Il Capitano: Hey don't hurl us all into the public cesspool. Quit generalising. There's something called contentment and another tagged dignity/pride. A few humans possess those virtues. We're not all wide-eyed wealth chasing vultures.
Abeg, sharrap! If you meet a rich attractive woman today, are you telling me you won't marry her because of virtue and bullshyt? Who are you trying to fool? We know nigerian men love the big life, flashy flashy things so shattap!

This idea of marriage is becoming something else. smiley

Anybody can marry.. and not all married women are wifey material.. If I get you pregnant and your parents insist I marry you...does that make you a wifey material...?

...and if you say women are free to express themselves in any form. can we (men) also express ourselves in any form? even if it involves falling for bikini girls..?

A girl ought to respect her man by keeping her body from desperate guys..the body is the only thing you must not share with others (keep your gifts, and rings).
Ok, now you are just being ridiculous. What proof do you have that women who wear bikinis are not 'wifey' material. So, going by your logic a good wife is a woman who doesn't wear bikinis? A good wife is a woman who covers up? Now, mr, does that make sense to you? Is that what marriage is? Can a man tell a woman will be a good wife because when he saw her she was fully cloth?

Abeg, go sit in the corner joor! Wifey material my foot!

As a matter of fact, a good percentage of the ladies you see in these places are young singles looking for real fun...while the males are single/married looking for something to watch for free a.k.a 'fun' [Ask them]

I don't think there is any point answering your question..its like asking... "will non-virgins get married?"

So there is no point dragging this... they'll surely get married, but I don't think a 'responsible' Nigerian man would love to see her babe's bikini pics on nairaland or facebook..

I want to believe you love skimpy wears smiley so why don't you upload one here huh grin
Well, then your whole point is stup!d. You cannot say one is not a wifey material but can marry. If a man doesn't feel like she cannot be a good wife then I doubt he will marry her, therefore, your point is invalid.

And what the hell is 'wifey material'? Oh, just another bullshyt created to devalue women who express themselves in various forms. Any woman who is ready for marriage can be a wife whether they wear skimpy outfits or dress like a nun.

y me: Not really how I love preparing my egusi soup tho, don't like adding veggie to it. but was asked to by a friend (he won a bet so that was his treat grin)
Yme, how much egusi and oil do you have to put in there? I have made it 3 times but it's not usally as white as yours. I'm usually scared to put the whole packet of egusi in.

I'm making egusi today and need recipe on how you made yours.

No.. I didn't say that.
But I believe the body of a WIFE material is not for the public to see but her HUSBAND/MAN alone.

Personally, I do not think I'll like to see my woman in public dressed in such skimpy things..

We love to copy the celebs but we hardly go beyond their dresses.. we want to dress like lady gaga, at the same time, we are everywhere looking for a God fearing man smiley we love the appearances of Rihanna at the same time, we need a responsible and a faithful husband smiley
I think Nigeria is the headquarters of hypocrites. Most of these people we try to copy do not know what a family/marriage look like.. yet my country people want to serve them at the expenses of their relation

Call me archaic or old school, but I do not see any fun in that... Swimming is not an excuse to expose all to the world.

*rolleyes*

So, women who wear bikini to beaches or even in magazines are not going to get married? huh

What about those who are already married? Is it a fake marriage?

FashionRe: African Women And Wigs by kandiikane(mod): 5:21pm On Jan 01, 2013
Frostyzone: You completely misunderstood me. I wasn't implying that it's wrong to look chic and trendy in a westernized fashion, but rather in so doing one shouldn't forget his heritage/African values.
Some of our folks go to extreme measures to imitate the white race, thereby completely neutralizing their identity.
On the subject of extensions, our ancestor might have utilise some, but it was in the form of mere thread fibers, rather than the hair-like fibers favoured by our ladies of nowadays.
So logically speaking, it's not the same thing.
You were right on one thing though. When they do plait their hairs, they do so in an original but trendy manner.
So, are you telling me women these days should wear synthetic fibres which make the extentions look even more fake?

Our ancestors didn't use human hair fibres because then it was not available. If they had human like extensions I am definitely sure they will use that instead. Extentions whether fake or real are worn around the world because the hair is sacred and it's where beauty as they say lies. Wearing weave doesn't mean one wants to be white. It's all part of trends and looking good. You cannot excuse suits and chastise weave wearing.

And how does wearing weave make one forget their African heritage? Is it weave that gives one their heritage? huh Use your brain!

P.s, regarding a comment you made, white people wear extensions all the time.

Dum.b !

You hate going cos there are no free n@ked bodies to watch..

Why should we copy indecency and dress codes from the whites? why don't we copy good things from them..or atleast, the morals from the arab nations...

Honestly, if I see a woman on such skimpy things, Its a great turn on for bedmatics but a NO NO NO No, for marriage! Abi wetin I wan see again wen all the world don see her unclothedness, colour, shape, size and all.

ba7man: I'm not too sure it was what i experienced but I'm sure it wasn't a dream. I was seriously ill that period and it seemed i floated down stairs at night to carry out conversations with unknown people in the dark. It felt so vivid but the door leading downstairs is always locked when everyone goes to bed so that ruled out sleepwalking for me. I don't normally talk about it b'cos i still can't explain what happened.
Yeah, nau many people have had this kind of thing. I get it on a frequent basis. It's not 4D. *raises eyebrow* you experienced sleep paralysis.
