hi all, I am looking at getting a loan to buy shares. Do you guys think it might be late now? Please advise. ![]() |
When I was around six years old, I was shown a small metal gong which I considered clean. I was told that when the time came for me to start talking, it was discovered that i was a near convoluting stutterer! My mum said it was very embarrasing even though many of my older siblings stuttered so, somebody advised her to get the gong and make sure I used it to drink water. At that age, I could not imagine the level of my stuttering that could have warranted that because I was no longer stuttering though it still runs in the blood. Now at full adulthood, you would never notice I stutter unless I combust. I have managed to get over it even though I still have challenges if I rush consonant-rich words. So brother, slow down your speech rate and see how better you will become. Read a passage to yourself and record it (most phones now have recorders). Play it back and see how you never imagined you sound! Just relaxing will not completely do the magic. Learn to pick your words one at a time patiently. I had an uncle (Sam) who talked so very slowly you would think he was speech impared or something. Later, I discovered that was the only way he could overcome his almost handicapping stammering! My dad told me that Sam lived with him when he was young. His stammering was soo much that when he wakes up in the morning and comes out to greet my dad, he would struggle with the greeting so much that my dad would simply reply "morning", just to save Sam the stress. But he overcame it by learning how to greatly slow down on his speech speed. Unfortunately, all of Sam's children less one, stammer! I am not saying you should use gong. Just try and slow down and see how this works. Good luck ![]() |

These days when somebody dies, the bereaved mourn not only due to the loss but the seeming high cost of burials. You see the family having series of fund raising meetings. They prefer you send money to even attending the burial. We put ourselves in unecessary pressure because we are trying to meet 'standards'. No matter what we spend, the deseased is deseased! Its funny when you attend funerals and you see people scampering for food/drinks . Some communities in the Eastern part of our country have banned elaborate ceremonies during burial. One stipulates that if you must 'refresh' attendees, then it must be agege bread! That goes to show how people have suffered concerning high burial costs. To me, the only time burial could be celebrated is if the deseased is very old - not less than 85 years. |

BLINGLAJ:Project management involves much more than project accounting. Absolutely, you dont need PM accreditation/credential to be a project accountant because they are two different things. PMgt involves planning/directing/executing/managing projects so a supposed project accountant should work with the direction of the PMger. PMgt is career neutral so you can go into it provided some level of technicality sits well with you but, please know that accounting and PMgt might not readily recognise each other in the dark. I advise you follow up and finish your ACCA first before going into PM. ![]() I hope this helps. |

There is nothing wrong registering now but please be ready before you site for the exam (though you can always reschedule). Start with the PMBOK - try and go through it twice and then you should be able to appreciate other materials like Crosswind. I have not been able to confirm if the passmark has been reviewed upwards. I only know that the PMBOK 4 will soon subsume the PMBOK 3. The draft is being reviewed currently and will soon be published so, make hay. |

The irony if it is that most women think that a man opening a door for a woman is not 'cool' They feel he is a 'mumu'. That is the paradox with women ![]() |

Please check their websites. If you are not able to draw up an effective conclusion, then let me know. ![]() |
Are you registering for the exam when you have not taken the preparatory class? Or am I missing something? Remember one of the rules - you must document 35hr PMP exam preparatory contact before you can sit for the exam. Cheers. |
I want to learn this language! Please, who can help me? |
BTT:Word! I wonder what sombody in Salford Manchester will do about this situation? Kingdom does not work against itself!! What a signature!! @chaoga, NEVER YOU CALL NEO as he has nothing to offer. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you. Talk to God, your pastor, police, and school authority. Dont let them scare you because they are looking for cheap security. |
@All, We all know where he is headed but the reactions are a little harsh. Nothing stopped me from 'interpreting' that but I knew it would be vulgar hence, my initial post. It is a free world and we should learn to accomodate each other. Lets take it a little easy. @Uche, that was x-rated so, don't expect a decent response from prim Igbos. This forum is meant to promote cultural values, ok? ![]() |
