Governor Sule Lamido is an astute politician and a relatively better Governor than most of his colleagues. He should be mindful of the words he uses to describe the people he is supposed to add value to their lives. In 1993 he abandoned MKO because of sectional reason and supported a dictator. If not that God intervened, he won't be a governor today. A principled politician must defend democracy. Irrespective of the governors desire and what is stated in the constitution, the country must save for the future. The governors are not generating revenues in their states. They are all 'gloried' beggars who are dependent on monthly allocation from the federation account. No country can be stable economically without diversification of the economy. Finally the greedy people are the governors and other public officers who are earning unjustified wages. They also loot the treasury and impoverish the people. Sule Lamido should apologize to his people for abusing them inappropriately. |
Curse shall be upon these police officers and their superior officers who sent them for the ungodly and deadly mission. Sorrow, pain, poverty and diseases shall follow them all the days of their lives. For making somebody to be childless, they shall all bear the pains of the loss of a loved one. Enough of these nonsense. Since protests have not solved these problems, we should all join our hands together and raise our voices to our heavenly father for help. |
It is obvious that Nigerians don't know the problem of this country. I'm disappointed in our leaders especially the Governors. All of them are beggars who run to Abuja for revenue to be shared to them. Their job is award of contracts and sharing of funds to their cronies. Non can use his brain to create wealth, industries nor invest in research projects that will benefit the country in future. What moral standing does glorified beggars have to prevent the Federal Government from saving for the rainy day. They talk about constitution. Who prepared that so called constitution. The time to start planning for the future is now. These fools should not draw us back by wasting time fighting about sharing of allocation. They are lazy and unpatriotic fellows! |
I now believe what Al-Mustapha said about Yoruba elders. These elders love money. They are openly rallying support for a criminal. They should be patient till the court has passed judgement on OGD. Nigeria lacks honourable, detribalized and patriotic fellows. |
Dr. Roger Makanjuola may be a distinguished scholar, obviously he his a bad administrator. Probably he wants to be a good boy of the government and increase the funds allocated to the MDCN. The health care delivery system is full of problems and it is not a priority for him to outline strategies to tackle them. Quacks have taken over medical practice. Some state governments even employ foreign quacks to work as doctors. What has he done to reduce maternal mortality in Nigeria which is the 2nd highest in the world apart from India. He wants to dabble into labour issues which is not is primary duty. As a resident doctor, did he not go on strike? Did the Hippocratic Oath authorize Health Officials and Hospital Administrators to embezzle funds meant for health care, research and training of officers. It is a shame that some Federal Medical Centres in the country have not commenced residency training for doctors because the Medical Directors are corrupt. It is very clear that the Chairman of the MDCN does not know what should be his priorities. May God have mercy on our administrators. |
The Anambra State Governor is simply looking for a way to siphon public funds. The officials in the Ministry of Health are cowards. They cannot advise the governor properly either because they are part of the scam or they are afraid of lossing their jobs. Even in developed countries, doctors go on strike. Officials in those countries usually address issues promptly and strikes usually last few hours. In this country, because most government officials are interested in looting public funds, they are very insensitive to issues that are detrimental to the masses. Foreign doctors earn more money that local doctors. What is the sense in refusing to pay local doctors a living wage. The time has come for the government to hands off complete control of public hospitals. Government should only be a partner in health care through regulation of practices, provision of funds for research, social services and insurances. |
Sponsorship of pilrims by various tiers of Government is a waste of scarce resources needed for development and a source of embezzlement of Government funds. How has the country benefitted from pilgrimmages? There is massive corruption, kidnapping, terrorism, nepotism, indolence, tribalism, lack of patriotism etc. Good thinking by GEJ. Bravo! |
The elites and the numerous almajiris in the north are dependent on funds and free meals from the federation account. Industry, education and research is not part of their agenda. The presidency is their life ambition. True federation is not part of their dreams and aspirations. |
It is a shame that Mallam Isa Yuguda is a Governor of a state in Nigeria. He claims that members of Boko Haram sect are youths that have degrees without employment. Is it possible that there are some uneducated persons employed to do the jobs of graduates in his state? Sir, most of your people don't have western education. So why do you claim that BK is made up mainly of unemployed graduates? There is a clear link between BK and the post election violence. Isa Yuguda is a coward. Nemesis will soon take care of him, his family and political clan for the evil they have perpetrated. |
Nigeria is a nation whose growth is stunted because of her large population of unproductive people. The unpatriotic and corrupt politicians are the main cause of the underdevelopment of the country. Most Nigerians are desperate and ready to do anything to survive. An almajiri is ready to kill for a free lunch; The police will collect N20 for routine servicing etc. Unless Nigerians change their attitude, Nigeria will remain undeveloped for a long time. Nigerians condon and abate corruption for various reasons - religious, ethnic, political etc. There is no political will to fight corruption. Lets pray for divine intervention. Lets pray and curse all the people responsible for all the evil perpetrated in the country. |
Unless we start building strong institutions and systems instead of relying on powerful personalities, Nigeria's retarded development will persist. Corruption and ethnicity are major factors breeding mediocrity in our systems. I'm not surprised by recent events in the country. Crying wolf now is a waste of time. We've always had reasons in the past to tolerate illegalities. Nobody knows who the next victim would be. If nigerians can put heads together to rig elections, siphon public funds and cause religious crises why can't we put heads together to correct the anomalies in the system. |
Atiku is being sarcastic. He's describing IBB, the evil genius as a saint. Our elders should be truthful if we desire the development of this country. Conscience is an open wound, only the truth can heal it. |
The NUC and MDCN should be blamed for accreditation of such state universities for the training of doctors. The end result shall be the production of half baked doctors. May God save our souls. |
These men are not using their brains. They are not sincere to themselves. If we stop stealing public funds, the developed countries will stop receiving them. Honourable speaker, be patriotic by reducing your fat salaries and allowances which is a burden to the nation. According to El-Rufai, your pay can not be justified by your performance. Until you remove the log in your eye, you can not remove the speck in another man's eye. |

Nigerian administrators do not use their brains and are not ready to learn. Can Nigeria manage disasters resulting from nuclear plants accidents? There are other sources of power that we have ignored: coal, wind, hydro and solar energy. Hon. Minister, please stop this white elephant project. |
Captain O. Stephen deserves special commendation for his civility despite being an army officer. Most officers would have taken the laws into their hands. The trial judge is courageous for delivering the landmark judgement. The judiciary is living up to our expectation. |
Congratulations brother! Commence post graduate studies immediately. Best wishes. |
What the President has done is commendable. Increased funding alone will not improve the standard of education in our universities. The attitude of lecturers and university administrators must change. They are too dependent on subventions and rarely use their knowledge and skills to source for funds. Most of them develop themselves for opportunities to be politicians. A lot of them end up sleeping during sessions in the national assembly. |
The office of the IGP is a gold mine. Okiro did not want to break Balogun's record because of EFCC. Probably, that was why he had to frustrate Ribadu out of the NPF. No wonder Boko Haram nearly bombed the IGP. May be there was a failed transaction. |
These people are cursed. He that lives by the sword dies by the sword. A suicide bomber is a coward who cannot solve his problems by covention means. Advancing to the South will be suicidal because of the presence of OPC, MASSOB, M0SOP,MEND etc. |
Revealing ghost workers without disclosing the perpetrators of the act nor prosecuting culprits is negligence of duty on the part of the supervising minister. Immediate employment to replace the ghost workers is necessary to convince the public that the claims of Aganga is correct. |
The Borno Elders & ACF leaders are looking for free meal tickets. They failed to create industries & schools for their youths when they were in power. Now the table has turned. They are no longer respected by the almajiris & their lives are no longer safe. They are living like refugees at home. This is a lesson for any group of elders who deny their people education & other social services. They are cursed. |
1. Compulsory education. 2. DNA data base and proper identification of citizens. 3. Electrification and industrialization. 4. Eradication of corruption. 5. Others. |
These group of egocentric legislators and their illiterate militants are allies. They have nothing to offer this country. No amnesty for terrorist. |
The Borno elders and the Borno NBA are hypocrites. Where were they when the miscreants were terrorizing 'unbelievers'. The only reason they live together with 'unbelievers' is because their livelihood depend on them. Sentiments apart, the JTF should crush the rebels and their sponsors. All true believers should pray and curse them till they all perish or repent. Finally, no amnesty for terrorists. |
GEJ is a 'youth friendly' President. Three hearty cheers to the C-in-C. |
How can I block my Nokia E63 mobile phone that has been stolen. |
The house member is selfish and callous. God will punish all of them if they refuse to reduce their jumbo pay. The House burrowed money to pay members' allowances. Can it not destabilize the economy? Mugu! |
I wish to congratulate the Nigerian woman for the safe delivery of her babies. However, the situation reflects the mentality of an average Nigerian and the level of decay in health care in the country. She could afford transport fare to Britain but never thought of doing a simple ultrasound scan to ascertain the wellbeing of the babies. She took a great risk. The Minister of Health and SOGON should take note. |
