I'm of the opinion that people never fully recover from psychological/psychiatric disorders like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia etc. They can go into remission after therapy but there's always that chance that they can have spells of "madness" when triggered.

It is truly pathetic. That is why I have resolved never to be in his shoes. I am not going to toil all my life to give my wife vacations in London and put my children at her instigation in posh $2000 per term schools, so that I can end up like him. His wife has been in the States with her grown children who have never invited their father to my knowledge. I never saw him pick a phone call from the wife and children that he squandered his money and youth on. Another old pensioner neighbour is constantly being ridiculed by his loud wife because he can no longer bring home the cash. If you see how this once proud man is broken, you will pity him. If not for the fact that he owns the house and the shop which she uses to sell stuff, I am sure that his wife would have left him since.

Is that the kind of companionship you wish for me? No thanks. Forget that nonsense about smiling old married couples vacationing in Hawaii. It's a myth.

I just picture the emboldened and I can't just imagine how broken that man was. Just sad. I'm also sure he's gonna be blamed for the predicaments he found himself in because "he failed to bond with his children" and has spent the entire time hustling to make money just so wifey could be comfortable and the children could have great education and a good shot at the good life (which they eventually did, at his expense, of course).

But to hell with him, he wasn't at home to bond with the kids so no calls for him and he deserves to be alone, the monster.

I literally read these sorts of stories and much worse in a number of sub Reddits almost on a daily basis and I cringe. How fvcking dumb were those western men that they create laws which essentially make cats and dogs have more rights than them in a society they create with their sweat and blood.

Kinda don't feel sorry for them . No sympathy for simps and white Knights and I only visit those forums if I want a laugh.

Not getting enough sleep (6-8 hours) is very unhealthy and one is likely to pay for that in their older years (if not immediately. My day is usually less productive if I don't get at least 6 hours of sleep the night before)

Op, you can get good, quality sleep by changing your lifestyle; avoid caffeinated beverages, reduce alcohol consumption, engage in exercise, meditation and avoid heavy meals like eba in the evenings. If the insomnia persists, you should see your doctor to rule out any possible underlying cause and probably place you on sleeping pills.

The importance of sleep to ones health can never be overemphasized, trust me.

I really can't wrap my head around how people that can barely get by are having more than 3 children.

They keep saying it's God that gives children and that God would take care of them but they then hand over these children to relatives who abuse them at any chance they get. Like that woman who WWEed a ten year old girl.

It really really breaks my heart to see children not having the basic necessities of life because of the dumb decisions of their parents.
