Blackfinegirl: Please I need a response to this. While I was a student In the UK, I had a National insurance number. Now I am applying for a visit visa and I am asked for the number but I can’t remember it. It’s been more than 9 years I left the UK.
If I click yes, it will ask for the number and I can’t put any random thing there. I am thinking I should click no and explain further in my letter of explanation. Please gurus in the house , help look into this. @justwise @tutu82
Ogilinsaka: I've always wanted to ask this: I have never seen governors, senators or top individuals at the embassy doing biometrics. How do they go about it. Or are they exempted from biometrics? Please answer. Thanks
Cc justwise please help me with this question. Thanks
They travel with red passport so i don't think they do biometric or need a visa
.. definitely I would want it to be genuine because of love.. I'm not in a relationship with anyone currently, and I plan on settling down, so I feel the only issue here will getting a citizen with genuine intentions like myself.
Well,i will only know that after my degree, but l have technical skills in pool construction and maintenance, as well as plumbing, I think pending when d kpali go begin pay off make I hustle with those skills, as well as any other small jobs that come to put body n soul together, I know certification in those field will also be a prerequisite. I feel teeside is a good university sha. Good no go shame us.
Check if project management is in occupational job shortlist because studying the right course helps that process of staying back after graduation Okay will do dat research...
thanks
Those are good set of skills that will help you greatly when you finally settled here but the process of getting settled is where the battle is.
If you managed to graduated without repeating any module and get your PSW then those skills will be handy.
jtech17: The thing is the project management msc is in the construction industry.. so its kind of related.. I've had other mechanical engineering experiences as well as outside engineering work experiences... and I think teeside is one of the cheapest when it comes to some engineering courses .. most engineering courses ive checked in other schools re expensive or not related to what I hve skills in... PM is very well related.
I will worry about the fees oo to be honest.. I'm gonna be sponsored by a Relative but the funds will be in my account...
That has it’s downside too which affects a lot of Internatioal students.. when you graduated from one of those cheap universities getting a graduate job can be a long walk compared to others with certificate from much better ranked universities.
Marriage for paper should not be your focus as that is risky and expensive too but if you genuinely fall in love with someone without sham arrangement then that is better.
Definitely almost all foreign students plan to stay back and get a job and it’s possible if you graduated with a good result possibly from a good university.
Check if project management is in occupational job shortlist because studying the right course helps that process of staying back after graduation
jtech17: Hello all, please gurus in the house @justwise , legxus and co ... please I need suggestions as well as advice on this travel out matter below I just applied to a university in uk Teesside to be precise and waiting for their admission. I'm applying for msc project management with advanced practice. Though I'm a mechanical engineer and skilled in Swimming pool construction/maintenance as well as domestic plumbing. My plan is never to come back again to naija oo as I'm still single n in my early 30s. I was told that I should get married to a citizen so as to secure my resident either during or after my studies and also try to birth a child to indicate commitment to the marriage. Also I was advised to keep schooling from time to time pending when i obtain my resident status.
The thing is I'm skeptical it would be difficult for me to change visa status because I watched various you tube videos discouraging going to the uk.. I plan to settle down there but videos like this discourages me:
From frankleen.. most of you might have come across such videos.
I plan on changing route to another country as ive not gone far with this uk issue...but i need advises and other peoples opinion on this issue so dat I don't waste the little money I have and end up with had I know.. I want to know how promising the step I'm taking is, I als want to know as a student will I be fully constrained to d 20hrs work thing, can I get a job in my pool line at least starting with maintenance first etc.
For me life after the visa collection and school is more important for me than just getting the visa.
Thanks in anticipation
To start with..why are you not looking for admission in the area you have skills and experience in already?
Can you afford to study in the UK without worrying about fees and rent?
obitryce: Yes my name is on the birth certificate, trying to get the death certificate from her mother's people but they are saying they didn't do one cuz she died on the village when my child was still little. How do I go about it pls?
I guess if she died at the hospital it will be a different case.
Go ahead and apply and explain in her application that her mother is late but that you could not get the death certificate as she died in the village and not at the hospital.
obitryce: Hello @ justwise and co I kindly seek your advice on this issue. For a child born outside wedlock and but lives with her dad who is married due to the death of her biological mother. How does the dad go about processing her documents as part of the dependents going with his legally married wife to study in the UK?
Please note she bears the father's name also.
You can travel with her but do you have death certificate of the mother? If such certificate is issued in Nigeria
Dharmzy370: trading with an account already set up and existing in Nigere
Trading can be regarded as business, i'm sure many foreign students do it and making sure they don't get caught. Basically you need to be careful how you go about it else you will be breaking your student visa rules
lynniebabes: I was told you can pay rent for a long time in a property then later if you want to buy . The rent paid will be minus from the rent paid in previous years and you pay the balance. But I guess it’s council house and it’s for citizens not students
Yes you are right that sound like council house arrangement.
Fk1987: Greetings gurus in the house, Pls I need candid advice..
In 2019 I applied for tourist visa through a desperate agent, here are they following he did on my uk data history. I wasn't married yet, he filled am married with a son dependent to make it look as if I have ties here, secondly he stated av been to south Africa and France but no fake stamp was on my passport, thirdly my parents and I wasn't bearing same surname, he has to use same surname with me to avoid surname discrepancy.. Finally I was denied visa but one of the reasons was immigration history and that the account statement wasn't genuine.
However, am legally married now and my wife is about to travel to UK with study route and I want to apply with her as dependent
Pls how can I go about it? @ justwise and other guru in the house, I need your candid advice. Thank you in anticipation.
Lets not blame only the agent here, he did it for you and you are part of the planning.
That said, you need to start unpacking the lies in your previous application and apologies for it, you can't afford to tell more lies on top of the previous lies.
This is the time to start cleaning up your bad immigration profile and set a clean record of yourself and the family. They can still refuse a visa even after telling the truth this time around but the good thing is that you have nothing else to hid again.
You can apply with your wife or allow her to apply first but the outcome will still be the same whether you applied together or alone because your cases will be treated separately.
I applied for UK tourist visa from Ukraine last year November with reason being that they don't understand how I can be an undergraduate and still foot the bills. And they also do not understand how I arrived at the money.
Now, I want to go for MA program in the UK. My agent said I shouldn't mention to the school about this denial and I didnt. is this a wrong step or I can still right it?
If you are refused a visa because of the previous visa application your school will not refund your deposit because you withheld that info from them. So pray long and hard that you get the visa
oscarpellenchy: Good afternoon gurus in the house, Pls I have a situation at hand that needs your candid advise. After paying tuition fee deposit for my wife and getting ready to receive our CAS from the school as we planned a joint visa application ( wife and I ), it was discovered that the she has an issue with the TB test and was asked to proceed on a test which would take 8-10 weeks...knowing fully well that the TB test result might be late then for September admission. Now I need your advise, can I seek for a refund from her school since we are not sure of the TB test status for now while I proceed with my own admission process ( i already have offers from some schools) and go alone for now ( while other family members wud join me later) or I still defer her admission till after her TB result is out and then proceed from there?...Pls advise....cc Justwise and other gurus...
You can try both..ask for refund if they refused then defer while the TB issues is sorted out.
charming01: Please enlighten me 'cuz I'm confused. On my offer letter, year one was stated to be offered as admission and the amount for tuition deposit stated(4000). It was stated to provide a maintenance fee for 9 months and my tuition balance but going with this your explanation does that mean I am supposed to show balance tuition(both for year 1 and 2) and the maintenance fee would then be for 18-20 months going by this explanation. The school is Teesside University with Advanced Practice.
@justwise @Lagosismyhome @TheHRGuy
Thanks.
You need to show only one year fees and maintenance money
