AirtimersSport:You haven't been properly treated. They keep loading you with ACTs when it's obvious you need something better and more drastic. I would have recommended some drugs for you here but it's unethical for me to do that. Go to a good hospital or pharmacy and talk to a pharmacist. |
All these news will not deter me from contesting political offices anytime I want to! We all have our different levels in the spiritual realm and I know my level (Demi god) RIP to the dead |
CodeTemplar:Much ado about almighty Mechatronics! |
Vdsc:You're wrong and I still stand on my submission. If you talk about PhD in mechatronics, I might agree with you after confirming the PhD thesis and quality of work done by the student as authentic. If it's about all these copy and paste kind of PhD holders we have in all Whatnots, then it's rubbish to even begin drawing a comparison between them and the well rounded medical, dental and pharmacy graduates. |
Ganduje is taking this matter too far. Elections have come and gone and fortunately for him, him won! So, why not let Sanusi be He seems to forget that his tenure as governor ends in 2023 and that whatever actions he take against Sanusi can be corrected by the governor. |
His kind of death is what you get in a country where wicked selfish rulers have refused to take holistic steps towards revamping our health sector. They keep playing politics with our health sector, forgetting that they too can be victims. |
Are they building the wall of Jericho ![]() Haba! 40 billion fa |
Of course anybody can own a pharmacy but such pharmacy must be licensed by a qualified pharmacist who is also expected to be present at all times as superintendent pharmacist to control drug dispensing. Some people might think that this is Nigeria and so anybody can do anything. But when PCN seals your shop and all the drugs get expired, you'll count your losses and maybe then you'll realize that following the simple legal procedure doesn't hurt. |
frozen70:"Love" is NEVER equal!!! If you're waiting for equal love before getting married,,, you go wait taya! And in my unbiased opinion, I think the man should be the one to love his wife more because his has the responsibility to provide and protect the family. If the lady is the one who's more "in love", the man may abandon his responsibilities along the way leaving the woman to cater for the children. |
One thing I know for sure is that as someone from another tribe living in igboland, you'll live peacefully and sleep with both eyes closed because nobody is going to discriminate against you because you are not Igbo |
The lie detector in me says that this story is not true! Another fabrication from the mind of whoever fabricated it. |
0monnak0da:Sorry again bro! You're irredeemably lost! Continue in your delusion, it'll not change what's already accepted worldwide. I would have advised you to pick a typical pharmacy school curriculum to enlighten yourself, but it's obvious you don't want to learn! Again, your delusion changes nothing! Good night |
0monnak0da:Pharmacists have been involved in research and the following are just some of the notable discoveries and inventions by pharmacists : 1. Coca cola drink was invented by a pharmacist. 2. Morphine which is an opioid analgesic was also discovered by a pharmacist The list goes on Meanwhile, drug researches and development is a multidisciplinary exercise. At least, you have agreed with me that pharmacists are in charge of drug manufacturing which is an entirely different exercise from paper discovery... |
0monnak0da:Well, pharmacy is the only discipline where students are exposed to 4 solid years of extensive training on drug manufacturing in a department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology. It is the only discipline students learn how to make drugs into different dosage forms like tablets, capsules, powders, injectables, pastes, ointments, creams, syrups etc. Lest i forget, they start from raw materials sourcing in pharmacognosy, to synthesis and analysis in pharm chem, and then ensuring that the products meet microbiological standards in pharm microbiology! If the above is not training on drug manufacturing, then I wonder what is! You definitely don't know what's going on in pharmacy training, so I'll suggest you stop arguing on what you have no knowledge about. |
0monnak0da:Sorry!!! Keep entertaining us with your ignorance! Those who really know what's up would be laughing at you while reading your trashy posts here! I know you're totally ignorant of what it entails to make drug into a quality product, it's obvious from your posts! Continue in your delusion that after studying medicine ( abi BSc pharmacology sef), then pharmaceutical industries would employ you over a pharmacist with your 8 months lectures on BASIC pharmacology. You'll soon come to terms with reality! It's either you're a 100 level medical student who has not yet understood what's up or you're a pharmacology student who is seriously wishing he/she can change the globally established standard and become a pharmacist through the backdoor. |
FlordFlorez:Your ignorance is legendary! With what knowledge will a pharmacologist formulate drugs into different dosage forms When they have absolutely no knowledge of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology Nor a sound knowledge of pharmaceutical chemistry?? Not to talk of pharmacognosy Please, if you have no understanding of a topic, try and keep off instead of exposing your ignorance!!! |
Just tell us you have a gigolo, we'll understand! |
For crying out loud, why would Buhari delegate so much power to this Garba Shehu of a man Isn't it a sign that Buhari is not in control of this government??When some of us campaigned against Buhari during the election, some nairaland miscreants said we hated him. Isn't it obvious that the man should be relaxing in Daura at this age and not come anywhere near political power ![]() |
One problem with Nigerians is that they don't like being told the truth! They prefer you sugarcoat the reality for them so that they can continue to live in fool's Paradise. |
0monnak0da:You obviously haven't read the history of pharmacology. It is a 19th century course created mainly for research! |
itsme01:You'll soon realize that Edo is not Lagos... make Bini boys catch Osbomole first |
TollinsN:Make them into tablets, capsules what Pharmacologists have little or nothing to do with drugs formulation and compounding! Those are the core jobs of pharmacists! Pharmacology is a relatively young discipline which arose due to need to produce teachers and researchers of the course to the medical professionals. |
rinzylee:I am equal to the trouble I make |
If you must study Pharmacology, try and make up your mind on furthering your education up to PhD level so you can get a chance to be employed as a lecturer. Not after taking the shortcut you'll start constituting nuisance to the noble pharmacy profession! |
Pharmacology is the scientific study of how drugs work in a living system. Pharmacy is the science and art of formulating, compounding, packaging, distributing and dispensing of drugs. It also encompasses laws and regulations guiding use of drugs. Pharmacology is just one of the six departments that make up pharmacy. You must have drugs first before talking about how it works in the body! Pharmacy is a 5 year program for B.pharm and a 6year program for pharm.D After graduation, pharmacy graduates are licensed to practice as pharmacists. Pharmacology on the other hand is a 4year BSc program and after graduation, Pharmacology graduates are expected to proceed up to PhD before they can gain sufficient knowledge to research on and teach Pharmacology. Some pharmacists also toe that same path of obtaining PhD in Pharmacology and lecturing/researching on the subject of Pharmacology. In summary, a pharmacologist is NOT a pharmacist, so tell your sister to write JAMB until she gets admitted into pharmacy. No shortcuts to it! |
The energy he would have used to score a real goal was channeled into scoring a different kind of goal. All na goal sha |
Jman06:Well, I just discovered that the 2 ''trams shops " I alluded to in my post above have been sealed!!! Kudos to the men that did the job! Power of social media!!! |
LabDNA:What I care about is anything to regulate the sector properly! If PCN and PSN wants to fold their arms and watch things go awry, na them sabi. I'm leaving this country soon sha |
rinzylee:No one is spared! That is why the government needs to do more to regulate everyone. Those pharmacists are doing that because they know that the regulation is poor. Once regulation becomes stiffer, they'll have no choice than to conform. Meanwhile, in this country it takes so much discipline for a pharmacist not to join in the illegalities going on. Imagine suffering so much in school and studying all the dos and don'ts only to come out and see illiterates freely selling all the drugs you were taught are CONTROLLED drugs. You turn back an addict who comes to buy a drug, only for him to enter the next "chemist" store and buy the same drug. My brother, after having such experience for a few months, it is natural for some pharmacists to join, and when they do, it becomes bloodier! That is why government should step up regulation! |
LabDNA:Shut the hell up! Isn't it obvious that federal government has failed in terms of pharmaceutical regulations How many times in a year do PCN go on inspection They don't go often due to paucity of funds! So, it is better that states get involved in the regulation just like Lagos is doing. Since the federal government doesn't seem to understand the importance of pharmaceutical regulations on the overall healthcare delivery. |
Kudos to Dr Abayomi! That's a learned man that knows what's up. I wish other state governments can copy Lagos state in terms of healthcare regulation. Come to Edo state and see the mess going on there! One bros that sells trams to cultists in broad daylight right in front of big pharmacies and no one does anything about it. If you enter the shop sef, the kind drugs there ehn and the extremely poor storage condition, you'll wonder if anything like PCN exists in Edo state. It's too bad!!!! |
