PS: I'm sure there can be a case where the other parent has been un-involved in a child's life, if then, you might need to prove that. I don't know if there are cases where it has been successful though.

Technically you can do that. 450 is a good score. However, can you guarantee high ielts score for both of you? Which ielts scores did you base the 450 on?
Kaydee87:
IHello house, Congrats to the new ITA clinchers. May the remaining steps come with ease and land us in cannyland.
I will like to seek clarification and advice. I have my ECA ongoing, i was trying to get hubby to evaluate his MBA but getting result may slow things as i want us to prepare and write ielts together consider his person. I am thinking he doesn't evaluate certificate as it is just a 7 point difference and all things being equal i should have 450 without his wes. Your advice please

ECA received. Entered pool today with a lowly 423. Prepared for marathon lap as I wait for spouse's IELTS and ECA.

More on biometrics
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/nigeria/biometrics.html

Key takeaway. Those of us with online application (read eAPR) need a Biometrics Instruction Letter from IRCC.

So for those still stressing about the biometrics, wait for the letter.

damzy88:
How true is it that with a job offer one does not need a Proof of fund. Your thoughts?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 6:48pm On Aug 21, 2018
No idea to both.
I have read of someone on the sister thread who got a job through job bank, but don't know whether it is pre or post-ITA.
You can try it, but like noted earlier, research and get your CV done the Canadian way.
ijomaSN:
Please what is the success rate of getting a job through the jobbank?

Has anyone successfully gotten a Canadian job while still in the EE pool through the Jobbank?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 6:39pm On Aug 21, 2018
Good point, but surely the 1yr work permit will count towards Canadian work experience when trying to upgrade their jobs.
Personal choice sha. I see reason with the option.
Flaj:
The only advantage is the Canadian education and the fact that you are in Canada. A lot of the students i know that are already on their PGWP are applying for EE via PNP or FSW; or extending study permit. The jobs easily available to them are mostly part time and depending on the study period, they might not get more than a year of PGWP

Pls re-read the email BC sent to you or go to their website. You have the option to pay via bank transfer using GTB, Zenith or First Bank.
funshobabs:
Hello house. Plz is there any other way to pay for ilets aside raising bank draft and taking receipt to BC? I tried paying on line and money was refunded back into account after debiting.

I don't know if I can use IDP mod and pay online directly without having to visit anywhere.

Many thanks, Baraka de Sallah to all Moslems folks in d house.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 6:25pm On Aug 21, 2018
1. Extra 15 points for Canadian education on CRS.
2. After graduation, access to work permit so he can work while applying for EE. With job, no need for POF, extra 50 points on CRS.
3. With Canadian education, easier access to jobs.
4. Etc.

Flaj:
Okay. But Going abroad for that? undecided undecided undecided

Hi. Read vcole's post on this page 354.
Guitarlife:
Thank you for responding, but it seems I am not getting the point here.

Someone said they do not recognise a new license So If I renew now thats gonna be issued maybe later this year isnt the fact the license is a new one going to be an issue ?

Am not sure really but I think someone mentioned it is going to be.
I guess am not totally clear on this.

He might need to assess his B.Sc if his CRS score is not high enough. The 1yr PGD will only give him 90 points as a single against 128 for 2 or more certificates. Though he is going to get additional points for Canadian education.
Check here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html
sunvick:
Please just asking on behalf of a doubting THOMAS. Does someone with a PGD in Canadian Uni need an assessment againhuh Though the boy has a Nigerian BSc.

I told him he does not need an ECA for his PGD but he now switched to "I want to boost my points with BSc assessment". But me, I need that $230 he wants to waste.
His original #GMPC

Go back and choose the gckey option. The option you chose is for those already in Canada. Make sure you save all the log in details, questions and answers somewhere.

I'm thinking that it not that people are not getting PPR again. Rather they are not announcing it on the thread again.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 2:31pm On Aug 20, 2018
LOL.

Reading through old posts and saw this by vcole. Right from the first EE thread!
https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/493#57067259

"Major problem is that we do not like to read, we want easy fixes, quick answers, etc etc etc. It amazes me that an individual who intends to make a move as serious as relocating to another country and intends to utilize funds for this process cannot read every single info available on the said process. Anyway like they say "we are all different.......personal circumstances may not allow mr x or mrs y read....yadi yadi ya"
If we all on this thread take time to drop our posts when we hit a snag and find a solution and so on, there would be loads of info. Canadavisaforum has a lotta info mostly because its populated with Asians who freely and liberally share their experiences.
Bottom line, read, learn, share.
Asking questions repeatedly over issues that have already died and been buried is quite annoying. This thread is currently over 490 pages and yet my fellow naija bro or sis will still ask "how can i register for ielts......what is the wes timeline.....i have 2 degrees, which should i evaluate......etc etc etc" Simple questions that you can ask google and it will answer you. Wes and Iqas sef have provided explanations as regards the different statuses on your evaluation, IRCC has clearly explained what degree to evaluate. CRS tool, simple q&a gives your score estimate.......like really, why can't a prospective applicant just read. Okay, okay if all this fails, what happened to using the search bar"
