amanze54: Then I have to broaden my application to customer care role which seem available but my worry is those role always display part time or full time and will not issue a letter stating placement. Now I have to clarify from school placement unit if this role can be accepted. Or I have to find way to get any lob offer letter and then sort out the technicality of placement or no placement with the school My suggestion to you is this....don't allow that one year placement visa to end without you doing any job, no matter the sort of job. Don't focus on your field of study alone(I know it sounds odd but..) work experience is not necessarily about what you studied but also about working culture/environment whether in your field or any other sector. Don't leave a gap in your CV |

Mamatukwas: The Uni Sef is supposed to help you with getting a placement! I’m sure they promised all sorts, now it has entered voice mail! Wo, if they have a careers or placement department write them very frequently for help! Don’t allow them to use and dump. Funny people Well.. what many universities do not help you get placement space and don’t expect the university to pair you with a company that deals with your field. They see placement as an opportunity for the student to gain work experience in general. |

Because I have a friend over there that I called and also told me that it is possible, maybe get to Holland and Move to Latvia or Finland or Italy and process my papers there,
Someone in the house that knows about this please help me, please no insult just serious replies please Yes with one Schegen visa you can travel to other Schegen countries but you can not process your paper in any of those countries, you will only going to become an illegal immigrant and waste way like many other Nigerians |

That is what I am trying to clarify. My 1st visa I was 5 month pregnant and I went there with everything and got the visa without no stress. My question is do they still give that? Because since trump canceled it no one has reversed it. But I might be wrong. I thought you are sure of all you were saying? |

TheGuyFromHR: Appropriate punishment is the award being taken away and him being ejected from the Academy. No emotions involved. Clear judgement. I'll give you another example - there's something called a moral turpitude clause usually inserted in employment agreements, whereby if an employee does something deemed morally wrong, irrespective of their job performance and whether it was work - related, the employer can terminate their employment on those grounds. I'm aware of instances where that was applied.
So I think that the Academy should take away their (not his) Oscar from Smith. He doesn't deserve it, because he doesn't represent their stated values. Did you notice how other black celebrities were comforting him and not Chris? Did you notice that he received an award and standing ovations just after assaulting someone on live TV? He did not even apologies to CR during his speech, only after hours of news coverage that he decided to apologise. He laughed at that joke a first then turned around and noticed that his wife did not find it funny then lashed out. Shame to those black celebrities comforting and supporting him after what he did. |

TheGuyFromHR: I agree - the Academy should withdraw the award. Irrespective of the merits or otherwise of the joke about his wife's hair and how he felt about it, resorting to violence, and on the Academy's premises before the whole world to boot, is a no-no. Unless the pressure increases on Academy I don’t think they have the backbone to withdraw the award |

canadaishome: Some things are out of line even for these so called comedians. It's like someone has cancer or a serious illness and he makes a joke out of it. That's insensitive. Jada suffers from alopecia and she has been very public about it Jada and Smith know this industry more than anyone and should not be violent because of a joke, yes they can get angry and boycott the next Oscar but hitting a comedian because of a joke is childish Ricky Gervais has said worse during his previous Oscars presentations but nobody assaulted him and sure Smith wouldn’t even dare it |

TheGuyFromHR: That's what comedians are there for - to stretch boundaries. But Smith is an ass, what's he trying to prove - so-called "love", by committing assault and battery in full view of the world and on a small chap. If na Dave Chappelle or Hamish Buress for instance, Smith won't have slapped him, because those ones will attack him back. I think he should be arrested and his award taken away. |

MaryAndrews: I get your point. In the past, we could get a B visa just because we wanted to go to the US to give birth. Effective January 2020, the US embassy has stopped issuing visas for the sole purpose of birth tourism. I have attached a screenshot from the Embassy's website. In recent times, people have been travelling either with tourist visa (I hear you need to inform the embassy before travelling to give birth) or medical visas (with proof of why you need to travel for medical. Pregnancy related or not). Even women who are not visibility pregnant and go for a tourist visa interviews are warned not to use it for childbirth without informing the embassy. I got my tourist visa renewed in 2019 via dropbox and travelled to give birth in 2021. I wasn't aware that I needed to send an email (my last 3 renewals were via dropbox, so I haven't had an interview in over 7 years). I submitted for renewal via Interview Waiver and was asked to go schedule a follow up interview. Other people who sent the email had their visas renewed via Interview Waiver with no hassle. That update was 2yrs ago during Trump administration, B-1/B-2 visa holder can still give birth in US if you are able to convince the VO why you should be issued a visa. You don't have to hid your tummy or lie during the interview because if you do you still get caught at the long run. |

BorisJohnson: It’s not the ‘Nigerian’ in you that is asking that question. It is the Criminal in you. Banish the thoughts.
I made a post a couple of pages back. I mentioned something about being in the system. To your ‘naked’ eyes, no checks were made. But that is not so. The OP may not have submitted any documents to the Credit card company directly. The OP however MUST have had a credit file, with address history, credit history and etc. This is not Nigeria where you do biometrics for MTN SIM, you do biometrics for Glo SIM, you do biometrics for Etisalat SIM, you do biometrics for Econet SIM. you do biometrics for Pantami’s NIN, you do biometrics for voters card. You do biometrics for BVN. You do biometrics for passport. Yet, none of these is connected. No data sharing. No central server. No nothing.
So… banish the thought. You are right , i applied for Amazon Platinum MasterCard recently and was not asked for any document, only my details and the card was approved because i have other credit cards and store card. |

Niveakreamy89: You know there is not one way it getting this visa. But are you trying to say she can go to the embassy boldly with tummy showing and request for birth? Make una dey talk true ooooo. Well I said what I said. Oga your wife can not go there with big tummy. I saw a lot on my own day. So over to the elders. You are talking nonsense, yes one can get a visa to give birth in US even when visibly pregnant during the interview All the VO wants to know is whether the applicant can comfortably afford giving birth in US and return to Nigeria. |

Niveakreamy89: Your 1st step is to pay for appointment and start looking for interview date. Because now there is no birthing visa so her tummy must not show when she is going for her interview. So I suggest the earlier the better.the only time she can go with big tummy which is still 50/50 is when she wants to claim complications (Godforbid ooo) and you will back it up with doctors appointment both Nigeria and American doctor that has accepted to take her with her condition. And then pray for high Favour. Are you sure about this? |

ELIZABET: Good morning good people and @justwise. Some time ago, I posted here about UK dependant visa refusal due to errors on their part.
I applied for Administrative review, and the refusal decision was overturned and withdrawn 26 days after my AR application.
Does anyone have any idea how long it might take UKVI to ask for passport re-submission and granting of the visas after a successful AR?
It is two weeks now since I received the Administrative review success letter.
I have used the paid call to reached out with no tangible result/information.
My enquiries 1) how long it takes to ask for passport re-submission?
2) how long it takes to collect passports/visas after submission?
3) any medium to contact UKVI about status or follow up after successful AR?
Gracias. There is no time scale for your question 1&2, it could take a month or less 3. There is paid link to contact UKVI, google it and people have posted the same link here too many times |

khasm: Dear justwise, I’m in the Uk on a student visa. My family wants to put in their application next week but their passport expiry is 24th April,2022 for my wife, 24th may 2022 for the children. Every document is ready. Can we add evidence of passport renewal and a cover letter to the application? I just want them to get the visa now and anytime the new passport is ready they can travel. I know the UK does not bother applicants about passport expiration issue but this is very close, that passport may expire while the visa application is still under consideration. You left this too late, well you can add evidence of passport renewal and hope for the best |

My salary account where I earn 405k after tax and pension and my savings account where I got payment from other side businesses and rents on property. Ok, you have to declare this and state why you were refused |

I just got denied a UK visiting visa which my organisation sponsored. However, I am working on a Student Visa. Will the denial have any implication on the student visa application, moreso, since the student visa application might be coming three months after?
Views will be highly appreciated. The answer is Yes and No, depending on the reason(s) why you were refused |
