Quite an unfortunate situation. She needs urgent support by the government & well meaning Nigerians. I hope she had insurance cover for her investment. She needs our prayers. I pray that God should help her to restore all she has lost. |
Racoon:You're uncultured to call the VP a disgrace. It shows you lack manners & probably don't know how the system is operated in Nigeria. |
Nigerians are generally nonchalant & wasteful. Why travel to Lagos when there is travel restriction? That's indiscipline. Why travel abroad just for bed rest? That's wastage of funds. |
Quite a bad time to lose officers. May their souls rest in peace. I wish the injured officers speedy recovery. The Police Headquarters should not delay in releasing funds for treatment of injured officers & compensations to families of the deceased. |
Bekool:Are you trying to say the woman's hands are clean. She can equally stage manager events to attract public sympathy. Instead of accounting for funds spent under her administration she is blabbing. How can Akpabio blow pipelines? Do pipelines pass through his village, foolish woman. This is one of the reasons Nigerian women don't do well in politics. They are too emotional & most times think from their anus. |
obembet:Amaechi is from Ikwerre LGA. The pastor should get in touch with him. He will talk to his people to mellow down. |
Ezmans:A big lie. The quality of transmission, packaging & shows latest movies compared to StarTimes & MyTv. |
Her virginity should not be an issue. Was she raped, if yes, blood fluids: semen etc., hairs should be taken for DNA analyses to see if it matches that of the suspects. We needs results not rhetorics. |
The North is interested in the PDP Presidential ticket. Therefore, the PDP Chairmanship position should be Zoned to the South, preferably the South West. |
9jaArea:Were you not in this country when these same people were in the opposition & they frustrated the effort of the GEJ government to purchase arms. Then, they claimed BH were their brothers & the FG wanted to purchase weapons to kill their people. |
The Governor has misplaced priority. Creating additional Emirates is a waste of government resources. The Kano Emirate has an ancestral heritage that should be preserved for the sake of posterity. I think it is wrong to politicize serious traditional issues. |
The Minister has lost touch with reality. He's no longer the man he used to be. Just travelled to Abuja from Jalingo through Yola. The journey to Yola = 150Km too me about 4 hours. The potholes on the road was uncountable. Saw several broken down vehicles, no ambulances on the road & a lot of people stranded. |
Misplaced priority! |
witsel4:Universities cannot be autonomous when the government appoints the VCs & pays the staff. ASUU is insincere about their objection to IPPIS. A lot of them have multiple full time jobs in different universities. The personnel cost is padded with a lot of ghost workers through with funds are looted. |
The guy is a flop. He doesn't speak like somebody that is married nor knows what a relationship means. He needs more exposure & interaction sessions with more matured people. |
My concern with this operation is the likely undue harassment of drivers & travellers on the highway; payment of illegal toll fees & wasting of time. On the other hand, most of the illegal immigrants causing havoc are not difficult to identify. Some cannot speak any Nigerian language fluently. Unfortunately, some of them are moving freely in several parts of the country without anybody accosting them. |
The lady is very foolish. People are glamouring for more women involvement in politics & this lady who is just a Local Government Council Chairman might have unwittingly ended her political career due to thuggery, intolerance to criticism & lack of transparency. What's the wisdom in buying a SUV for a traditional ruler but refuse to pay students bursary allowances. This attitude is what is drawing us backwards. The lady is uncultured, ill mannered & myopic. She has nothing to offer her people. |
amunkita03:Let's get it right. You said IPPIS was designed for civil servants, isn't it? Are lecturers not civil servants? Are some of them not employees of government. |
Despite its shortcomings, the IPPIS payment platform is still the best presently. The best ASUU can do is to develop an alternative payment platform that can correct the shortcomings in IPPIS. Our administrators are fraudulent & a lot of them feed on ghost workers salaries, underpayment of staff & giving multiple appointments to their cronies. Lecturers in public institutions are employees of government & the institutions funded by government & the VCs appointed by the Visitors to the institutions; so the issue of autonomy does not make sense. Finally, the academics are the catalysts that induce development in any society. They should be at the forefront of policy formations, critical thinking & life changing innovations & researches. Unfortunately in Nigeria they are not celebrated nor properly motivated. To become a Prof. & become a politician - VC, electoral officer etc. is now the dream of a lot of academics. The universities need reformation. |
May her soul continue to rest in the bossom of the Lord Nigeria needs dedicated citizens who are ready to serve the country selflessly. She was a good example of a patriotic & selfless citizen. The least the Federal Government can do for her is a posthumous national merit award. |
mumu9gerian:Don't understand the 6 weeks annual leave stuff, is she a public servant? |
Good decision. PMB should also prone down the size of his kitchen cabinet. He should dislodge the likes of Mamman Daura & others who've no active role in government from Aso Rock. |
This Minister is not in touch with his people. He's not speaking based on facts. Leadership is a scam in Nigeria. |
Heffalump:In saner climes, heads would've rolled & the President would've apologized. In Nigeria anything goes. We're still far from civilization. |
Dpharisee:Where was Afenifere doing the elections. Medicine after death. Why are they crying wolf now? They have not lived up to their expectation. |
9jahotblog:Wrong notion. Appendicitis is not caused by stones in rice but commonly by fecoliths, helminths & infections. |
imexg:He's stated the information about the pregnancy. What advice do you have for him? |
Abortion laws in Nigeria are restrictive & your situation is not an indication. Indicated in conditions that can compromise a woman's life or if the foetus has gross anomalies not compatible with life. Your wife should eat well, register for antenatal & continue to breast the baby. As the pregnancy advances breast milk will stop flowing & the baby should be weaned. After delivery, she should be on an appropriate contraceptive; preferably an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) or an intradermal implant. |
This man is a political jobber. To them restructuring & true federalism is equivalent to austerity measures & political oblivion. They're lucky, a section of the county ties their political destiny to them. For now options are limited. We should brace up for more assaults. |
omenka:The absence of a political leader in the calibre of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolobi is the nemesis of the South West. In view of the disastrous perfomance of the APC, the South West leaders should apologize to their people & Nigerians for leading them astray. The Northerners know that the Southerners are not united politically hence the decision to activate their structure against 2023. |
The situation is very unfortunate. The basic problem is poverty & poor governance. A lot of people in Uyo & the surrounding communities depend on income from motorcycle business. The AKSG should've registered all genuine commercial motorcyclists. This would've made it easier for security agents to identify criminals amongst them. The government should've had several meetings with the cyclists to educated them on the necessity for the ban of their activities in Uyo & also assist them to purchase the recommended tricycles. On the other hand, the SARS operatives aired in killing the poor okada man. There are several civilized ways of arresting a defaulter. The killer cop(s) should be identified & punished. The involvement of the cyclists in arson is barbaric & their action should be condemned. All the culprits should be arrested & prosecuted. There're better ways of expressing their grievances. Some of them are very wicked. Why should they burn the property of people who are also struggling to survive like them. They should've protested to the government house & the Police Headquarters. With this development, it's obvious we're still far from civilization. |
Quite difficult to do things the right way in this country. If the NPF cannot conduct a simple recruitment exercise successfully, we shouldn't expect much from them. |
