Only Ambode dreamt of that plan and would have finished it in 4yrs if they didn’t frustrate him out This is UNtrue. Tinubu conceived it. Fashiola started it and pursued it vigorously. The number one thing I had against Ambode was that he did little or nothing for this project. Thank God Sanwo-Olu revived it and pursued it the way Fashola did. If Akinwunmi "Otodogbame" Ambode had won a second term, there'd be no rail today. |

nedu666: From onochie story, it is a rented accommodation not her private house. If your sister and husband were not paying the rent despite having jobs, why were you paying the rent for house you are not leaving in. Your sister can also claim that since you don't live there, she and her husband pays the rent. Because it's her NAME on the rent papers and she doesn't want to lose an apartment she likes and spent time furnishing? |

pocohantas: The first one is quite common. At least to me. It is worse if I have to deal with AC mixed with fuel smell or those terrible air freshners. Many times I have pleaded with Uber drivers to put off the AC and take the glasses down lest I vomit my intestines. Strangely it doesn't happen when I am driving. Only when I am a passenger. There is a drug that was recommended for me, but I can't remember the name now.
What works for me is not to take any meal before a road trip. I don't eat in transit too. I will take water only.
I dread long road trips. Bitter kola has also worked for me. The only thing that I've ingested for it that has worked yet, in fact. But closing my eyes and keeping them shut once I sense it's about to start remains the most effective approach for me yet. |

omooba969: You specifically mentioned that terrorists are almost overrunning those francophone countries and I replied that they're just common criminals (bandits) with financial backers - not terrorists as we know it.
Going by their modus operandi, there's no ideology per say but are in those countries to pillage and loot for their backers of which I wouldn't rule out rogue countries like France. So France (and the US, I guess) are likely behind Islamic State, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and other Jihadi terrorist groups who are running roughshod over the Sahel and are almost overrunning the like of Mali and Burkina Faso. *yawn* |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Without France, There’d Be No Mali, Burkina Faso And Niger, Macron Boasts by JuanDeDios: 4:58pm On Sep 01, 2023 |
omooba969: You obviously have no idea of what's happening as per the role/assignment of these terrorist organisations. The terrorists are common criminals with powerful financial backers, they pillage and loot the resources of the areas under their control, thereby enriching their financial backers.
I wouldn't rule out the involvement of rogue countries as well. Those terrorists being fought are probably those with contrary agenda.
African politics cum economic power-play is ruthless. Not sure what what you've written have to do with what I said - that the sacking of democratic governments and France in Burkina Faso and Mali have left those countries worse off as far as Jihadi terrorists go. |

anonymous1759: Those monarchs should be removed from the list . Gulf countries practice monarchy , Europe and Asian. Stop making it seems like monarchy is bad in Africa but good in other nations . Letsie III of Lesotho should be removed from the list - since he's a constitutional monarch like the King of England. Mswati III and Mohammed VI should be on the list since they're absolute rulers. |
