Patrioticman007:
Truth is bitter, PMB has failed Nigerians thats for those who love him, however the blame should be shared evenly on Nigerians too, for our tribal & nepotistic sentiments are the major cause of our circular growth. Imagine associations such as CAN aka cankerous of worms & Muric aka mumuism should not have power of imposing political candidates on Nigerian, but they do because we vote for fake religious candidates not technocrats with political experience.
While GEJ failed, one thing that kept the country from falling the way it is today is that he was human.
Buhari's greatest problem is that he is naturally a wicked soul. When you combine wickedness and leadership failure, the result is catastrophic failure we see today.
He is not the only leader that failed but he is the only leader that has failed in ways one can never imagine.
In 2023, I expect Nigerians to not only vote for people with capacity and intelligence to lead but to vote for people with humanity and conscience in them. Buhari should have taught every Nigerian a lesson
PoliticsRe: Buhari: How Nigeria Recorded Biggest Economic Growth In Six Years by Kenn55: 4:57pm On Aug 31, 2021
See how the writer twisted the data.

Nigeria recorded economic growth. Yes but...

Let's see the deceit in the statement.

Let say you were on level 10 two years ago and fell to level 3 last year. This year, you are now on level 6. This means you have recorded a 100% growth from last year to this year.

However, compared to 2 years ago, you are declining. This is a lay man explanation of the growth Buhari is touting to deceive illiterates like himself.

I wander what our brothers from the east would have been saying if The CBN Governor is a Yoruba Muslim huh It would have been worst if is a Muslim from the North... The shout of quota system will fill 2-3 pages grin

Emefiele is a disaster just like GMB.
We all agree Emefiele is a disaster. However, there is a limit to which a CBN governor can do to prop up the currency no matter who he is.
There is a strong correlation between economic growth and strength of currency.

When ya economy is going down with high debt to revenue ratio and crazy inflationary pressure, the currency will go down, there is no magic about it. The executive should as a matter of urgency go back to the drawing board to craft out strategies to revive the economy instead of fighting for cows.

One problem with Emefiele is that he is doing his job unprofessionally. He has become a yes man to the executive instead being independent. Some of the actions he has taken to help the executive made the problem worse and he knows it but he has to play nice. He is an idiot.

...... E be like say I don dey reason Joe Biden as anti Christ..... If you didn't have plans of taking these vehicles out of the country, why did you announce troops withdrawal? People wen no get sense na im you leave this amount of arms for them? I think the afgan people should hold Joe Biden responsible for what's going on in Afghanistan..... He's secretly supporting their take over and rule... Probably, he's made a back room deal with them that the world doesn't know about..... If not... I don't understand how you say you're packing out of a rented house and you leave most of your valuable properties behind..... Who does that?!
Was he supposed to take the weapons out of the country before or after withdrawal?
These are equipment given to Afghan army to defend their country. If he took it out, what would the Afghan army use to fight?

You guys forget that Afghanistan had an army that was supposed to defend the country but chose not to. How is it Biden's fault.

If the Afghan army had fought with these equipment and stopped the Taliban, these equipment would have been in the hands of Afghan army .

The truth is that there is just a thin line between Islamic terrorists and ordinary muslims who claim not be terrorists so it is not surprising to me that the Afghan army surrendered to their friends.

Both the Afghan army and Taliban used America to play ludo and if America has not learnt their lessons not to ever trust these Islamic people whether terrorists or no terrorists then their mumu na first class.

No Taliban didn't steal the weapons. It was left for them by Joe Biden and his partners in crime. No sane president on earth will evacuate the way Biden did and leave behind high tech weapons for the enemy. They'll either evacuate all the weapons or destroy them as the need may be.
No one leave behind weapons for the enemy. The entire world will reap the consequences of Biden's disastrous Afghanistan evacuation plan.
How is it Biden's fault? Is Biden the Afghan soldiers that had no will to fight?

These are equipment given to Afghan army to ensure they can defend the country from Taliban and they ended up handing the equipment to the Taliban exactly the strategy in Northern Nigeria.

If America left the Afghan army without equipping them with sufficient weapons and Taliban overrun them, the question would have been why did America not sufficiently equip the Afghan army?

At the end of the day, those equipment does not threaten America itself, it threatens the unfortunate Afghans but why should America even care for people who subscribe to a religion that is incompatible with civilization?

In fact , America is stupid.

The day we acknowledged the facts that neocolonialism is the cause of the rise in terrorism in the 3rd world countries, that's when we will be free.

Imagine the west purposely killed Mamar Gaddafi just to have access to Libyan crude oil, forgetting the stability that Gaddafi is providing to North Africa up & west Africa down its borders.

Now that they have control over the crude oil but are yet to take control of the A class weapons that are been smuggled into Nigeria, Mali, Chad, Niger & Cameroon as a result of the civil war these European Christians sponsored due to their greed.

Imagine Bororo's are using anti aircraft weapons to shoot down planes & security agents.
Stay there and be looking for the west to blame.

If the people involved in the back and forth fight are not ready to stop which they are all Afghans, what then can US do?

Must Usa be the one to be keeping peace forever in Afghanistan?
Thank you. I don't know what they want America to do. Stay in Afghanistan for another 20 years? The result will still be the same.
Afghan military total surrender without a fight shows they are even sympathetic to Taliban.
Any country that does not like how America pulled out should send their army to fight people who are mad.

His personal opinion is irrelevant if the majority in the group decide otherwise.

When I was in school, I had cause to defend lecture boycott decided upon by the Congress when I personally felt it was unjustifiably instigated by those we called ‘professional students’ but I had to do my duty that I was elected for.
Bros, let's just say an injustice was done to your own family directly, will you defend it as the spokesman of your organization cos that's what they want or will you resign in protest?

Don't forget that nobody or organization can force you do things against your will. That is why there is something called resignation

However, this is an overreaction. Leaders should learn how to focus on important issues and look away from petty issues.
Whether he wish him dead or not does not in anyway make any difference. They would have just ignored him.
Is it because he was caught saying it? There are a lot of them even in Buhari's own cabinet that share the same sentiment but would praise and love him in public.

I knew you will bring up other kidnapping that happened recently. The difference you failed to see is that, unlike 2015, most of those kidnappings were either foiled or the kidnapped people are retrieved . Also, the motive behind recent kidnappings is not terrorism but rather for financial gain and the kidnappers are mostly bandits which is different from terrorism activities of Boko Haram. I am also not interested in wasting my time on unnecessary argument but just wanted to put things in the right perspective especially for others who might be interested in the truth and not political wailing or emotional blackmail.
My friend, insecurity is insecurity whether kidnapping for profit or for terror. Maybe your sister or mother should be kidnapped by bandits since they mean nothing to you.

You see how stupid some of you are. In a bid to defend the indefensible, you ended up making an exception to banditry and indirectly defending them. Shame on you.
Btw, I won't reply you again. I'm done with you.

Security situation is definitely better than 2014. Kidnapping of Chibok girls readily
comes to mind and it takes this administration to recover some of the girls where the previous admin could not do much. I dont share your views. Whoever is using insecurity news to define their country is definitely blackmailing the country hence the comparison to USA. Nobody defines USA situation with the huge number of gun violence. I dont expect you to agree with me and neither should you expect me to share yours. We have large numbers of people that share either views.
Bros, while I don't want unnecessary argument, I must not fail to show my amusement on your assertions.

You brought up Chibok girls, then the question to you is how many more chibok girls style abductions have happened since 2015? Oh! Probably in your mind, those school kids abductions never happened or the kidnappers are playing with the children.

If you cannot fear man, make una fear God oooo. These are people's children and families oooo.

deji17:
You failed to see the reason for making the comparison. What we are saying is that despite the large number of casualties due to gun violence in the USA, US citizens are not using the staggering number to blackmail their country. With all the US resources, they still have these huge number, not to talk of a country like Nigeria with similar Presidential system but smaller revenue to fight insecurity.
Aside the attempts to blackmail the country, any unbiased person will admit that security situation has improved since 2014 when bombs used to go up in Abuja and other places. When people cannot freely go to church because of suicide bombers. When many local govt were directly under the control of Boko Haram, over 6,000 killed in a year and millions turned to IDP's.
After many years of neglect, Nigeria is currently investing in security and other critical, physical infrastructure that will improve security.
First of all, who is blackmailing their country? Pointing out the security situation is now blackmailing the country? You just want people to say things are alright when the reality is opposite?
Guy, Nigeria insecurity is worse now than 2014 if you want to tell yourself the truth. Aren't you seeing the carnage that is going on in the middle belt and north?
Bombs not going off in Abuja does not tell the story. It is possible that boko haram decided to change strategy. Ask yourself if boko haram wants to bomb anywhere, what will stop them? Which one is more difficult? Kidnapping hundreds of school children at once or sneaking and detonating bombs around.
Let us pray that boko and their fulani brothers don't return to bombing strategy cos they can easily do that if they so desire.
Btw, boko haram is still controlling territories in the north.

More people die in the USA every year due to gun violence and they spend multiple fold on defence and internal security. Yet nobody is blackmailing their country with the numbers.

2020 was the deadliest gun violence year in decades. So far, 2021 is worse. Gun-related deaths from preventable, intentional, and undetermined causes totaled 39,707 in 2019, nearly flat from 39,740 deaths in 2018.

Mourners at a memorial for the 10 people killed in a mass shooting at a Boulder, Colo., grocery store. The March rampage is part of what’s been an especially deadly year for gun violence, one experts fear will only get worse. (Rachel Woolf for The Washington Post)
By Reis Thebault
The shootings have come at a relentless pace. Gun violence this year has cut through celebrations and funerals, places of work and houses of worship. It has taken lives at a grocery store and in a fast-food drive-through lane.

And most of all, it has unfolded on city streets and in family homes, away from the cameras and far from the national spotlight.

By almost every measure, 2021 has already been a terrible year for gun violence. Many fear it will get worse. Last weekend alone, more than 120 people died in shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive, with three especially dangerous incidents in Austin, Chicago and Savannah, Ga., leaving two dead and at least 30 injured.

Through the first five months of 2021, gunfire killed more than 8,100 people in the United States, about 54 lives lost per day, according to a Washington Post analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit research organization. That’s 14 more deaths per day than the average toll during the same period of the previous six years.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/06/14/2021-gun-violence/
Shall Nigeria be a killing field because the US has a gun violence problem? What of other countries that don't have that problem? Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland etc.
Gun violence in America is not surprising, I expect the rate to be higher than what it is now. America is a country where owning guns are legal. In fact, it is enshrined in the constitution. Anyone can walk into a gun shop and buy a gun. In fact in some states you can openly carry our guns around. Despite the gun violence, Americans still want to have their guns.
Guns are illegal in Nigeria for civilians so why is the insecurity so alarming? I don't know why some of you guys are quick to compare bad things in other countries to justify your own bad things but will never use the good things in those countries to compare your own.

Go and start organizing your party, activists, supporters to start preparing for how to take over the leadership of Nigeria in 2023 and stop all these childish protest that only end up imprisoning a few people for no reason.
I don't like Gen Buhari but I know no amount of protest can force him to resign as the president of Nigeria,my vote is my power.
You don't seem to understand the meaning of these protests. Buhari must go protest does not necessarily mean they want him to resign, that will never happen and I want to believe the protesters know exactly that. I think it just a way of expressing their grievances and putting pressure on him to sit up.
