Consequently, Mr EnglandAmaka, kindly take down your comment or expunge the inappropriate part. Thanks.
It’s morally and legally inappropriate, there is nothing like MAY here.
If Nigeria is banned or put on risk list we will be quick to shout racism!! but forgot our fraudulent activities

Only one person reported that post while the rest look away.

Shameful!!!

Newcastle is not bad as you are portraying it. At least, for starters, it's a good place considering cost of living.
I never portrayed Newcastle as a bad place to live

Not the accent, Newcastle itself.

Feel free to redefined poshness but i see nothing posh about Newcastle or people from there, yes they have some well-known celebs and maybe some posh post codes but in general Newcastle is not talked about in that sense.

Newcastle is in the north of England, and unfortunately the attitude of the south-eastern part (read London and that area) towards northerners is somewhat like the way some Nigerians perceive northern Nigeria, and the strong accent in northern England is certainly far from being "posh", in the sense that that word is used in this class-ridden country. A person with a northern accent would most likely be stereotyped as being working class.
To me Geordie and Scouse accents followed by Scottish are no where near posh

You listen to Steven gerrard or Cherry Cole speak you wondering if it’s the same English language

Newcastle is nice, clean, cold, the natives are nice and have a strong accent, it’s kind of posh, huge immigrant community because of the universities and cheap accommodation and transportation(one card for train & buses) compared to most major cities.
Newcastle accent posh?

Please how was the renewal process like In the UK? I have been reading about the Nigeria embassy in London regarding this renewal issue and their high level of extortion. Please can you give more insight ?
tshoboy:
Just left the High Commission. The process inside was okay. I didn't have to wait for more than 30-45mins for the whole process. The issue is getting inside and these are the things I learnt:
- DON'T visit the High Commission without an appointment. There is no fast-track again and they sent people without appointment back. Very disappointing because the website has little to no information on these recent change and there are people attending from outside London with the expectation to use Fast-track. Book your appointment here https://appointments.immigration.gov.ng/ and only attend on your appointment date. They might not attend to you if you go before or after your appointment date.
- If your application/payment date is from 20 November 2021 and you have booked an appointment date. Go with your documents i..e old passport, payment slip, acknowledgement slip etc. Visit a post office and pay for £20 money order + RoyalMail special delivery envelope. I used the Strand post office less than 10mins walk from the High Commission.
- If your application/payment date is before 20 November 2021 and you have booked an appointment using te link above. Follow same steps as above, but sadly, you have to buy £120 money order + RoyalMail special delivery envelope. They gave some lame reason for this - payments before the 20 Nov was for the older epassport and not the enhances passport. THose that paid before 20 Nov paid lesser amount. Also, you had to book appointment separately and it didnt come with your application unlike those after that day that their acknowledgement slip contains the booking link above. Both reasons were lame, but they didnt allow me enter till I went to do additional £100 money order.

They also don't follow the appointment time. My appointment time was 12pm, but i got there before 10am, spent an hour aguing about the extra £100 money order. Went to the post office to do the extra £100 money order and I was out of there less than an hour.

So, you should be out of there

Apparently things have changed now compared to when I was there last November, then to get your passport you need to pay for fast track because there is no appointment but from what a lot of people have posted here recently they have now reinstated the appointment system.

There is someone here that gave a very good details about current situation there now , please read few pages back for that post because it has all you need to know

From the mail they sent to me this morning. The things they stock are being donated by shops like morissons and other food suppliers.

Good morning elders it looks like i have started entering trouble. I went to shop in a community shop some days back. Justwise and co, is that not tantamount to enjoying public funds?

According to the shop, you pay for 5pounds yearly subscription and after that you shop for 3pounds at each shopping and you pay 3pounds but you can only 3times max per week. So together your first shopping u pay a total of 8pounds.

What attracted me to the shop was when i heard they had yams. So I entered and collected the last yam left and few other items and paid 8pounds as a first timer.

Is this an offence? I just reasoned it now!
Is this a charity shop?

This is exactly why Nigeria is screwup, church is now a big business, pastors opening branches everywhere and getting rich while gullible church members remain poor and sheepishly following papa-in the lord. What a shame!!

I know someone who did that. Those Ukrainians can be bought with money undecided

False alarm how? so paying £3000 here and paying another £6000 immediately you get to the school to register is fair?

Well I did not make my comment for you...seems you are damn rich. My comment Is for those people here that don't have much and can't afford such Tuition Fee payment within a short period Of time.

Some of you don't read to understand, you read to reply...mtcheew

Note: if You are applying to any school, make sure you asked them to send you their payment plan...oxford brookes payment Plan is something else. Stay away from this school if you are rich...my one piece
If you are unable to pay deposit and remaining school fees within short period then it’s obvious that you are going to use fraudulent way to get the visa.

It shows that you got no money to study in the UK , just want to japa by any means possible.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Was Given A Suspension Letter by justwise(m):
BRAINNY:
I understand that the non-payment of your salary must have gotten to you. However, you ought to weigh the outcome of your needless confrontation with your boss.

Nigeria has its peculiarities. But if it were in developed countries like the one I live in, you'd likely be without a job for quite a long time. Employers need recommendation letters from your previous employers. And be sure that this one will scuttle every other opportunity that comes your way. I know someone (now late) whose chances of a shot in the medical field in the UK got destroyed because his previous supervisor wrote badly of him. That took the trajectory of his career in a different direction. It seems he never recovered.

People management skills are indispensable in the corporate world. Besides, humility is paramount. The holy book says pride comes before a fall. You may well watch it. A simple, 'I'm sorry and good morning sir' would have saved you this needless back and forth. And I must add that that wouldn't take anything off you. Two captains can't lead a ship. If the boss is arrogant and you tow his path, the clashes will be constant and that's unhealthy for the organisation.

Those urging you on wouldn't pay your bills. The best would have been to just play the fool while looking for another job. Once you've gotten it and gotten their recommendation, then leave.
This nonsense will not happen in any developed country. In which developed country do you live?

Hello y'all,

Please i wish to inquire about travelling to Nigeria with a passport which will expire in 5 Months time. Is it possible to travel to Nigeria and return to my base with a passport of less than 6months validity without facing any problems at the immigration level?
The return to base will take place before expiration of the passport.

Thanks.
Absolutely no problem, I have traveled to Nigeria with 8days left on my passport and came back with just 2days left. When asked I told the immigration officer that I will renew it when I get to the UK.
