honeric01: So who helped the companies they are looking to employ them? Nigeria was never at anytime helping anybody to establish businesses, those who did did on their own so make we stop this "govt not helping language jor". In this same "govt not helping" country, people who have taste for challenge are making it and establishing businesses.. just imagine if everyone have this mindset of "govt not helping, so we won't start up biz" who then is going to employ?your level of realistic business info of this country is so limited. where do you want me to start. Dangote: started enjoying govt concessions since his stock fish days to cement age Atiku (intels); almost the owner of The whole free trade zones in this country otedola: at least diesel in 2006 rang a bell tompolo: Nigerian water ways JB: fedral and state govts ditto: atiku made Dana group: Obj made NEST oil,con oil, MRS just mention it etc etc etc the list is endless, i can give you minimum of 100 people that established big businesses climbing on govts back.that is how corruption in Nigeria pays off. as you dream of your entrepreneurship, know ye that your fingers will never touch any contract above one million naira on a level play ground which of course doesn't exist in Nigeria. the businesses you hear about esp the big ones don't just start. Pascal dozie can connect MTN with diamond bank better, same for the Tinubus, Adewale group the okoyes etc. the business doesn't just start, there is always someone that is placed high in Govt or company that shoots the catapult that make things happen. if you sincerely think you can wake up and establish a big successful business without swimming in Nepotism, then your case wont be different from the shop owners along Rumuola and okporo road who are getting one seventh of their business worth from Govt as compensation while those along woji road remain in peace because they know the governor. continue fantasizing, Naija is not always the way it seems. |
manny4life: There's no job security even if you worked in the Oil, Manufacturing, Retail, Entertainment or Hospitality industry. The ONLY security you can have is "ENTREPRENEURSHIP".I may not agree with you completely, the Nigerian business climate is not immune to poor Govt policies, a few policies here and there can send you packing without warning, considering the brain dead leaders we have such occurrences are pretty frequent. A billionaire like ibeto one of our biggest entrepreneurs never knew that between 2005 to 2007 he will be idling and drinking ogogoro in otolo Nnewi, thanks to Obasanjo's demetia. rightly put, every job cut is an enterprenuer that failed or about to fail or trying to survive. |
Monopoly at its best, Nigerians will never learn |
rhymz: @bigboyAnd you expect products of trap universities to understand where you are driving at? save urself the stress most Nigerians need their brains checked. the population is so much for so many m0r0ns to exist therein |
Ecalos: Hey my duty is not to convince you or any other person for that matter but just because the Nigerian culture is a certain way does not mean that everyone chooses to think and adopt every Nigerian culture- good and bad. Some people have the common sense to adopt the good parts of the culture and weed out the parts that are not so good or healthy. Life experiences teaches some people to change the way they think. You cannot use one real life example to make a general conclusion about an entire populace. Maybe all the people you have seen unfortunately have that mentality but what I have seen are people who belong to the spectrum of individuals with a more refined mode of thinking. If a woman starts having issues with loyalty because she is fortunate to pay the bills around the house then a big SHAME on her. Its more of a personality issue than a cultural issue in my own personal opinion and yes society may have shaped her mode of thinking but if she is one with a broad horizon who is looking to change for the better then she will do well to change the way she thinks and work on her personality.**sneezes** ABIA!!!!! is it not ironical to invoke the bold parts of your post on the same tribe that has crucified 10% of their populace as outcasts in lieu of an archaic tradition that transcends beyond recognizable generations, where modernization and enlightenment couldn't come to their rescue. yet, you imply that the ori-aku mentality has automatically become a broken jinx and you want me to take you serious? |
sarutobie: I think Glo is the best for BIS(provided u stay in an area were their coverage is available)..Mtn is becoming too erratic these days..DON'T ever venture in Airtel!!.ur dataplan will get exhausted in as little as 2 weeks!(Even without downloading anything)..I know this bcus I have used the 3 netwrks..please don't make me throw up, in ph Glo is not a network. GLO will take 6 to 7 minutes for every 500 naira recharge due to network wahala, it will call without caller tune, will pick when you are not calling, can even call yourself damn!! glo is useless. one silly 04040 and another one will be calling you like it knows you from somewhere, text messages every second disturbing subscribers. the time Adenuga spends on sending me useless text messages could improve his network double. Glo is sensitive to rain, if it showers say bye bye to calls, does that Nons@ns@ connect to the internet? i doubt. intranet i guess ok, the other day they gave me a 25mb bonus on recharge and i was like Damn!! bonus to connect to what? when i cant even make a call. |
tunapawizzy: I am so anti- GEJ but This seems to me like a good move...or am I missing something. Embrace made in nigeria goods. Strengthen local producers so they can expand operations n generate more employment for our people. More tax income for government too. A lot of indirect jobs provided..@ least if local cement factory expand its multiplier effect on d economy is huge.which is the best option A throw in a ban for imported cement because your campaign sponsor is controlling the market who already has an unbeatable structure on ground. by saying unbeatable it means that unless you are competing as the 5th richest man in the world, you cannot rival dangote's grasp on the market, and he who controls the market fixes the price. the above spells nothing but "MONOPOLY" that will translate to high price. OR B set up a competent price regulatory agency who fixes price apar with cost of production, then plots a graph of demand versus local production before the ban, that way, the price remains fair and demand is checked. what about if only Govt has the right to import to check the excesses of the manufacturers? obviously hiou yang was right after all, the reasons Nigerians have not revolted is because majority don't even know where their problem is coming from. obviously, you don't know why you buy a 14kg propane (cooking gas) for 5k when your country flares off 2.5billion dollars worth annually, poor Nigerians!! |
tinkinjo: From what has so far transpired, I cannot help but acknowledge Otedola as a very smart guy.it takes a wise dude to control the kind of cash otedola has, dont forget that |
patriot2:blowing an oil pipeline doesn't cost life? tell me its a mistake or you are typing from the morgue.I don't know if you are aware but the mean of protest of MEND was to blow up pipelines which were on their ancestral lands.another lie fabricated by a m0r0n in beef's lineage. Afremo was attacked by mend, Afremo platform/manifold was off the coast of forcados offshore, whose "Ancestral land" is forcados offshore? which family lineage can lay claim to that area as their "Ancestral land" like you ignorantly claimed? had it not been for onshore/offshore dichotomy, not even state govts could claim that area let alone a chimp running lose. what do you know about oil pipelines? have you seen one in your life time? can you mention three that you know and coordinates to locate them? are you ok? did you just die? have you ever heard that mend bombed a pipeline with an excavator? don't you know that pipelines are buried under the ground? how did mend expose and bomb them? have you witnessed any mend attack? do you think they attack exposed pipelines in the bush? they attack production facilities, river crossings and junction manifolds and yes!! people work there. i don't expect any better from you if and only if you had died in one of those attacks then i wont have any cause to be writing this. don't think that calling me a fool will change anything about your deplorable ignorant situation. drop your facts let me drop mine, dats how human beings argue, oh!! i forgot you are a chimp. i will quote every n0nsens@ you wrote above to expose your ignorance a little. |
patriot2: Henri Okah did a terrorist act and therefore he was rejected by the larger MEND organisation. Can you tell me how many innocent souls MEND killed ? And can you tell me if they didn't apologize for it and if they didn't reject the killers ? So compare that to boko haram which kills christians in churches on a daily bases and boasts of doing so. boko haram keeps saying it will kill more. And what exactly are they killing all these innocent people for ? the text written on toilet paper by a 7th century i.diot named moh-the-ham-hed.And somebody is actually paying your school fees? Damn!!! Nigerian parents have suffered. who are the larger MEND organization you claimed? do you have their organogram? what credible evidence do you have to prove that MEND was fictionalized with different leadership and different goals? who was Henry okah in mend? what evidence do you have to prove that Henry okah was relegated to a lesser MEND? i am glad you admitted in red that MEND committed a terrorist act, that is good enough for me. when you used "compare" in your post, what do you mean? re you subtly referring to degrees of murder? if you really asked the other question in bold how many innocent people that died, then i don't know what to say to you. |
Konnektions146: 1.Abujacalabar has lost its glory but for peeps in ph and lagos, calabar is still an icon, i think Abj uyo calabar enugu is perfect |
ebamma: icc my foot, the time george bush government invaded iraq and after afghanistan did the put america on watch or indict george bush for war crimes?,or is icc afraid of america or what?.what do you stand to lose even if the whole PDP goes to jail? ICC should extend their tentacles to jonathan's bedroom. Good riddance |
you need medical attention! M sure u r gay...cuz a real man wud never see dat as being shameful! Lizard brain!
*forgiven* you will understand better on your 16th birthday |
Dude there is nothing archaic about what he said. We all know that even now many men still look down on women who are "too forward", "too loose" or "too friendly". Any woman worth her salt better learn to balance things out lest she become a victim of her own charity.
how old are you again? |
weselove: Good day all, shoot ur boss dats wot people are doing lately better still sow your whole 1 month salary to a willing pastor *joking* |
gbadexy: Leave the president out of this, much as I criticize his administration, this is clearly corruption from the NNPC.u talk like a kid, do you think any soul in NNPC's top management can cough without the president's approval? |
ifihearam: Inasmuch as I respect bakare for his concrete criticisms,he is way too far taking GEJ case seriously,I wonder when last he preached on the word of God other than condeming and tongue lashing the person of GEJ. He should be ashamed to be patbering with the monster buhari and concentrate more on the expansion of his church to atleast have another branch.and how far has GEJ taken his wickedness on the Nigerian people if i may ask? how many people will have to die in our teaching hospitals before the Government will utilize their budgets to procure dialysis machine that will cost less than 5 million naira? how many more youths will have to join BH because the Govt couldn't guarantee their livelihood? how many pensioners need to commit suicide cos the Govt custodians have embezzled their pension funds? how many people will have to die on our roads because someone misappropriated FERMA's budget? we can go on and on and on. pdp has brought nothing but evil on the land through corruption. the biggest irony is that even the victims are so unwise that they wish to cut that evil tree (PDP) some slack. After going through 25million applications for 3 job vacancies, a white director in a consulting firm asked; "why has the jobless graduates in this country not staged a protest/revolution"? i quickly answered " because they are too myopic to realize that the reason they are jobless is Govt's ineptitude and corruption" guess i spoke for your likes too. because i don't know why a sane being will cut a govt that has brought zero social welfare, pain and death to its citizens any slack. Ride on Bakare, jona deserves no mercy |
emmydeep: where were u and bakare when the northerners where rulling ? The pastor just came bak from Iran where he was given some billions to distabilize the gudluck government and cause havoc within christians. How many times has he prayd 4d govt? Hes a fakeimagine the brain that conceived this; |
boomssey: .same here 2 but am so suprised getin dis frm a guy "sex after marriage",wow.a guy lik u is rear.yea!! they are the rare rap!sts in our society |
villybest: Friends, i just got keliods on my body,,recommend medication for ..pls.why don't you cut off the damn thing!! *joking* kenalog injection and kenacomb cream will help but very painful |
Kelvin172: I personally cant do it.For a man, it is realistic but for a woman it sounds childish, if you are on a job of 10m annually and you have young and eligible bachelors on the same or higher pay grade as colleagues, where exactly will you be looking at? school teachers? some females posters here don't think. it is understandable when a woman is on a "dry job" and she needs financial liberation through dating and marriage, it might be "financially inappropriate" to choose a colleague who is also on a "dry job" too. if you are on a good job as a woman, you now go and date a farmer or school teacher to prove what point exactly? |
Henry120: @shymexx you are wrong. Like black baron said, that particular APC is not done yet. The army and the ekiti brothers are still working on it. The nigerian army apc is a non-prototype apc, which can be deployed at this very moment. Like beaf said....oya, let us invade cameroun, sharpaly!!!with a population of over 167million, you find it adventurous to invade a microscopic Cameroon? where is your shame? by the way, how better are you faring with the boko haram that invaded you? your Jingoism is nauseating |
dolpaz: What is RRP?? abeg carry us along oooRecommended Retail Price |
2buff: Day by day I am disgusted by what I see on here which apparently has become "the norm" in that society.commit suicide please!!! Nigeria is over populated |
Eko Ile: The technology is available and all over the place in Lagos. Lagos is not a cave in Afghanistan.please where in Lagos can you find the technology to determine the paternity of a foetus? |
Fhemmmy: You all refused to see what is behind all these . . .its called roping in American's interest to soften on Invasion agenda fueled by the BH menace, is it Gonna be another Afren by Rilwanu lukman packaged from london as African heritage? well, nothing to bother by head with so long as it has American's tag on it, they are welcomed, till M0r0nic Beaf and his Niger delta smoke heads learn how to drill their oil before branding everyone parasites on a resource they know nothing about how it makes it to the market. |
Beaf: I will put it in stark context for the blind.ordinary Reno omokri AKA beaf is equally ranting? eheee? nawaa for Naija, even mosquito dey threaten sheltox. you think Jonathan will register a militant group that will absorb you as their spoke's person abi? lool after this tenure you and your bloody SS miscreants should relocate to the creek and face bunkery and kidnapping squarely |
gbadexy: @ philips,i seriously doubt the bold part |
gbadexy: Sentiments and beef aside, Lagos state is setting standards that other states should emulate.compelled by law is different from having the capacity to take the responsibilities. the law "compels" you to insure your vehicle, you do third if not fifth party that defeats the real aim of the insurance in the first place(no claims or benefits attached). now, how did the compelling law provide the means for a comprehensive insurance cover? think!! think!! think!! my friend |
Jungleprince1: Fashola should be declare president, federal republic of nigeria. He is the only true leader we have in nigeriadid you task your brain on the subject matter before wearing your coat of sycophancy? which technology in Lagos state will prove the paternity of a fetus for the mother to be entitled to "ANTE NATAL" support? are you saying that any girl that takes in for any man can legally go about demanding for fetus and child support from whom ever slept with her in the past because Lagos state law makers refused to apply common sense? what is the academic qualification for law makers again? |
Demdem: Gitto isnt handling the east-west road nau. is it not setracoGitto is doing most of the flyovers and pass bridges |

It would have been a very different case if they had registered as a theology University or some ascetic academy so everyone knows that is what is expected when you go there. Not decieve people into believing you that you run a University only for you to start slipping in strict religious doctrines on everyone without respecting anyone's private beliefs or right to believe in what they want. There are church run Universities abroad they don't make their church doctrines binding on anyone neither are their VCs or Deans neccessarily pastors, evangelists and the likes, convenant is no theology school so why run it like one and make adult students miserable. Do you know how that hinders effectiveness in thought progress and social skills? Come on!
