Nigeria seems to be a country of looters from the President to the protesters on the street |
awulio:After your anger, did you behead anyone? Did you protest on the streets? Did you attack anyone? Did you not allow God to fight for himself? Someone needs to make these idiots understand that they should either accept the right of free speech in the west or they go back to their Islamic countries. I don't even understand why they keep trooping to the west knowing fully well that their religion is not compatible with the western culture. If France should ban all Muslim countries now from entering France or stop giving citizenship to Muslims now, they would start crying. Did you notice that they never condemned the beheading? |
donnie:I disagree. All the destructions in every state is done by the people of that state. It is absolutely impossible for non indigenes to be at the forefront of destruction in another state. Every state has their own hoodlums and these guys are not loyal to voice of reason. They can destroy anything after all their own lives are a mess so what do they have to loose? Hoodlums have no future so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they are capable of burning their states. Wetin concern them? |
Akwa Ibom too don join? It seems hoodlums in every state are now competing to show their ruggedity. This seems now to be a battle of which hoodlum rugged pass. Too bad |
The probability of Nigeria getting better as a country is 0.00001% The reason is that there are far too many unreasonable people coupled with unreasonable leaders who will ensure that nothing works and the status quo remains. There will never be a time when things including protests will go on smoothly and achieve the required result as expected. Too bad |

Are you sure these ones are gay or they want to use style to seek asylum abroad. The next thing they will do is to tell the embassy that they are now being hunted after they revealed themselves. At least this will give them the picture evidence to back up their claim. Nigerians can do anything to migrate. ![]() |
chiefolododo:Make no mistake bros, I am not fighting you. Like you said, I want to understand in clear terms what political structure means. I am not a politician and you shouldn't be surprised I don't know what it means. If you can explain it with clear examples, that would be helpful. Thanks |
chiefolododo:I keep hearing this word "Political structure" in Nigerian politics. What exactly is political structure? Is it people who snatch ballot boxes or burn ballot boxes in opposition strongholds like they ones we saw in Lagos 2019? I thought to win an election, you need to convince people to vote for you. Is it the political structure that would convince the people? Please if you understand this issue very well, you can explain to me. I'm open to learning new things. Thanks |
Nigerians have a unique character. The elites and political class do not want to share any space with the average Nigerian. This is why they do not value anything in Nigeria no matter how good it is. The set of people who can afford to patronize these places will always prefer to go abroad and snap their pictures, put it on Instagram and bloggers will blog with caption "XYZ spotted in London", "XYZ holidaying in Atlanta" etc They are happy because the common man cannot go to London and Atlanta. Imagine if the elites and political class patronize these places and help popularize it, "XYZ spotted in Obudu Mountain Resort", Instead of Buhari going to London for vacation as he used to, the caption will be "Buhari vacations at Obudu Mountain Resort". The average people will start getting attracted and seeing value in these places. At least they can save and vacation there even if it is for one night. The knowledge that Nigerian big boys and girls also vacation there will bring in a lot of the ordinary people which will make it boom. But unfortunately, the Nigerian elites will never go to places where there are possibilities of sharing spaces with the ordinary Nigerians. In Nigeria, class is everything. Carry this exact Obudu Mountain Resort and put it in say Europe or America, you will how Nigerians will start going there and snapping pictures for people in Nigeria to see and salivate. ![]() |
Useless people. A confirmed thief like Ganduje is supporting a candidate and they expect to win the election? Do they think Edo people are idiots? |
I wish Nigeria or any other black owned country is at the forefront of making things happen and solving the world's pressing issues but............ It would have been a thing of pride to all black people all over the world. |
roteblomen:The only reason why I would not discourage you from moving back to Nigeria is because of the fact that you have option and you are young. If Nigeria was your "Last card", I would have discouraged you. The good thing is that even if things don't work as planned, you have the option of starting afresh in Germany. The Nigerian business climate is not for the weak and morally upright. I have run business in Nigeria, I can tell you this for a fact. Nigeria will test you to the limit. I know of some Diaspora returnees that have since left Nigeria after they gave up. If you have done your feasibility studies properly and convinced about it, you can give it a try. You could be one of the lucky few who made it happen. Good luck bro |
Another name for Nigerian elections should be called WAR. Instead of saying 2020 Elections, we say 2020 WAR. For instance, He is being nominated as a flag bearer for the 2023 WAR. Too bad |
For Iran mind now they are fighting for Palestine. If they are fighting injustice for the Muslims why did they keep mute on the treatment of Uighur Muslims in China. Those ones are not Muslim enough? Or because they are in bed with China so they closed their eyes to the issue Apart from Metsul Ozil of Arsenal, how many people in the Muslim world have given a shit about the plights of Uighur Muslims? But they would talk about Palestine because it involves Israel and it suits their agenda. By the way, i am not supporting Israel, I am just highlighting the hypocrisy of some of these Islamic nations |
It seems that politicians in Nigeria worry more about visa ban than any other thing. One would have though that they would have damned the US. Na waa ooo |
story story story. Once upon a time, time time ![]() |
Enice:k |
Enice:Do you have a farm? Do you know the problem of farmers? This would have been a good policy if the first things were done. What are those things? 1. Keep herdsmen in ranches. Do you know the amount of crops and lives of farmers that have been lost to herdsmen? I know some farmers who have quit farming because they can't continue to risk their lives and suffering loses going to farm. The number of Farmers are reducing instead of increasing 2. Support large scale mechanized farming. Majority of farming in Nigeria is still at the subsistence level. We need an agricultural policy and road map that turns agriculture into an enterprise covering the entire value chain 3. Ensure the country is self sufficient on food production. Right now, Nigeria is not self sufficient in food production as a result of the first 2 above. What will this policy do? Most food importers will no longer import. Since Nigeria is not yet self sufficient Food prices will skyrocket. Why? Demand will outstrip supply. The govt is betting on people being forced to farm. However, you can't force people to go into farming when it is dangerous out there. The simplest thing the govt would have done is to ban herdsmen from roaming around and make farmers feel safe. They are not willing to do that due to their own selfish agenda and they think they can force farmers to farm. In fact the govt is not serious at all. At the end, the poor suffers. |

After all, do the govt officials patronize local hospitals? Do they care about the hospitals? Common man don suffer for Nigeria chai. Too bad |
What i don't understand in this travel section is how some people take this abroad thing too personal to the extent that they look like they have something eating them up internally. What exactly is the problem? That Nigerians should not migrate? Nigerians in diaspora should come back? If Nigerians are slaves and not recognized abroad like some people say, whose business is it? Why would someone take it personal when he himself is a king in Nigeria and not affected? We all want Nigeria to be great but how is Nigerians abroad or aspiring to migrate the problem of the country. Someone would just be worrying over the 'slave' status of Nigerians abroad as if it affects him instead of channeling their energy to the real people who are the problem of Nigeria. If you love Nigeria, then channel your criticism to those guys that have made Nigeria bleeped up. They are in Abuja and all the 36 states capital in Nigeria. As it stands Nigerians in diaspora are even contributing to Nigeria more than those idiots. Nigerians in diaspora remitted $17.5 billion to Nigeria in 2019 alone https://nairametrics.com/2020/01/11/nigeria-receives-17-5-billion-diaspora-remittances-in-2019/ These are monies from cleaning jobs, washing dead bodies, uber driving, factory workers, doctors, engineers, nurses etc but the so called people who should make Nigeria better take Nigeria's money oversees. For example, how much of Nigeria's money has Buhari and his families remitted to the Europe through medical tourism? Instead of some of you to appreciate Nigerians abroad, you keep on talking nonsense. |
Why is Africa at the bottom of everything? This is too embarrassing. Too bad |
This is why Nigeria will never make progress as a nation. There is never a national interest, it is all ethnic and tribal interest This is even better for the south. If they can extend this division to other things, it makes disintegration of this unworkable entity called Nigeria is easier |
@Op, i don't know how old you are. If you are old enough, look back at Nigeria in 2000, look at Nigeria in 2010, Look at Nigeria today then with that pattern, see how Nigeria will be in 2030 etc. That lies your answer. For people who come from shitholes like Nigeria, having a second citizenship or permanent residence in a sane country is never a bad investment. It is very risky to have Nigeria as your only country. Even your politicians and your big men know this. Their children all have options Immigration is getting tougher now. If you have what it takes to migrate legally, do it now because in the years to come it is going to be worse. I know someone who had all it takes to legally migrate in 2015 but was carried away with 500k salary, he is regretting it now. If he needed 3m then to make the move then, he now needs 6m to make the same move now. Naira is losing value. Sadly, The value of 500k of today is like 250k of 5 years ago. So if you were earning say 250k 5 years ago and you are earning 500k today, you are still almost at the same spot. However, i must warn that if you do not have what it take to make a legitimate immigration move, it is better to stay in Nigeria. In fact, in this case, Nigeria would be better than abroad. Don't go with visit visa and expect to maneuver your way, sorry will be your name and you go suffer tire and you will regret it. I don't support this craze of traveling by all means getting more prevalent in Nigeria now. I understand the country is getting worse but it is still better for people who can't migrate legally to remain in Nigeria than getting themselves into a bigger mess abroad. Btw, by abroad, i mean first world countries because no be all abroad na abroad. |
What exactly is Messi's problem sef? That he lost 8-2 to Bayern or he didn't win a trophy this season? Is he the first superstar to lose badly? I expect that whenever he would leave Barcelona, he would will leave on a good note not with acrimony with the club. Without Barca, he wouldn't have been this successful. Afterall, what has he won with Argentina all these years? When there was Xavi and Iniesta making the club super and he was the one taking the glory, why didn't he complain. Does he think players like Xavi and Iniesta will always be there forever. Is not as if Barca is not buying top players, Barca has spent millions on top football stars. Griezman was Athlethico best player when bought, Coutinho was one of Liverpool Best players etc. What does Messi want? Football success comes in cycle. You don't win all the time even with the best players. What a grateful player would have done would be to galvanize the club and bring them back to winning ways and now leave. He started playing in Barca's first team when Barca was winning during the time of Ronaldinho and Eto, he now wants to leave when they are down. It took Real Madrid more than 10 years to start winning the champions league again after 2002 despite all their stars. There is no guarantee that he would keep winning wherever he goes so why tarnish your Barca legacy at a time when he should be working to bring back the club to top glory. Look at the eye watery amount he has made from the club, look at the collection of trophies he has won through the club. The going gets rough, he starts whining and behaving like the club owe him something. I used to think Messi was humble and passionate about Barcelona, i didn't know he was like most footballers, greedy and self centered. |
ahiboilandgas:Loool ![]() At some point, i thought i was reading a joke from a comedian on facebook. Una no go kee person ooo ![]() |
ahiboilandgas:Nigeria does not subsidize anything at least not for the people. The fees in Nigeria are low due to the low purchasing power of Nigeria as a country. You cannot expect people who earn 200k per month to pay 1m per term for school fees for their kids. If you make the fees at par with what is obtained in the developed world, who will attend it? You will have to introduce student loans to make it work but Nigeria does not have the structure to do things like that. Even if you make the fees high, judging by what we know about Nigeria, the quality will be no where near what is obtainable abroad because of the acute corruption in the country. The solution is to develop the country and make it work for all. If the country is developed to the standard of the west, the role of money in the everyday life of the people will diminish. People will not necessarily earn high but they would be more comfortable with their lives. The country should get their priority right. Whether subsidized or not, there is no way a politician should earn more than a doctor. From the executive to the Legislators, what have they done to deserve being paid sef? The country is getting worse under their leadership yet the are making millions and billions but the people who are saving lives are struggling |
How much are they paying the recipients? Is it up to 100K? and is it permanent? |
Too bad. @op stop wasting your time, Nigerians are not ready to think about the country and its future. When the usual guys come now, they will read the article and the only thing that would matter to them is fishing out those who love or hate buhari. |
AnanseK:Our standards as a people is just too low. Building infrastructures here and there is no big deal. Even an idiot can do it. What would be a big deal if it is massive for example, covering the whole Nigeria with high speed rail so that people can travel from Lagos to Abuja etc in say 3 hours. If what Femi is saying is the bar set for leadership then every idiot that has ruled Nigeria both at state and National level has done well. Even the worst governor in the history of humanity like Thief T.A Orji of Abia State would have also done well cos he built some infrastructures here and there. IBB built Third Mainland bridge, Abacha built some infrastructures, Obj and even Jonathan have some infrastructures built under their tenure so what exactly is the big deal here? Let us not even forget that these projects costs are inflated and it is one of the best avenues for corruption for politicians Talking about hate, what exactly is the big deal about hating someone? Why do we like brandishing the word "Hate" to divert attention and shield ourselves from scrutiny? Is there any country in the world apart from say North Korea and China where the president is loved by everyone? Does hating the president prevent him from delivering good leadership? Let us assume the entire east hates the president, does it stop the president from stopping the killings by bandits, Fulanis and boko haram in the country? Is it why a bag of rice has not gone below what it was in 2015? Is it why unemployment is still high since 2015? Is it why corruption is still high? Is it why nothing is working in the country? If we all love Buhari and sing his praises like North Koreans what exactly will it change? The likes of Femi wants you guys to close your eyes to the most important things and instead keep chasing frivolities and irrelevant things that did not help Nigeria yesterday, that is not helping Nigeria today and will never help Nigeria tomorrow and you guys are falling for it |
