I really feel pained about this. Facts have been established that the account holder is into illegitimate business and earned the money through that means. Why can't they take action? These banks be steady making the fight against scammers difficult.

THE GIST.

I have a residential neighbor. He is in his 40's while I am in my 30's. He lives upstairs, while I live downstairs. He is a banker, divorced with his first, now ex wife with two children and became single again for a long time. From our conversation, his first marriage failed due to immaturity from both side. It became very difficult for him to re-marry because he wanted a help mate. A career / business / market wise woman that will help and build his life.

He told me the problem he is facing today was as a result of his first marriage, and the ease in his life will be determine by his next marriage. He told me he will not settle for the less and I believed him.

He had a lot of conversation with me about his life, although I never told him about myself. I just gave him few advice and prayed for him not to make another bombshel of a mistake.

Someone recommend for him a very young girl which he seem to like. Paid her dowry - traditional marriage in a hurry and brought her home as married couple.

To him, he has caught a fresh young fish.

When this young woman came, he was so curious about me which I seem to understand. One day I told her not to worry if I don't give her attention or always converse with her the way she want. I made her understand I don't speak much in person unless it is very important. I did this just to put her at ease.

THE PROBLEM

The problem right now, my neighbor is having serious headache. I mean extreme headache because the girl he married is still behaving like a child.

He just realize that he has made another huge bombshell. When he first brought her home after the dowry, I myself was secretly concern because the girl was just too small and immature for him. I mean too young to be his daughter age mate.

Yesterday he was shouting and willing to lay hand on her or send her back home. He married her without courtship for the very wrong reasons below.

●He married her because she is young and innocent.
●He married her because he needed someone that will be under his total influence and control.
● He married her because of total submission from a woman.
●He married her because she has orange breast. We men like female breast too much . We just love to suck female breast and she has nice standing fan boobs.

Right now he is seeing the opposite and not the character he thought he paid for. Instead of character or fine personality, man foolishly lusted after tight vagina and hot breast.

I tried to communicate with the young babe, letting her know she need to be smart and acknowlege herself as now a married young woman. She is no longer in her parents house, but her own house.

Her response to me shows that, she is just a typical village girl who was convince into marriage by her parents. She blame her father.

I am secretly concern about her well being.

My only secret worrries right is that, her hubby should not lay hands on her, by slapping her. I don't like when a man beats a woman.

She is very young and small like that of a 17 years old girl.

That serves your neighbour right. He is equally as confused as the young girl. Why didn't he work on his former marriage? and why remarry a much younger girl. I can assure you that you divorced his first wife because he couldn't control her. He opted for a younger choice so as to control her like a robot. Your neighbour, who didn't see anything wring in marrying someone young enough to be is daughter is the problem here. Avoid the narcissist so he doesn't corrupt you and ruin your home. Remember that misery loves company.

So my friend got this job in management because he knew somebody in that company. But there is high expectations from the company for him to deliver positive results as one of the managers in that company.

This my friend is a university graduate with second class lower result and this manager position is for guys with first class results.

He has never been in management before. Infact, this friend of mine have been at home as an unemployed since 2014. He is socially awkward and easily discouraged. Now he's got this huge job with a big pay, and he is telling me that he feels like a fraud.

He asked for my advice, but I sincerely don't know what to advice him.

So I throw the topic to you guys.

How is he going to behave and probably grow some confidence to overcome this inferior complex?

Fraud or no fraud, the onus is on your friend to try and step up to expectations. Take up online courses and certifications...

So, Today I decided to do something different by cooking my own meal. I drove to the market to buy necessary ingredients for stew.

You mean these small portions of pepper, onion and Tomatoes retail for that amount? Wow! This is seriously serious. I Miss those good old days that with a thousand naira, one can prepare a decent meal.

Your meal looks quite tasty, by the way. Let me share a tip with you, however. Instead of blending your tomato, roast it a bit in an oven or put it in a pot and allow it let out its water and dry up a bit. Then you add pepper, onion and red bell pepper and blend. The flavour is stronger, taste better and quantity more, this way.

Ever tried adding a tiny bit of nutmeg to your stew blend? Its a game changer.

Pls are there phone technicians here who could probably give me an inkling on what’s wrong with my camon x. Since the day the battery went flat,I have not been able to get it started even after charge. It boots for a while,comes on and goes off..and it repeats the process till the battery goes flat again. Phone has an inbuilt battery which further annoys me.

Pls who has experienced this before?
How did you go about the repair?
Is it wise to fix the phone?
Is the phone now useless?
Can phones with inbuilt batteries be fixed especially when it has to do with battery problem?

The items that have already served you for MONTHS if not YEARS and you still want to sell at price higher than the price you actually got it. That's NOT clearance price to me.

Look at the clearance sales put up by @Afolavid weeks back. That's exactly what is called clearance sales.

Among the items he put up here, *he quoted Sleek 65"inch 4K HiSense Smart TV - #150,000 (Backlights attached, Wifi, Smart view, 4K, Netflix, Youtube etc) ** He must have bought the Tv around 170k - 180k in 2020 or thereabout (don't know when he bought it actually but that was the price of the Tv during that time). Having enjoyed it for some months, he sold it for 150k which was pretty good. Mind you, the current price of that Tv is close to 300k.

Another example is my own 50"inch 4K Syinix Android Smart Tv which has all features as that of @Afolavid including Voice Control Remote. I bought it @ 150k from Jamara, free delivery to my apartment in August 2020. The same Tv now sells @ 275k. So, does it mean if I wanna to sell it now I am gonna quote a price, say 180-200k? No, that's NOT a clearance sales. The Tv still has its nylon cover as I rearly use it. Job schedules doesn't me allow stay home much. Since, I have used the item, I shouldn't consider the current market price. Afterall, I am not doing business with it, na clearance sales we call am.

MY HUMBLE OPINION!!!

The problem here is greed. The same greed that has eaten deep into our value system. Trust me, that is worse than having bad leaders.

Good morning all and sundry. So, I came across a post on this platform some days ago about a nairalander's experience with a poop-cladded a**. That gory experience now lives rent-free in my head, which is why I have decided to create this thread to educate us about some restroom, kitchen and housekeeping etiquette. No man knows it all, thus I plan on sharing the few that I practice. Feel free to criticize my submissions as I am open to jettisoning and/or adjusting. Feel free to add yours as well....

1. The first has to be how we go about cleaning ourselves after going about our number two business in the rest room. I have heard people say they wipe with tissue only and that bothers me. I have seen people go about this business in the bush with just paper or tissue (no soap or water). That is downright disgusting. The best way to clean up is to wipe with tissue twice, followed by wipes ( there are special wipes meant for this purpose). Afterwards, you wash with water and soap. As a matter of fact, you need to have a mini bath (waste downwards) to be totally clean. I know that nature can call at anytime and that is the more reason why we need to have a mini bag that we carry around, containing sanitary items to properly clean ourselves. Toilet seat cover should always be down and toilet doors locked.

2. After going about your number two business and cleaning up properly, using step 1 above, please flush properly. Out of sight (in this case, poop) is not out of tunnel. It is advised to flush twice or if you are using a bucket, a bucket full would serve. Now, that is not all. When you flush, you are expected to disinfect your toilet seat. You achieve this by washing with your toilet cleaners. If your toilet cleaner is detergent, lace it with a little hypo, dettol, ziflora or any disinfectant you are privy to. Note that if you use shared toilets, number two should come before number one to avoid picking up infections.
3. When you pee, a bailer-full of water is not enough to take care of that business. A full flush is just about right. Do not forget to clean up after urinating too. In this case, using only water is fine.
4. We are advised to use at least two sponges when taking a bath. The rule of thumb is that if you have to use a sponge on your face, have a sponge dedicated solely for that and have one dedicated to cleaning the genital region and another for other parts of the body. Note also that it is wise to change your sponge once every three month or less and within the period of use, at least once a week, disinfect your sponges with dettol, hypo, ziflora, hydrogen peroxide and so on and sun dry. After use, your sponge should be sun-dried also.
5. Wash every kitchen utensil before using. That they are clean and well sorted doesn't mean they are dust free. After cooking, do well to clean your kitchen. Dispose of the trash gathered from kitchen, wash the used dishes,clean your sink using baking powder, and dish washer daily and the sink hole using baking soda, vinegar and hot water. That you have a trash can stationed in the kitchen doesn't mean there has to be trash in it. Empty and wash the trash can or dustbin as you use. It is not entirely bad to use kitchen cleaners. Not only do they take care of stubborn stains, they leave your kitchen smelling nice. After cooking our iru-laden native meals, you can clean kitchen surfaces and floor using water mixed with hypo. Hypo masks and eliminates strong smell. Also, extend the cleaning to your living areas if you lice in a small space. This is necessary because the smaller your house, the easier it is for kitchen smell to travel to the living room area. When cooking, ensure that the kitchen door is always locked too.
6 wash your dishes immediately after use. Do this religiously and you may never come across a roach in your house.
7. Store uncooked food items in airtight container. Same should apply for cooked items.
8. Wash your fruits and veggies with water and salt or vinegar before cutting.
9. Inasmuch as you wear a clothing item, then it must be washed before being placed back in the wardrope. As for your underwear,it is advised to wear at least two clean underwear (pants/boxers and singlets) per day. Wash your bra daily. Your underwears should also be washed with hot water, detergent and dettol. This is more important for ladies and I am sure you know why. Dry these underwears under the sun and iron before use.
10. Set a boundary amongst the shoes used outside of your house, living room area, kitchen and bathroom. The shoe used outside must never be brought inside of your house. The shoe used in the kitchen should never be used in the bathroom and so on. Please find a subtle way to encourage your visitors to do same. This is important for the avoidance of cross contamination.
11. The buckets used in the bathroom have no business being in the kitchen and vice-versa.
12. Wash your toothbrush with hot water or hydrogen peroxide before use daily. Change your toothbrush every quarter.
13. After using your toilet seat cleaner/brush, rinse and disinfect it and hang it on your toilet seat to dry before keeping it.
14. Change your beddings twice in a week, mop your floors daily with water and disinfectants. Your floors don't have to be dirty before you mop. Your mopping stick had to be sun-dried always so it doesn't smell foul.
15. Your refrigerator is not self-cleaning. First of all, the key to a clean refrigerator is proper packaging of food items. Every food item to be stored in the refrigerator has to he properly sealed in a plastic ziploc bag or plastic storage bowls with cover. Even at that, once a week, it is important to empty the content of your refrigerator, bring out all the shelves and properly clean/disinfect. Exercise caution when storing meat, fish, locust bean and the likes in your refrigerator.
16. Wash your bathrooms daily. Even if you won't go all out to clean, wash the WC, hand bowl and your toilet floor. Then do a thorough cleaning once a week. Note that the tiles in your bathroom should be spotless.
17. Daily cleaning should also be extended to the kitchen and the tiling system in the kitchen has to he neat. No streak of oil, stew or soup please.

I don't really know if the yam pounder can blend beans? If so I should just order the mr.steal yam pounder instead only. Has anyone tried the yam pounder machine before with beans. Don't want to waste more.

If you are not buying from accredited stores on jumia or the brand's official store there, the chances of you buying a fake would be greater than 70.

Good day all.

I want to share with you all what the Lord did for me yesterday o.

While at PHC on a business trip from calabar.
I arrived phc on sunday and decided to sit out with friends on Wednesday night. After dropping my friends at their house and heading to my hotel room with the aid of the google map, a truck was parked on the speedlane at attilary road at phc at about 2am without having backlights or even putting c-caution.

While trying to look at my phone to check where i was heading to and moving at about 100km/hr, as soon as i lifted my head up, a truck was parked at the speedlane with NO backlights and caution sign placed on the road.

And that was how i rammed into the truck. But to the glory of God, i came out unscathed. No injury sustained at all.

The police said i was wrong to have rammed into the truck from behind regardless of where it was parked or even if it was stationary. They said i ought to have been more careful.
Buh i thank God, i am alive, my car got destroyed, but I sustained no injury which is most important.

Thank God you came out unhurt, but take the lesson in this situation. First of all, do not hangout late in cities you are not familiar with. Instead, have your friends take you out and drop you off at your hotel or take an Uber.

Secondly, if there is the need to use google map, have someone read it to you while you drive or set your phone at an angle where you won't have to bend or take your eyes totally away from the road before reading your location.

That speed was unnecessary. I know saw the need to rev up that speed because it was 2A.M and the road was probably empty, but I guess you forgot that your village people dey hold meeting by that time (sarcastic laugh). If you are using google maps, it is better to operate on a moderate speed, especially at that point where you would need to multitask....

Lastly, a wise man once said the trick behind avoiding being in accidents is assuming that all drivers are mad and you are the sane one. That analogy is true. Don't always assume that cars that are broken down would be properly documented on the road. That assumption can only work in organized countries and you and I know we are getting there, but not yet there.

What you cannot tolerate in a relationship should not be initiated from the get go. This is why I always tell people not to woo a lady using gifts. When you do that to a woman, you offset the desire in her to bill you further. Only a few women know how to put this desire in check.

This, nontheless, is not a good enough reason to ditch the relationship. Let her know your stance on things like that and her actions after that would guide on whether to continue or abort mission.

Consider this the foundation of your relationship, so set it aright.
