achina boy: huhhi, just asking for some tips from someone who lives in uk,,,,i live in nederland with my 3kids and my wife, wife is citizen but am not,she studying nursing but am not ok,so i was thinking of going back to niaja and then come back with student visa to uk,so they would join me there or do someone have a better idea cause really wants my kids to grow in english country like uk. thanks
Why not get your spouse visa then move to the UK to study and pay less in school fees and have no restriction in terms of working hrs?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 4:20pm On Jul 22, 2012
ayobj: i have followed the posts on this blog and i find it exciting.i howvere want to share my own experience and maybe it will help other applicants.i must say that my personal experience does not conform to most of the posts herebey posited.
i just picked up my 2 year multiple entry tourist visa to the uk.i applied with my wife and we were both succesful.
contrary to most of tha advices here,my account had 593,000 naira as balance.my wife had 67,000 as balance.
we got the visas after 3 weeks.
i only started travelling abroad last year but i have gone to the usa and the uk since june last year and now.
on my first application last year ,i had only 300,000 naira balance in the my salary account.

i was denied in 2008 december.i was earning 183,000 that year.
had 67,000 in one account and 50,000 in my savings account.
the ECO said it can only buy a return ticket and my IV letter was of unproven circumstance.
i lost faith and was angry until someone encouraged me to apply last year and was successful.
later,in augist,i took my 3 children and wife and was also succesful.
so there may not be a straightjacked response as we think.

i have stopped doing invitation letters since the status of your invitee.
i do hotel bookings all the way.

once again,i am so impressed with this blog.
There is no single rule for visiting visa, it has to do with individual circumstance, if you have million in your account as a student and applying for visiting visa you stand no chance.

A family man who earns about 200k with 500k in his account has a bigger chance of getting a visa cos he has a steady source of income and a stronger tie to Nigeria

If you earn low and want to spend 3x more than your salary in a week or two holiday then your chances is limited.

2sexy: My Guy, Ogbeni... Hold am dia. This is Nigeria and we know how things work with people when something involve money.

If the situation between your agent and somebody get bad what guarantee do have to tender in order for the person to get back his money? Stop that non-sense now!

And did I hear you say he is honest?

I raise a RED FLAG. House and whoever is reading this shouldn't dare it or contact this agent o oo. Whoever does so is only doing at his own detriment.
That will not happen because the post will be hidden before anybody sees it.

You really don't get it, this thread is the fastest growing thread here in Travel Section, many members here have being great helping others with their inquiries and results comes in.

Last yr here an agent scammed more than 8 thousand Nigerians with Canadian visa issue, he has an office in Lagos, advertised the scam on radio and newspaper in Nigeria but still thousands were scammed.

What else will that Canadian agent do that people have not done here?

Please just don't go there, keep your dealings with him off-nairaland and good luck with that.

wesley80: My brother have you read the books of Revelations, Daniel and Jeremiah? Please tell me how many of those prophecies you've been able to interpret on your own. You and I (assuming you're a Xtian) know the secrets of the future of the world have been handed to man but how many have been able to interpret it accurately? If there was a disparity its down to man's interpretation not God's please be objective.
I don't really get where you are coming from....why was the video edited then published to give TB Joshua the credit of predicting it?

Beaf: This is really beginning to look like Alonso's year! Nice one.
Vettel is second, but I believe he'll be penalised for the illegal overtake on Button.
I don't think its his year yet, just two bad races will change the whole thing.

Beaf: You are right. But I wish Button could do what Lewis is doing with his car, he's taken Vettel and is after Alonso (even though a lap down). It just shows that Lewis would have been further ahead than Button now is.
Now in second position he need to race his heart out now, the pit-stop works for Button

Just saw this now http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/18943608.

Red Bull are under investigation for illegal engine mapping and could be forced to start the German Grand Prix from the back of the grid.
The world champions have been reported to the stewards for contravening rules forbidding teams from using exhaust gases for aerodynamic effect.
Red Bull and engine supplier Renault believe they are acting within the rules and that the car is legal.....

This will be interested if Red Bull get punished for this

solomonwis: For the first time,I beg to differ on this! I have applied for a UK visa for my wife and I with a little less than 800k as balance in my account.Though the turnover for the six month period was over N10m.Initially,we were refused on flimsy excuses. After I mentioned my case here,i got Justwise and Vicjustice advice.I appealed and we were called after 3 months. We have since traveled and back into the country.

So,i think there's more to bank statement than just building up and tying up funds that should have been meant for some lucrative ventures.
That makes a huge difference, its not the same as having 400k.

galala123: I concur. I posted my experience, though negative here for others to learn from as I have learnt from other peoples experiences here.

This forum is DIY inclined, so let's keep it that way. We are here to learn from each other because no agent will let go of their "trade secret" even if they see you falling into a trap unless you engage their services.

I completely agree with justwise while wishing Bakorede the best and thanking him/ her for sharing the experience from "agency/ agent" (it just crossed my mind that this could also eventually serve as a learning point). Problem is that the post was leaning towards advertisement and hence the yellow card.
That is exactly what its all about here.

Anymore of such post you will say goodbye to your ID.

dlinks000: @Justwise ....good evening

i have been going through this website as a guest and decided to drop my problem now...please i thank you guys here because you doing a wonderful jon.
house please... am about to submit my document to the british embassy and all the documents ready.
i want to know my chances because my sponsor deposited 400K in my account to cover my trip to the UK though i have been there before on student visa for duration of 1year and 6 months visa which i only stay 1year and 5months.
making it 2years ago i have been in the country.
i work with my uncle in his company and he pays me in cash so i do not have much account balance so decided to deposit the 400K as funds to cover my trip.
Am kind of scared if the deposit won't be money lodgement.
do i state d funds are money paid to me in arrears of my salary for 4 months..please which would be better though i run the account and money goes out steady as i make withdraw but steady but its been like 4 or 6 months ago the account had a balance of 500K but ever since then i have been making withdraws.
would appreciate your kind advise.
Can you list the documents you have?

lalaosky: thats the problem with gays like you...you called religious fellaz fools for not agreeing to your ideologies..as a christain, we dont condone gay pastors...go pick up a bible and show me were it was written...a gay pastor is not practising christainity simple
I called them fools because they behaving like one, they claim moral high ground when they are morally unqualified, they have priest, pastors and Reverend fathers within the church sexually abusing young boys but there was no demonstration to outcast they from the church, rather they are transferred to another branch just to safe face.

For the fact that i'm speaking against two-faced hypocrites like you does not make me gay because i'm not one and will not asked gays to be killed or jailed.

If the bible condemned gay relationship to be a sin then its just one form of sin, your use of fowl language, swearing words and all sorts of insults is another sin, there is no big or small sin in the sight of God.

Let God judge them, you don't qualify on the bases that your society is a religious one, your religious leaders are doing the same thing in secret while they come in public to denounced it.

This is the problem with some of you religious fanatics, always on the forefront to condemn others and quote bible while they are living and worshiping people who commit heinous crimes.

You don't have any moral right to condemn others because of their sexual orientation while you have people within your 'religious society' doing exactly the same thing. I mean. . pastors engaging in homosexual activities with YOUNG BOYS, why is that gay pastor being tolerated within your religious society?
