Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Actually Flopped In My Micro Teaching Interview by Juliearth(f): 3:44pm On Aug 19, 2023
dboY1123:
My previous post about a big school that called me for an Interview, Well I actually went there, did my test and when I was asked to come in for Micro Teaching where I was faced with Staff of the school and maybe the principal, I flopped and panicked heavily.

The fear was well written all over my face and I was just saying rubbish despite choosing to teach "Matter" as my topic. Immediately I came in and they asked for my name and few other questions before the micro teaching, my voice was already shaking as if I have never taught before in my life(they noticed and told me to calm down).

Although I am an introvert, I hardly face audience talk more of strangers and the quest to ensure that I performed, those things enveloped/swallowed me completely. I have never taught in such a big school before, I think my qualification was what made them approach me in the first place.

One of the staff kept throwing questions at me, I mean confusing questions just to know my depth of knowledge in the particular topic, and guess what? I flopped totally and became disorganized. But luckily, there was a man among the panel who gave me the option of coming back and prove myself that I am a qualified teacher as stated in my CV or I should take another topic I'm more comfortable with. So, I opted to leave and come back so I can regain my confidence.

Now, I have been given enough time to go and make research and convince them on Monday.
How do I conquer that fear and what are the things they look so I can prepare hard.
Thank you.
What topic would you like to teach? If it's something I can demystify, I would break it down for you here using an activity-base approach.

Good Morning All

I got my dream job in a financial institution, I will be resuming on Monday.

From your experience, kindly share the things I must and must not do in a professional setting.

NB: This is my first professional job hence the reason for the question.

Exactly. Talking about a shift in paradigm.

I think the possibility of chopping life still exists, but people just prefer to make smart money moves as the financial crunch is crunching harder.

In other words, it's a fault that her in-law is making such advances at her?

That was how one lecturer taught me that roasting, baking and deep frying food leads to the formation of acrylamides, a substance that can negatively impact the nervous system and also a known/suspected carcinogen. Choose your poison wisely. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hello everyone.

I've been celibate for 10 months. Till I had sex couple days ago.

Before that time, I saw my self as God's favorite.

But now I just feel like God and I had a quarrel.
It hurts so bad, cause it's now like I don't know how to go to him.

A week now I've not said my night or morning prayers.

Has God left me? Can we still be close?
Have I don't something unpardonable.
That is the devil playing tricks on you yo make you feel unworthy of God's love. Ignore that feeling. God's grace is sufficient.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Quit My 120k Teaching Job In A Private School For Government Teaching J by Juliearth(f): 6:14pm On Aug 06, 2023
Soundminded:
Good day my friends
Please advise me, I recently got a government teaching slot in a primary school, where I would probably earn 70k for a start ,but where I work presently in a private school where I teach government I earn 100k as basic salary and private lessons give me 40k monthly

Should I quit the private school for a government school? For job security
As much as the private job may seem mouth-watering, I would advise you to Port to the new offer. Job security, flexibility of work schedule, the possibility of doubling your hustle and so on are my reasons for thinking in this line. Moreover, you can still maintain connect in the private school and still get private lessons. This however, boils down to your rapport with your colleagues

All the best!

I deal mainly on dried cat fishes and fresh ones for pepersoup. The locally bred ones is still safer because it won't have to undergo some kind of preservation processes which is dangerous to our health
Are the dried ones not roasted initially? Roasted foods are not so save, you know. The vitamins and food they ate while alive is another risk factor. Animal foods are loaded with preservatives and chemicals that are quite harmful to the human body.

Imported fishes are risky, the method of preservation are carcinogenic . We don't do them in our house.
Same with the locally bred ones.

Croaker fish and catfish is farmed here in Nigeria. Infact, catfish are sold life. So they're fresh.

I'm talking about fishes that are imported and stored in cold rooms.
Those aren't any better. Have you thought about the amount of chemicals these fish-pond-bred catfish are laced with? Their food, vaccine and fattening vitamins are very much laced either toxins. Smoked catfish aren't better because smoking is not a healthy choice for humans.

As u can see,due to the biting inflation and high cost of meats in Abuja and it environs.

Three of us decided to go to Keffi this morning to buy a cow worth 320k and we shared it. At least this will see us through the year end.

Below are the pictures.
Do you have other alternatives to alternate with this? I doubt if this can see you through the year.

In the news, governments, movies, entertainments, etc it's all about these Ufos.

I Perceive this could be the Strong Delusion that will be used to explain the sudden Disappearance of people all over the World.

Listen Folks, if you you begin to hear and see in the news that millions of people have vanished all over the world, it is not UFos. It is the RAPTURE.

The signs are Everywhere. JESUS CHRIST is coming. Repent from your sins, Believe on JESUS Christ and live in preparation for his coming.
There will be no special announcements. It will be Suddenly.

Why do uou people in the south buy foodstuff like almajari. Take real money to the market. Stick the house n fried with lots. Cook twice in a month n enjoy a living life not struggling to survive. You lot ain't saving money buying petty like this. In the north all thses cost less than 2500. That meat is 400 that tomatoes is like 100 and that fish looks unhealthy. Well eat healthy and work harder to earn money to buy more.
I agree with you, cooking in bulk is a money saver. However, where in the North can one buy that meat for 400 naira?

if you want to sleep peacefully like a child, go to a pharmacist and buy supper appetite drug. take it around 5 or 6pm in the evening so that before 10pm the drug is already effective. you will sleep like a kid. the only thing is that it will make you eat a lot of food
That drug is an appetite booster and it is used by those who wish to gain weight. It will make you sleep and improve your appetite, but then again, you will suffer from severe water retention and oedema. Pity your liver and avoid this drug.

DECENTBWOY:
Good morning nairalanders, I know its too early to post this but this issue has been troubling me for a while now.
I can't sleep, even if i eventually do, i can't stay asleep, for example if i sleep by 2am, i will wake up by 4am and thats it for that night.
It has been going on for months now, and i hardly sleep in the afternoon too..
If you observe when i made this post, I slept around 3am because today is my birthday, i was answering calls and chats from well wishers, now i am up again around 5, thats why i made this post, i am fed up...

Please can you guys suggest a very strong sleeping tablet for me? I really need to sleep and stay asleep, i mean lock everywhere up, eat, take the tablet and sleep a very deep sleep, a kind of sleep that i will not know what is happening around...

Please help a brother, i don even begin de slim like who them de squeeze blood commut for body....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUMBLE SELF BTW...
Happy belated birthday to you.

I can relate with this ordeal of yours. I have suffered from it. I won't advise you to take drugs to fix it. First you have to find out why you suffer from this condition. Do you suffer from anxiety disorder? Like do you think and over think things and get anxious for nothing? Is something troubling your mindhuh? Do you suffer from any form of addiction, even coffee? Are you suffereing from any form of trauma/ptsd? The solution to your problem lies in you discovering why you lose sleep in the first place.

As a contingency plan, you should consider taking warm milk before bed or a mouthful of original honey. Exercise in the evenings before bed. Shower after exercising, before bedtime, switch off your phone and keep it away fro you. Try to clear your mind of all thoughts and travel to your happy place. Dwell there until morning... All the best.
