Blanchefleur: @justwise, trust you are well? Please my husband is in Russia and wants to apply for a Dependent Visa ( I am in the Uk already) but because of the current restrictions, he can't convert his naira/dollar to the Russian currency. Can he use his Naira bank statement to apply for a visa In Russia? I'm not sure if that will work, why not come back to Nigeria to apply? If he applied in Russia and get it how will he travel from Russia to the UK since flights from Russia is not allowed in to the UK air space? Though considering the situation he maybe allowed to use his Nigerian bank account but he has to explain this in his application |

Why can't they even do it early?
BTW palgerism is presenting someone work as yours.
Outsourcing/copy and paste. There both others work. People outsource project when they spent time working and not doing the project or when their supervisor gave them project topic they got no clue about. Yes outsourcing work is plagiarism |

Mimzyy: Was trying to see if I could get something cheaper as prices were high on the airlines websites. Sometimes, agents/third party websites (genuine ones) have access to deals from these airlines that they will not directly offer to individuals… Yes they may have access to some deals but considering the fact that they add their commission at the checkout and also the fact that if you have problems with that ticket at airport the airline will not help you then i don’t see the benefit. |

mizGene: Go and tell your school or your work place you outsourced your project since you are proud of your nonsense. This outsourcing of course work and project is very common , i know at least two Nigerians who outsourced their final projects...one is a professor now. I know Indian students also do this a lot. A Nigerian student i know years ago was begging someone to accept £700 to help her write her finally project as she has 3wks to submission |

Mimzyy: I eventually purchased directly from British airways website to avoid any more stories that touch because I was really shaken by that experience despite my supposed “wokeness level”. They are also a registered company because I checked on gov.Uk so the level at which they operate is different from the norm. So let’s be careful out there and be very mindful cos the level of scam is just on another level entirely. I still do not understand why people buy ticket from 3rd party website or agents rather than directly from the airlines |

Toks7: Good day Gurus, I’m Tokunbo and I’m currently 29 years of age, I completed my first year in Babcock university in 2013 while studying Bsc in Political Science. I could not go back the next year to complete my program because I lost my dad and there was no means for my mum to come up with the fees. I resorted to been a man quickly and striving to adapt to the new changes by working series of semi skilled jobs and unskilled labor jobs. I acquired some IT skills, web developments, programming etc along the line . I received some online certifications from Karox technologies in India. Since 2013 and now 2022, 9years away from the university whilst striving in the university of life doing several jobs. I have savings of roughly 4.5million naira and I plan on having a change of study and career part as I wish to enroll for September in take in any UK university pursing a Bsc in Data Science as I believe Data is the new oil. I have 2 aunties and an uncle in the UK (they are UK citizens) who are ready to help with extra funds to what I have in order for me to purse my dream of a Bsc in Data Science. These are my questions for the gurus in the house >>> 1.) Been a 29 year old unmarried man with no kids going back to the Uni transitioning from an academic background of political science in My first year in Babcock what chances do I have in gaining an admission from any UK university with my year 1 transcript from Babcock? 2.) What are the chances of getting a job on a student visa working the 20hours per week as the law states. 3.) is it late starting to apply to the universities for a September in take admission currently at the moment? 4.) Would I be able to get my official year 1 transcript from Babcock since I didn’t complete my program although I do have the print out of my personal year 1 result from my student profile. I had that printed since year 1. 5.) After completion of my Bsc in data science I plan on staying back in the UK and possibly get a job with my degree and along the line get married to a UK citizen. Do I stand a chance of getting a job after 3 years of my program bearing in mind I will be 32 by then God willing. Lastly I’m open to advices and suggestions from anyone in a similar position as myself. Thank you all for reading and I await your responses.
Cc: Justwise 1. Your age will not be an issue as long as you meet the course requirements 2. There are part time jobs you can do as long as you are not picky 3. I'm not sure if admission window is opened now but you can still visit university websites to find out 4. No idea, only you will find that out 5. Graduating with a good result will enhance your employment prospect. |

Nelsmannnnnnnnn: Good day gurus,
Please my WAEC certificate (original) has female on it instead of male. This cert was issued to me in 2010. I used it like that for my first degree (graduated in 2015) and every other things including employment with no queries.
Right now, I'm applying for my Msc. Will this error pose an issue either from the school or at the Visa stage?
Please advice.
Cc: Justwise Of course it will if spotted by immigration at any POE or even during your visa processing |

Lexusgs430: The moment you pay via eBay, PayPal would inform seller of funds......
But funds are not immediately available.......... As long as it was a successful payment the seller will have access to that money immediately even before the item is marked as dispatched. |

Lexusgs430: PayPal would never release funds to sellers, without adequate PayPal history.......
The onus also lays at the buyers door, to notify of any fraudulent activities...... So immediate blocks, can be applied ...... They will 100%. Why would they withhold the payment? You can not have adequate history without that very first transaction |

tolajay: Let's not mix up the issues: Outsourcing isn't plagiarism.
May I ask you;
Are all outsourced work plagiarised?
Are all plagiarised work outsourced?
Is it possible to outsource and be fully prepared to defend same?
I have no support fibre for plagiarism but outsourcing a project/assignment for whatever reason isn't out place, in as much as you can follow through on the process, review and defend your outcome. Yes and Yes!! end of story |

onecoder: I believe this is possible too with churn and burn accounts. Same way people use bank accounts without identification for fraud in 9ja. The most important thing here is for people to do their dd before buying or sending money, i have bought stuff from facebook marketplace and send money and the seller sent my item by post, i have also sold stuff and get paid and i post it to the buyer. Scammers are not always difficult to spot in facebook marketplace or Ebay if you pay close attention to their profile and what they say. |

Lexusgs430: The bank no longer relies on insurance refunds (they used to years ago)
Hence numerous warnings, issued before you transfer funds .......
I am not only speaking from what people say, but from incidents I have been personally involved in........
If funds cannot be recovered and the victim is wholly responsible...... The victim paid school fees ......... I'm not talking about bank here, i'm talking insurance company, Paypal or Ebay will not offer you money back guarantee if they don't have a good insurance policy that covers fraudulent transactions . |

Viruses: I haven't really used PayPal much, how does it work? Is it just to login and make payment the normal way or there's some form of setup.
Also for reporting to the police, is it to go to the station or call? PayPal is like online bank, you can open account with them and linked it to your bank account or transfer from your bank to your Paypal account Many online companies accept payment through Paypal just like other bank cards but charges for business transactions and if the business transaction goes back they refund you the full amount. Yes you can call the police to report and you can also report to Action Fraud online both work hand-in-hand |

So, this makes no sense to the scammer...... They want/seek, chop and clean mouth ......... They get the money back from insurance company, scammers hardly pay back |

Lexusgs430: This should act as a lesson, to all new migrants........ Fraud rate is very high in the UK, people would take advantage of the weak and uninformed........
If that deal is too good to be true, it probably got fraud written all over it ...........
You have platforms to buy from, that offers you financial protection (eBay - PayPal)........
Fraudsters would never use a platform, that offers financial protection....... They will, infact that is their preferred platform as they believe that the victim will get the money back. |

I told her I will like to pick up myself and pay then, she gave me post code but I have a strong feeling that it is false address. Is this address in the same city in you live in? You can use google map to verify the address and go with one or two more people to collect the phone but don't pay rather call the police if the person tries to fight for it. This happened to my friend, he made £100 deposit and the person blocked he, he gave me the person's details and i made an offer for the same phone and arranged a pick up, the address he gave us was somewhere in city centre, we went and collected the phone then told him exactly who we are and threatened to call the police he ran away. |
