I was making a point. (that most seem to have gotten) I didn't think I also needed to dissect the immigration statues to get my point across.
Europeans don't drive across borders for business abi?
Simple question; if Biafra is declared today will Nigerians stop shopping at Onitsha Main Market like the lady tried to insinuate? It's a simple yes or no I was only correcting your statement " People that live in border towns in US shop in Mexico n vice versa" that it is not true. No offense intended. Merry Christmas. |

People that live in border towns in US shop in Mexico n vice versa. Why should Nigeria n Biafra be any different
I'm not a Biafran agitator mind you. But your comment was kind of stupid. No offense Mexicans cannot go easily to the USA to shop because they will need a visa. However what a US citizen needs a just a passport and tourist card if it is just a short stay. |

One can even guess the shape of your head too You guessed wrong. I am Urhobo from delta state. Did what i write offend you? One more question, why do all the states in the North fall under Educationally less developed states ? I mean all the Northern states. And your region has been in power for 9 regimes Calls for serious concern. I think it should be written like this LIST OF EDUCATIONALLY LESS DEVELOPED STATES 1. Bayelsa state 2. Ebonyi State 3. Cross-rivers State 4. Rivers State 5. All states in all the geopolitical zones in Northern Nigeria |

Bedwyr: Matters arising
1.I beleive the OP's post, and I beleive he is telling the truth.
2.The truth is, there are a lot of people struggling to enter public universites...because they are cheap and because they are cheap.
3.ABU Medical school is oversubscribed....from time inmemmorial. (Infact, unless your parents worked for ABU , your chances of getting into ABU are low.).
4.Actually, ABU has been taking in more northern students of recent....tribalist, yes, but then again, the North has an acute doctor shortage relative to the South. So, understandable (even if I don't agree).
5.Niger state has a lot of academically brilliant students. (I have studied alongisde Nigerlites...and many of them do well at JAMB, and university. Just because it is a Northern state...besides the immediate past Etsu Nupe was a BIG TIME education promoter...Western Education. Anytime the guy was in the news, it was mostly promoting education.)
6. I won't be surprised if the number of Niger students was high...too high. See, ABU has a lot of criteria...and they can't take in everyone.
7. The real issue is that far too many Southerners
a) Think that Northeners are dull(not necessarily true) b) think that Northerners get into universty on lower scores..(true, and that is even in my opinion damaging to the North...if I was educaiton minister, I would raise cut off marks for the North, and watch as standards go up). c) One more thing...a Southerner is more likely to find it harder to get into university than Northerners because...there are FAR MORE SOUTHERNERS who are educated than Northerners...so in the numbers game, Southerners lose out more. d) the real issue is that because our economy is so badly run, there aren't enough technical jobs. Everyone has to go to uni to make it in life. And since private universites are too too expensive...public unis is it.
All in all, Goodness should read Anatomy, graduate with a first class...and then try to gain entry into UI's medical school...and train as a doctor...from 400 level. Or even shine in Anatomy because Lord knows we need more Anatomists in this country. Your point (c) should be a Southerner is more likely to find it harder to get into a NORTHERN university. There are more universities in Southern Nigeria. And the Northerners hardly go to the South for studies. |

MoIbrahim: Educationally Less Privilege States (ELPS):
If you come from any of these states and you passed your JAMB. Your chances of gaining admission is 65% (45% Merit + 20% ELPS). All things being equal.
These are states in which they are educationally less privileged. Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross-River, Ebonyi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kastina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.
Those making discriminatory and bigotic comments should use their brain, if present and functional, to note that the ELPS states are not 100% northern or muslim.
Interestingly, even those from southern and mostly Christian states enjoying this FG privilege shamelessly or ignorantly join to insult aboki. Na wa o! So it is safe to say that "All the states in the North fall under Educationally less developed states" then the people in that region needs to have their heads checked |

Actually i was excited when PMB came on board at first thinking a miracle will happen but i later found out that our leaders are all mad. Even the kaduna-Abuja rail line was completed by Goodluck. You keep shouting on TV and on news too that you are saving money on TSA, saved billions on this. Realized billions on that but you still need loans to function. It is just like a father that earns 200k but still needs to borrow 100k to pay children fees. This government spent hundreds on millions of Naira setting up air Nigeria but they have nothing to show for it. Or is it the Kaduna Dry port they also spent hundreds of millions to construct that is not also functions. Bunch of nitwits |

NGpatriot: Just imagine, they built Ajaokuta, but they abandoned and refused to build the rail line needed to transport raw materials to the plant, it's like building airport without a runway, this is how useless OBJ, Jona and past administrations are, they set us up to fail across the board.
Thanks to PMB, the rail line is alive after 30 years of abandonment. Ajaokuta steel company was built from 1979 it was finally abandoned in 1993. It is not still functional even up till now. Then for the rail line you are talking about even Obasanjo and Goodluck Built most of the rail network between warri-itakpe-ajaokuta. They had to construct a fly over in my town because of the project. Train passes under, cars pass on top. Even the warri-itakpe-ajaokuta line aint even functional now. They Did a test run and we didnt hear from them again. |

Coldie: This guy disowned Nigeria in his last fight.
When Andy Ruiz who is Mexican American entered d ring he played the anthems of his 2countries.
But this guy British Nigerian only played the anthem of Britain. Me as a Nigerian to me that is an insult to our country
What does that tell u, he has no loyalty or allegiance he is just after the money, anywhere that favours him he faces there The Mexicans hold their heritage so tight. Most Mexican kids born abroad still sound Mexican while speaking English . Ruiz Jr. Was born in the USA but still speaks English with a Mexican accent . its a cultural thing. Will you find an Igbo boy born to igbo parents speak English with an igbotic accent ? Or will you find a yoruba kid born abroad speak English with a YouTube accent?. Ruiz jnr represented mexico in the Olympic qualifiers. So he has fought for two countries. Main while the British boxer AJ has never represented Nigeria in any sport. So he doesn't fight for Nigeria. |
