MRbrownJAY: i am also not too pleased that Alonso is fighting at the top with the RBRs at the moment, i would rather it is Ham, as i certainly believe that he is the better driver ....... now imagine if yesterday's race started with Alonso and Ham on pole?! then we would have seen some fantastic driving skills/ manœuvres.

its still mid championship and the lead is only 34pts (Webber) and 44pts (vettel), one DNF and it will all be gone, Alonso/Ferrari needs to keep the pressure and the car in tip top shape!

now all the Alonso doubters should think about this thought for a minute: many came within DRS distance of Alonso yesterday, yet none could overtake him. we can NOW confirm that Ferrari got the car that could possibly win this championship. although it hasnt got the extra edge of the 2010/2011 RBR it certainly has a better skilled driver, lol!
That was the battle was dying to see, i was even expecting the old fuss between Massa and Lewis to come alight again when both of them ended up in 17 and 18 the position after the 2-3laps but non of those happened, not the race i enjoyed at all.

philipin7: Justwise i got this information from the UK BA site that is why i feel i can use my sister inlaw

- If someone else is paying for your trip then they should consider providing the same information about their finances and
employment.
- If you are providing documents from a joint account then please explain who the other account holders are, and why you
have permission to spend money from the account
- If your spouse or partner is employed then the Entry Clearance Officer would also like to see evidence of their
employment and financial details.
Yes that is the point, are you ready to explain to the ECO that your husband is British but he is not sponsoring you but you will stay with him when you get there? If you are ready to do that then fine. Put his details and that of your sister inlaw.

Enlightened1: Omg!! What an insult to Nigeria. Common Zambia., Men Nigeria is going to the dogs. A situation where a rat threatens a cat is of great concern to the cat. I don't know where this country is headed to, we have a collective duty as citizens to save this country from going to the doldrums. I weep for my country, its citizenry and generations, yet unborn.
Some Nigerians don't really get it, unfortunately other countries sees what the problem while we are busy blowing hot air.

bumdish: I totally agree with the fact that the sanctity of Threads must be kept, the "Hidden Post" thingy is also very annoying as readers become even more curious to know what the Moderators are hiding. You can imagine what facebook would have become by now if you keep seeing "Hidden Post" on comment threads or some dude issuing out a profile deletion threat. I had rather that posts are secretly hidden while the poster is privately engaged by the way of email , some red alert message on the individual's profile or outright profile deletion if need be. Same thing goes for threads closure, participants should be pre-informed by email or something else rather than the rude red THREAD CLOSED stamp.

Nairaland has done well, guess it time to make the system even more intelligent.
That is being done here in NL already, Mods do send warning messages which appears on your front page in red.

You can not compile Facebook to nl, nl is much easier to monitor hence the ability to hide any post or thread deemed inappropriate, you can't do that in Facebook with a membership equivalent to a population of country but when you commit any crime using facebook your account will be deleted and your details will be handed over to the authority.

Hiding post is better because one can bring it out again if needed or edit it and remove any personal detail on it.

That said. . . you can't please everybody.

Beats my imagination Nigerians would troop to National Theater waiting to be air lifted to Canada. Are u kidding me? Na hajj??

@Bakorede - Am sure you would't blame the house for the apathy towards this "AGENTS" thingy. One whose father was struck in the head by a bullet uses an iron pot to make himself a helmet.
@justwise - Great work you are doing here sir. I hope the reward is handsome too. My small advise; while you go about doing this brilliant censoring task, I do not think "ID Withdrawal" threats should be a tool ready for early deployment at the slightest provocation.
@all TRV hopefuls - Please keep keeping on, it is nearer than you can imagine.
That is the only way of stopping that person from posting that material again, i can't keep hiding people's post because it doesn't look good when people keep seeing hidden posts.

I don't enjoy hiding posts of banning people but sometimes after several warnings that becomes the only option.

philipin7: Thanks Justwise for your assistance so far.

Please i have a mix up along the line, and i need your help on this.My sister in-law has decided to sponsor my trip and i wanted to know if i should still use the family visitor form or i just go for the general visitor form. This is because i dont have pictures taken with her, we rarely communicate so no emails and telephone records available. Just want her to bring her bank statements and employment documents as my sponsor, then stay with my husband. What documents do i need from her and what do i need from my husband
You stand far better chance with your husband being the sponsor than your sister inlaw since they both live in the same country.

If you scroll back you will see the list of documents i listed that you need from your husband, i think a page or two back.

My worry is this. . .if you fill-in your husband's name in the form but claimed to be visiting your sister inlaw who lives in the same country with your husband don't you think it will raise doubt about your marriage?

Your sister inlaw should send you prove of accommodation, data page of her passport, bank statement/payslip and IV.

And you just shown the quality of a good leader? What you have being doing here since you joined is to say things in order to be seem to be caring/helping, i don't wipe noses, i say things the way i see it, it doesn't have to be popular with people like you.

He can not leave Nigeria in search of football club at his age. Its a wrong way of going about it, if he is going for studies at that age fine, if he is that good of a footballer why not start from Nigeria and get discovered by local or foreign club?

Where do you think this young man will get the money for that expensive foreign trip?

I still maintain my ground on it, if he opens such thread again i will remove it.

No problem, keep stopping your crawling baby whenever he tries to stand cos you believe he's still too young to stand, when he becomes a lame you must prepare to push wheel. At this 21st century you still think 17 is too young to stand.

Wasbayd: That's where the need of counselling comes in. When you are talking to a zealous young fellow you need to be extra careful so that you dont scare him out of his dream in the process of trying to protect him. Let me say this for the interest I have in your ideas, you are a moderator, any action or reaction you take or give will go farther than what you can ever imagine, dont be surprise your ideas have brought to reality the dreams of many and have killed the dreams of many, cos you are not an angel, so you cant be perfect. We die the day we stop learning, so live and keep living.
I really don't know what you are driving at, this young man can not travel to any country outside Nigeria in search of football club, its wrong and against any rule guarding football transfer/recruitment.

I don't want people to contact him through his posts here promising all sorts of dodgy deals, if that is what you mean by killing his dreams then i'm ready to do that

You would pity them. Some borrowed money, some quit their jobs, some sold their property and so on and had nothing to fall back on after mishap.
But what people who scam others do not know is that they too will suffer.
Now imagine the number of curse that the scammer will receive from the somewhat 8k victims. O boy no pray make somebody naked swear for you o o o. chic2pimp: Lewis is currently having no luck at all.
The rub of the green seems to be going against him.
Any and Every thing that can possible go wrong is indeed going wrong. He just needs one or two things to shift in his favour and he'll be right back in the title race.

Moving on as Beaf alluded to, this looking more and more like Alonso's year.
Unless something drastically goes wrong I really don't see him loosing his Firm Grip on the Title.

It doesn't need to be drastic, finishing outside point position 2 or 3times will change the game

achina don't listen to this individual, everything who wrote here will cost you dearly.

Since your wife is a citizen get your spouse visa and move to the UK straight from Holland, with that you don't need to apply for student visa and you will pay as home student and work full-time while studying.

You will be entitled to apply for scholarship just like British students, there is no need going back to Nigeria.

You don't need any international school agent to do that, this is what you can do for yourself within a day.

You know ''a couple of Nigerians'' doing well in Mexico. SO WHAT? Are there not millions of Nigerians doing well IN NIGERIA?? Anyone with a brain knows that both nations are developing countries, with very similar problems. None is ''miles better than'' the other. It is people like you with your deceitful claims that make Nigerians think their country is the worst place on earth only for them to go to these so called heavenly countries and waste away driving taxi or washing plates and too ashamed to return home for fear of being labelled failures! Next thing you know he's joining drug trade! Same thing happens in SA. Nigerians leave here and go to ''Eldorado'' SA and find there's nothing there for them. Next thing they're pimping hos and selling drugs on the street, rubbishing the country's image for nothing. I bet you if this guy spent half the energy and money he's using to go and languish in Mexico, on starting a business in Nigeria, he would live a far more fulfilled life here in Naija.
What is wrong with making a decent living as a tax driver or washing plate (even as nobody washes plate as a living now)
