sammyscholar:This is the state college at Igueben. It is different from the now federal college of education Ekiadolor where the deceased worked. |
muykem:The school is now a federal institution and not under state control. Always check the facts before you criticize |
chris51:Will you fund the MSc and PhD for him ![]() |
highbee02:I am not a yoruba man sir. I am of the Igbo tribe |
Herbephe1:It will be in your best interest to pursue that MLS admission and do everything within your power to get it. It is better to finish MLS and start practicing even at 40 than to finish biochemistry now and join the pool of unemployed biochemistry graduates roaming about in the country! The job prospects in biochemistry is limited and virtually every university in Nigeria produce biochemistry graduates every year to compound the unemployment rate in the field. You'll be better off with MLS even in terms of knowledge! Professional medical courses impart more knowledge due to the way they are taught. |
And she might have been among the crew that despise genuine lovers and call them simps. After she eventually settled for a "bad guy", some few years of thorough beatings must have reset her brains. Confused lots! |
DHaran:What's the need to just "call one's self a graduate" And you even mentioned that someone recently burnt his certificate but forgot to reason that such burnt certificate must have been a product of going to the university for all the wrong reasons, including just "to call yourself a graduate"!Nigerians and their misplaced priorities sha. |
Don't waste your time and resources on MSc and PhD unless you're able to get employed as GA or any other position in the university despite your grade. Postgraduate degrees are expensive and there's no guarantee that you'll be employed as lecturer even after PhD. It costs a lot of money to conduct research and to publish it! Where would you be getting all the dollars to buy reagents and to publish in international journals As far as I'm concerned, MSc and PhD should be undertaken only by those who already have jobs or those who can readily get scholarship awards. Considering your grade, it'll be difficult for you to get scholarship. It'll even be better for you to apply for direct entry to a course you can readily apply to earn money after graduation. A word is enough for the wise! |
Drug abuse not only constitutes a burden on our healthcare system, it also facilitates crime thereby worsening security situation of the country. FG needs to expedite actions towards sanitizing our drug distribution system for effective regulation! |
saaphiere:So your aspiration in life is to be a so-called first lady How myopic! |
Going to the university to acquire certificate for just any available course with the deluded mindset that one day, they'll use the certificate. Many people have ended up in the grave without achieving anything with those certificates. I believe that the purpose of education should be to acquire knowledge that can be applied in solving societal problems, not to garner certificates that serve no use to the individual nor to the society. |
Chapman801:The thing is that standards should be raised for those courses. Technical and vocational centers should be created for those who can't gain admission into those sought-after courses. Youths should be made to start off on time after basic education to learn those graphic design, fashion and designing, mechanics, furniture works, piggery, fishery, etc etc It's better we have fewer university graduates who solve our problems than have many who contribute to the problems! |
TrippleEEE:You are the funny one here! You must be living in fool's paradise for you not to know that people seek university education mainly as a means to attain economic freedom. I'm very sure that the day university education officially ceases to be a means to economic freedom, that is the same day our university would become deserted. I wonder the use of any knowledge that cannot be applied to solve people's problems while achieving economic gains therefrom. If it is just acquiring basic knowledge, then it should end at basic(secondary) education level, so that people can start off on time to help themselves! We have a big problem in this country and that is the problem of graduating thousands of our youths in courses that have little or no use in solving our problems. Yet you don't see a problem in that I know you people are always quick to blame government for not creating jobs, but fail to reason that jobs would be created based on needs. Too many frustrated youths are roaming our streets already! We need to discourage people from studying certain courses. Instead of studying some courses, people should start off on time to learn a skill or trade after acquiring basic sec school education. Then after establishing themselves, they may decide to enrol for such courses just for the purpose of attaining higher education. |
I'll be happy to see these two get married Ozo shouldn't back off |
Zendinho:You Nigerians like to shy away from the truth sha. Some courses have no place in the 21st century economy and it is not only in Nijeria. Even Obasanjo once stated that fact! Some of these courses should be reserved for people who have already made wealth but just want to study for the sake of studying. They are not for people who want to work and create wealth from knowledge gained in school! |
Aileexa1:That is pure deception! There's no evidence that higher education gives one any edge in blue collar jobs. If anything, it wastes people's times and prevent them from starting on time to hustle! |
They'll not listen to this wise counsel because truth is a bitter pill. How I wish I had someone who discouraged me from going ahead to accept admission offer for one yeye science course. Or encouraged me to write JAMB while studying that course. Well, I'll soon graduate as a healthcare professional and start practicing on my own. My destiny can only be delayed and not denied. God knows that non of my children would study any yeye course in the university. |
And one bros somewhere is about to commit suicide due to lack of job many years after graduation, yet Nigerians cannot even help him secure a decent job for him to work and earn money! Oh God! Why did you create this unfair world! |
Ozo should put more pressure on Nengi. I Know she loves him but only waiting for him to sweep her off her feet! I'll be verrrrry happy to see them get married to shush all those bashing Ozo about her! In fact, I'll grace their wedding wherever it holds to chop their wedding jollof. Besides, it'll portray Ozo as a man who really knows and goes for what he wants. |

Righteousness89:We have been hearing this your sermon since time immemorial, yet that your much talked about rapture doesn't want to happen, neither does your jesus want to come. That threat of a rapture is stale already! My people have a saying that when we continue beating the same soundtrack, a time comes when it becomes stale and unpalatable to listen to. That's what this your message of rapture has become! Now, please allow us to watch our BBNaija in peace and drool over Nengi's curves because we are tired of waiting for rapture to happen...Amen |
Me sef I dey find Fulani babe wey fine like this to marry....I mean am |
I don't care about ASUU strike again. I'll rather watch Big Brethren Ghana than bother about ASUU strike! |
Are they not on strike with ASUU? If they are not on strike, then they should be paid their salaries immediately. But if they are on strike, they have no moral justification to demand for salaries. |

Mcslize:Honestly! Everybody readily claims to be AA even when they have not done the genotype test. |
Alas somebody is aligning with all what I have been saying on this subject matter! For crying out loud, secondary school education is enough to help anybody excel in skills acquisition and trading, so why waste 4-5years going to the university only to graduate and still go back to skills acquisition centers People should simply set their priorities right. My advice is that instead of accepting admission offers to study JUST ANY COURSE with the hope of going back after graduation to learn a skill or trade, people should start off on time after secondary school to learn those skills or trades and consolidate on them to avoid crying had I known. As far as I am concerned, university education should be reserved for training professionals in relevant fields that help solve specific human problems such as healthcare, engineering, law etc |

President Buhari should please ensure to deepen that culture of free and fair election started by Jonathan. Even if he has nothing else to offer, Nigerians will be grateful if he signs the electoral act into law and create that enabling environment for Nigerians to elect their leaders in a free and fair election. |
Effects of having cheap psychotropic drugs readily available. Our thoughtless leaders will never think up pragmatic ways of checking all these cases of unprovoked gruesome killings. Anambra state in particular has been in the news lately for barbaric acts like this but the government would never try to correlate all these incidence with the growing number of drugs-induced mental illnesses |
