Bluetherapy: Begs the question of how you got this job .
Dud you do interview? Don't you have a direct connection to your oga at the top? 1. This is not a job, its a voluntary service 2. I was voted to moderate the section, thosedays to be a mod nairalanders have to vote for you, couple of potential mods will be selected and voted for, one with highest vote becomes a mod. 3. I don't have direct contact to Seun and i don't think any mod does, we contact him the same way other nairalanders do. |

OnyeObodo: And I pity any of you that will contact the person that wrote that fake story of a man of God praying for his visa to come out. So many gullible people or his accomplices are already quoting him and thanking God for mercies.
God. What a generation of mentally and psychologically defeated slobs. If your documents are complete and you followed due process, what other magic do you need to get visa?
So many inconsistencies in that very useless story but I will leave it for another day. God threw down money from heaven to his bank account.
Who doesnt know that you are trying to scam people? So they will pm you for the man of God to pray for them too. At some certain amount of course which will ruin them the more.
Anyways, Nigerians are mostly gullible fools who are overtly religious. You may succeed in getting some iddiots though. Which post are you referring to? |

If you have your money, you have a property in Nigeria then am pretty sure you are better off after slaving here working for many years, my pension years would be spent in Nigeria in Jesus name! its not about having money, security issue is the biggest prob. |

Lexusgs430: This point is very important.... Most people don't know this........
Someone chatted me up on WA, this was my exact answer........
How can you submit documents of a thriving business or been in full time employment, but decide to stay out, for 5 months........
Which employer, would grant you 5 months break ..... Even in this COVID era, been on ground is very important......... Even the rich and famous doesn't go on holiday for 5-6months. Yes grandmothers/pensioners can visit their grandkids and stay more than one month and still get the visa renewed but for a working age adult is highly suspicious and i don't know any sort of excuse that could adequately explained that length of holiday |

Christabeliciou: Yes some people stayed more than a month maybe as a result of something else came up, can be health ground that they now seek medical attention to, that can also be a reason. Because you can't predict, you might go over and say it's 1month you want to spend, but peradventure you need medical attention can lead to you staying up to 3months. So people can have their reason for staying more than a month, if you have proof especially if it's health ground. but no matter what, don't stay above their maximum stay of 6months, Staying within the limit of 180 days is not an immigration offense. You will not have problem reentering. But staying more than that it's an immigration offense and it becomes an issue.
staying for 5 months is not a problem if you can afford it and give valid reason of that stay especially on health ground, my opinion.. Like I said this will only come to play during your next UK application for renewal will be difficult. But if your visa is still valid for that 2yrs and you only spend 3 or 5months out of it before coming back home to me it's not bad, you can still re-enter UK again as long you have reason to explain your staying at that duration Apart from medical reasons what other reason do you have to stay 6months or 180days on holiday even if you are self employed? When you applied for the visa did you present budget of 6months stay? |

Dami106: Ahhh, but what if i have a good explanation/reason for staying 5months? But i am aware of people that stayed more than a month without issues, even someone on this forum mentioned she has seen some self employed going on vacation for couples of months. Yes you maybe aware of people who stayed longer than one month but do you know if they stated that in their visa application? Anyway good luck with whatever decision you are going to make. |

humblemoi: It depends on how you explain what you were doing for 5 months while being expected to still be paid employment. It might be a factor if requested during your visa renewal or at the point of entry whichever comes first. It is all done on a case by case basis. Which company will keep paying you for longer than one month while you travel outside the country for holiday? |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by justwise(mod): 8:26pm On Apr 01, 2022 |
Dami106 : Got the visa while i was still employed, later resigned to focus on my side business which i was actually doing before, while i was still employed. But i will place someone in charge to oversee it on my behalf before traveling for vacationIf you are lucky to go through POE without questioning when that visa expires you will struggle to renew it. Even if you are self employed nobody goes on holiday and stays for 5-6months. You have to explain what you were doing in the UK for that long. What they have in your file is that you are employed and annual holiday is not longer than one month. |

Dami106: Hello House, please i want to ask a question, which i will like you to make an enquiry about in case you don't know about it. I've been to the UK with a 6months visitor visa and stayed for one month. I have a 2years visitor visa now. The question is, if i get to POE and am asked, how long are you staying? And my response is one month. Then i now stayed 5months before coming back home. Then let's say like 7months later i decided to travel back to the UK, wont they tell me that the last time i came, i said am staying for one month but i stayed for 5months. Will this be an issue for me to enter again? However i know they said the maximum you can stay is 6months. Pls i need a response. Do you work or do business in Nigeria#? |

Don't know which is which . Sending it is better than not, even if they don't pay attention to it at least you have evidence that you have informed them about change of intent. Though it will not help your case if you have lied during the visa interview then sent letter at a late date just to cover your lies |
