You people think it is everybody in Nigeria that is poor. Some of us can pay for quality healthcare, some of us have comprehensive healthcare packages from our work place...but you know what, we'll pass on that.

The news is littered daily with gross incompetence from Nigerian doctors who have either misdiagnosed or applied wrong treatment regimen in patients leading to deaths and all. Thousands of Nigerians loose their lives yearly to doctors gross incompetence.

The Nigerian doctor is an empty nut head who is more interested in the prestige his Dr tittle accords him/her than getting the job done the right way.

You think your president, lawmakers and wealthy Nigerians who go outside the country for proper healthcare are silly? I won't even go near Nigerian doctors for a simple diagnosis... Incompetent lots

The nigerian system of very limited spaces in medical schools ensures that the most intelligent nigerians alone are able to enter government medical schools.

The empty nut heads you described wont be able to enter medical school and even if they did, they will fail out and not graduate cos the competition is tough.

This is the simple reason Nigerian doctors excel outside. Its because they are most times the best Nigeria has to offer. JAMB and the wish of every parent for their children to be doctors has made sure of that.

So the major problem isnt in the "brain" of "Nigerians" but in the system

The average doctor abroad doesnt need to think too hard to know what your diagnosis is.....he just orders a laundry list of tests and solves the puzzle. The Nigerian doctor has to think and is prone to errors the doctors abroad will easily solve with investigations. Its not a brain problem but a systemic problem.

When Nigerian doctors go abroad they wonder if they are wizards cos they make diagnoses that the white people think only investigations can solve. But its not an issue cos the whites have the facilities and we dont.

I'm a real estate lawyer and by virtue of my job, I've come across different countless kinds of Omoniles. I mean, I have been faced by Omoniles with charms, I once had a disagreement with Omoniles on site only to narrowly escape a terrible accident on my way back to the office, I have had several crazy experiences with Omoniles. Let me give 3.

First one was in Agboyi in Ogudu, Lagos. Client bought a plot of land and wanted to start work. Omonile boys came and said he had to pay them before he starts. They chased off his workers and seized the tools. Then, the Property Protection Law of Lagos wasn't in existence. Client called me and was panicking. I told him to calm down. I met with the Omoniles and bought 2 Schnapps for them. I noticed that their leader was the most quiet one and got his phone number. Over the weekend, I called him and asked him to supply us 4 tipper loads of sand. After that, he personally helped us negotiate with the family from 400k to 50k and we paid it in 2 installments. After that day, we didn't have a problem.

Second one happened late last year. A vast portion of land running into acres was bought by someone for investment and when he wanted to start work, Omoniles brought court summons that they had a lawsuit against the family which sold to him. According to them, my client bought from the wrong family, but they refused to raise this until the elderly man who sold to my client died.

The first meeting I had with them ended up on a rancorous note. On my way back, the driver of my vehicle lost control at high speed. We narrowly escaped somersaulting. After that day, I told the Omoniles to go get a lawyer for me to talk to as I wasn't interested in discussing with them anymore. When they got a lawyer, the first question I asked him was "do you want to make case or make money?". From that point, we found a way to resolve it.

The third one, the Omoniles resold a land they initially sold to my client. I got the Baale arrested and promised to write a petition to the State Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs that he should be removed from office. I don't know how he did it but my client got his land back and 3 plots extra as compensation.

Omoniles require diplomacy, strong hand, generosity and street smartness in dealing with them. Once they see that you're not afraid and if they mess up, you'll deprive them of getting money. They would avoid getting into your bad books.

In all this article runs a very big risk of destroying the concept of love....for one i think it misleads ladies into thinking the guy that doesnt spend much doesnt love them......i disagree...

The guy that doesnt spend much just isnt trying to impress or get her attention..... he may be stingy, he may feel he already has her attention, or he may be smart enough to know that you cant get or keep a girl with money cos u are not the richest guy in the room......it doesnt mean he doesnt love her

A man who spends on a girl gets attached not because his emotions are in the money but because letting go means wasting so much investment......He holds on so he doesnt loose not because of emotions....
