on the widows in the Nollywood industry as screen goddess, Elizabeth Benson a.k.a Liz Benson 45, tied the knots years after being a widow with Bishop Great Ameye of Freedon Family Assembly International Church.

A mother of three (Richard, Roseline and Lilian), Liz lost her husband (Etim Gabriel Samuel) barely six years into their marriage. Though she had been linked with many men, none of the relationships led to the altar as this.

The registry wedding took place secretly at Area 10 Secretariat of Abuja Municipal Council (AMAC)on Wednesday April 8 2009, had friends and families in attendance.
Her husband, Great Ameye, we gather is a minister with Freedom Family Assembly International Church, Jesse, Delta State. Gist has it that the 49 year-old man is a widower who allegedly met our sweet Lizzy in the course of doing God's work. Their relationship has however moved from friendship to the altar and now man and wife.

Fully out of the widowhood circle, Liz Benson begins a new walk in the married life again.

Here at eNowNow.com, we say congratulations to Liz Benson for having waited this long and finally taking this bold step. We pray for a blissful marriage with lots of children (that is if the couple decide oh!)
tks ma'am. congratulations sister liz but na 45 years old this my sister really be?.

will she settle in jesse or is the church going to relocate them now?

Hello all,

Just thought to revisit the forum after a long vacation. Hope you're all doing great.

__________________

@Kunleoshob,

You know it is quite unfair to use Scripture in the manner you have often done. In the first place, it is dishonest to teach anyone that "our lord Jesus never taught tithing" - for we know He actually did, among other things (Matt. 23:23, et al).

Second, while you're accusing others of twisting Scripture by often quoting Jeremiah 8:8-10, are you not doing the very same thing by inserting and twisting Romans 16:17-18? In quoting verse 17 of Romans 16, you inserted "[paul, the other apostles and our lord Jesus never taught tithing]", just so you could dribble in your own unfair dealing into that text. You have done the same thing you quoted from Jeremiah 8:8, for you have "twisted it by writing lies" into Romans 16:17, in as much as you cannot assert that "our lord Jesus never taught tithes" (unless you're deliberately ignoring the fact that He did so in Matt. 23:23). It is quite unwholesome to be condeming others and yet doing the same thing that you condemn.

Third, let us understand clearly that Galatians 5:4 has nothing to do with tithing. Not in a single verse does Scripture present tithing as a matter of "justification", and to often pander that verse about as reason to condemn tithes is dishonest. The verse simply addresses the idea that people are seeking to be justified by the Law; it does not teach that tithing was ever given to justify anybody - whether in the OT or NT. I don't know how many people you have come across who are tithing because they are seeking to be JUSTIFIED by their tithes. How many such people have you come across? We know that there are many people who tithe, and yet they have never done so on the basis of trying to be "justified" by tithing! I'm referring to your previous posts here and here. In part, you have argued that:

Quite to the contrary, you magically dribbled in those ideas, and you're sadly wrong on both premises. There's not a single verse that teaches that people who tithe were placing themselves under a devourer's curse - it is quite the opposite, for it is the anti-tither or one who did not tithe that were exposing themselves to the devourer (check it for yourself - Malachi 3:10-12). Further, tithing did not cut anyone away from the grace of Christ, and to insist that it does so is to teach the same fallacy that Jeremiah 8:8 condemns, as you have severally quoted.

It is not Christ-like to do the same thing for which you condemn other people in the mistaken idea that they are wrong and you are right, especially when your distortion is unarguable.
hello my dear sister. i trust you are well. it saddens me to see kunle insult the church and pastors the way he does. we are all free to rant and rave on NL but i know humility and respect for others is a christian virtue.

i suspect he is a very young person so i keep him in my prayers.

sadly the case is now the reverse as i see most of our people who got papers this way now being used and dumbed by others.  history has a way of repeating itself.

if you think he doesnt know her you would be wrong. he is caught between 2 people he loves. be the lifeline for him and he owes you a favour. learn to keep your eye on the main person that brought you into the family and not the surplus to requirement sister. they are distractions. you have them in every family.

you determine how much i charge you for this.

Precisely why i asked the relationship of the siblings. It's easier but only by a small margin if he and the sister are not that close.
i dont know why some young women dont smell danger. if this woman know how many marriages collapse in the first year she will be very very carefull.

Thanks for the advice. Initially when I met her I tried to be friendly even as we are very different people but now I know we can never be friends however I don't want us to be enemies for the sake of her brother who loves her a lot. I'm not desperate for marriage and he knows and I don't try to take the attention from her (even though quite honestly it can be very easy by mere standing beside her). I have ignored every single thing she's done to me except the last one and I don't even discuss it with my family or friends cos I don't want it to escalate.

At the end of the day we'll be married and she will have to live with it.
i will caution you thread very carefully. my mrs say dont fight battles you will never win. the way you fight this lady will tell her family something about you. especially the older ones. you dont want to join any family fighting your way in. she is his sister never forget that.

can someone paste the shapey and her inlaws thread here for this lady to read please. that is a classic of how seemingly small matters go out of young people countrol without them knowing the way out.

there are land mines in every family. thread very carefully because you are most vulnerable when you come in newly especially when you are based in nigeria. you dont want to start a family life fighting. it will drain your energy and shift your focus. there are more wahala ahead so save your energy for them that is if the relationship mean anything to you.
