Most of our past leaders are multi-billionaires. They own several companies, mansions and parcels of land at the detriment of the masses. Most of them contributed nothing to the development of the country. Payment of pension to past leaders of the National Assembly is fraudulent and condemnable. A lot of them are retired civil servants and military officers who are already pensioners. They have not added much value to the lives of nigerians. Why must the masses pay the price for their upkeep? |
Shame onto the Emir of Suleja, the Governor of Niger State and the northern state governors for not having courage to assist the relatives of the bereaved due to the fear of Boko Haram. They always wait for the Federal Government to do everything for them. God bless Obong Akpabio for his kind gesture. We need lion hearted leaders in this country. Nobody can suppress the worship of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. As long as he lives, the church shall continue to grow. |

We do things wrongly in this country. What is the name of the officer involved in the fraud? Who are the accomplices? Can such a crime be committed without the involvement of senior government officials and politicians. Since government is unwilling to reveal them, we should pray for God to visit with the afflictions of pensioners who died due to their wickedness. Unless they repent and do restitution, all they laboured for shall be in ruins. |
No amnesty for the fools. They are cursed. The group is already doomed. With modern technology, it is very easy to track their leaders since no group can function without communication. They should blame their parents and leaders for their misfortune. Schools are always open. Anytime they are ready, they can apply for proper training. Shame on the elites who cannot stand for the truth. They shall be condemned to the thrash bin of history. Fools! |
Namfav, you're a slow learner. You don't call citizens migrants. You can say they are not indigenes of Madalla. On the subject matter, the issue is not about the hatred of the emir but his non-chalant attitude towards a brutal event that occurred in his domain. Such attitude is condemnable. As an elder, the emir admitted his fault and apologized to the concerned community. |
Fani-Kayode is looking for cheap publicity. He is a lawyer, he should not express his view as a layman. The convict should appeal if he is not satisfied with the judgement. The situation is already tense, he should not aggravate more crisis. |
Asari Dokubo is confused. I thought he is a lawyer. Al-Mustapha has been tried, convicted and sentenced. He should appeal if he is not satisfied with the judgement. The sentence will serve as a deterrent to evil men who love to spill human blood at the slightest provocation. Good judgement! |
It is a shame that this country is dependent on nomadic cattle rearing for beef and dairy products. Some of this nomads are criminals and agents of Boko Haram. Most of them are illiterates and ill-tempered. They are usually involved in violent community clashes. The government and security agents should curtail their activities. |
It is a shame that the throne of the Obong of Calabar is being ridiculed. The Obong of Calabar is the head of the efiks. The efik etuboms should shun selfish interests and select the Obong of Calabar according to laid down tradition. The prestige of the efiks and their culture is at stake if the dispute of the Obong's throne is not amicably resolved. |
Though they have some learned and enterprising people the northerners are generally lazy. They believe in sharing of public funds and property. They don't cut their coats according to their sizes. How do you explain a situation in which a man with no reasonable education nor source of income will have four wives and 30 children? Most of them end up as almajiris and potential foot soldiers for Boko Haram. The region is affect by her religion, high rate of illiteracy, feudalism, incorporation of illegal aliens into her local politics, corruption, lack of foresight and planning by her leaders. They prefer the government to do everything for them. The regional leaders need to sit down and evaluate themselves. They need to start doing things properly if they want to be relevant in the current dispension. So far, the activities of Boko Haram has portrayed them as barbaric, unproductive, unprogressive and religiously fanatical people. |
IBB has never been elected into any political office before. He made himself a military president in 1985. The seed of the evil tree he sowed has started producing evil fruits . I hope he has gone for good. Evil genius, farewell! |
It is obvious that the Borno elders are cowards and hypocrites. If it is unconstitutional for the FG to sign a defence pact with the US, is it constitutional for his boys to recruit aliens from Chad and Niger to terrorize Nigerians? If the terrorists need amnesty, they should surrender themselves unconditionally to constituted authorities. No negotiations nor dialogue with terrorists. The elders failed woefully in bringing up their wards. They refused western education and has not derived much benefit from their preferred type of education. They marry many wives and have numerous children without any reasonable education nor source of income. These people are deceiving themselves. They want to reap where they did not sow. The days of free meals from government funds is over. If the elders love them, they should continue to give them free meals at their own expense. With modern equipment and intelligence from the US, Israel etc, and persistent military action, the activities of Boko Haram will be curtailed. Due to years of neglect, the youths are frustrated. Instead of killing innocent people, they should direct their annoyance at their elders. If they wish to kill them, so be it. The blood of killed innocent persons shall hunt them. They and their generations shall remain cursed until they repent and seek for forgiveness openly and also pay compensation to the families of the deceased. |
According to Karl Marx, 'religion is the opium of the Masses. The elites use religion to suppress the masses. Due to poverty and illiteracy, the masses are often induced to fight for gods. God is omnipotent, omniscience and omnipresent. He fights his battle and does not wait for man to fight for him. God is a spirit, those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Most of these religious fanatics are hypocrites. God shall judge them at the appointed time. |
Ships especially war ships are usually commissioned by women especially first ladies in the developed world. Nigeria is maintaining similar tradition. |
I'm disappointed in statements made by public officials. The CP has told Nigerians that Chadians are involved in the Kano bomb blasts and Tambuwal is still talking of dialogue and negotiations with terrorists. The borders should be closed and a house-to-house search should be done to arrest the invaders. The Chadian authorities should be called to order. Negotiations and settlement will be like paying tithes to foreigners and submitting to terrorists. These people are lazy and unproductive aliens. They are capitalising on the systemic failure of our institutions. All compromised security agents should be identified and dismissed. The time to act is now before it is too late. |
The emir wept, what a pity. Poor upbring, the almajiri system, radical islamic teaching, feudalism, desperation for political power, lack of patriotism etc resulted in this situation. Now that the casualties are mainly muslims, the emir wept and the elders are now showing concern. Was he not aware that these hoodlooms were being groomed and funded by some governors and politicians. The evil that men do live after them. These criminals want to weaken the security in Kano to enable them rob banks and perpetrate other criminal acts. These boys are frustrated because of neglect by their parents and political leaders. Woe unto the Borno elders who want negotiations with the criminals. They need re-orientation and compulsory education. The laws need review. There should be severe punishment including death penalty for offenders. All politicians and elders who have made inflammatory statements against the state should be arrested and tried for treason. |
ASUU has a problem. What are they looking for? They want autonomy and at the same time they want increased funding by the FG. They are lazy. They cannot attract research grants because they are not publishing good papers. They want to die in the system instead of encouraging the young ones to move up. They are wasting the future of the youths through persistent strikes. Universities should partner with corporate bodies for increasing funding. |
History will vindicate the just. If the governor is lying, time shall tell. However, his statement should not be ignored. The allegations of CPC should also be considered. Lets raise our voices to God and pray for the perpetrators of the act to be exposed and disgraced. The state has failed and life is no longer safe. The governor is obviously afraid of the dreaded sect and cannot condemn them publicly. The long years of mismanagement of state funds and the production of almajiris created the dreaded, bloody, faceless sect. God never forgets the oppressed, he will act at the right time. |
Special tribunals and anti-terrorism courts should be set up to try arrested members of the sect. Sponsors including senator Ndume if convicted should be given the 'CIA' treatment. They are barbaric and should be treated like animals. They are cursed people. Nothing good can come out of them and their descendants. |
The new IGP must not be from the core north and must not be a muslim. He may have sympathy for Boko Haram. I will prefer a woman IGP if such a competent lady is available. All senior police officers with bad records should be retired. All former IGPs should be probed. CCTVs should be installed in all police formations, public places, trains and buses. All criminals and religious fanatics in the NPF should be dismissed. |
The SNG, NBA, CLO etc., what are they waiting for. Egocentric fellows. Perhaps no sponsors are available to fund a protest. GEJ does not need a prophet to tell him that Mr. Ringim, the IGP is a member of Boko Haram. It is obvious that the suspect was released for the lastest assignment in Kano. Probing him is a waste of funds and time. If GEJ cannot act promptly, he should resign. Attempts will be made to persuade the FG to negotiate with these terrorists. If he does that, Nigeria is finished. Darkness cannot overcome light. They are cursed, frustrated, barbaric felons filing up to go to hell. Nothing good can come out of them and their descendants. Every right thinking and patriotic Nigerian should condemn the evil activities of this sect. May the souls of the departed fellows rest in peace. |
Nigeria is finished. Granting bail to terrorist suspects is not only a crime against the state but also a crime against humanity. Unless the judiciary and the police is reformed, the war against terrorism is a waste of time. Special courts with competent judges must be establish for the trial of terrorists. |
The IGP does not have integrity. Does he want to be dismissed before he resigns. He is a national disgrace. The lost souls and the families of the deceased will never forgive him if he perpetrated such a crime. Either he produces the terrorist suspect or he should be sacked and tried for professioal negligence and treason. |
This is a cock and bull story. The IGP should be relieved of his post for compromising national security. CP Zakari Biu should be sacked and charged for treason. He is cursed. He shall not know peace till he and his accomplices have paid for the lives of innocent souls lost in their terrorist acts. As for Kabiru Sokoto, he will soon be re-arrested. Cursed is the day he was born. There is no hiding place for him. All the military and police officers who abate and aid terrorism are a disgrace to this nation. Unless they repent, they will continue to heap curses on themselves and their families. Shame unto them. The security agencies need major reorganization. |
I'm disappointed in the NBA. The NLC/TUC were patriotic. They made a good decision. Are the lawyers not the ones that protect most of these corrupt politicians? You don't need to be on the streets before the cabal can be exposed. The FOI bill is there for you to use and get enough information to bring the cabal to book. The NBA instead of chasing shadows can channel her effort towards the reduction of the bogus salaries and allowances of politicians; protest against corruption which they occasionally aid; fight for fiscal federalism which is actually the main problem. There are local problems in Lagos State that need their attention. Surprisingly, the NBA is quiet. Probably, the fuel subsidy removal protests may be politically motivated. |
Dr. Abalaka is a typical blackman who has an invention but wants to keep it to himself. A lot of money has been put into HIV vaccine research but it was only recently that success was recorded. None of the pharmaceutical companies have started selling the vaccines. Proper drug trials must be conducted to confirm their safety. Dr. Abalaka being a typical nigerian whose interest is how to make money had started administering 'HIV vaccines' that were not certified by any regulatory body to unsuspecting patients. Only God knows the damages he caused to them. His conduct was unprofessional and he was called to order by the appropriate authority to protect unsuspecting patients. With the availability of free antiretroviral drugs, it is not surprising that Dr. Abalaka's claim is no longer relevant. |
This country does not have a comprehensive data base. Such a scheme though laudable will be prone to abuses. Lets put the basic structures on ground. Funding of the scheme can be achieved by the reduction of salaries and allowances of members of the national assembly and state houses of assembly. I thank God for touching the senator to sponsor a bill for the needy. |
For IBB, its better late than never. I commend his bravery. However, as a military president years ago, he had the opportunity to restructure the country. He could have set up a solid democratic structure. Egocentric motives and lack of foresight made him to fail. He had allocated oil blocks and public funds to his kindreds and friends. He made nigerians to be lazy to the extend that we can't feed our ourselves. How will the federating units sustain themselves? Is it through revenue from nomadic cattle rearing, toll gates or what? The states are now beggars who are dependent on monthly allocation from oil revenue for their survival. IBB's words are mere rhetorics. I'm sure he has lost touch with is people. Perhaps they will think that he has senile dementia. How time flies. He should make atonement for his mistakes so that history will judge him fairly. |
So it is true that the protests were sponsored. The actors are now singing for any serious sponsor. I have lost hope in their generation. What do they know about fuel subsidy? Political prostitutes! |
God is alive and will never rest till all the evil doers are punished. For the governor and his agents, he and his people will never have peace all the days of their lives. The blood of all the innocent people they have killed will hunt them till they die. Shame unto all the cursed elders who have lost their voices because they are compromised. They contribute almost nothing to the federation account but want to use terrorist tactics to have undeserved wealth. I give kudos to GEJ and the security agents for a job well done. Until all the agents of darkness are arrested, prosecuted and jailed; and their property confisticated they will be no growth and develop in that state. Anyone or group of persons who want to cover up these people shall be exposed and shamed. Curses shall follow them and their families. The people of Borno/Yobe are suffering from the wickedness, greed and foolishness of their leaders. The boko haramites can kill their leaders if they want to but should not express their frustrations on innocent people. Those that fail to plan, plan to fail. You can only reap want you sow. |
Most civil servants are unproductive. They are lazy and can afford to stay at home because their salaries will be paid. In some states especially in the North, they are only seen when salaries are paid. The senior officers assist the politicians and contractors to loot the treasury. Have they ever held a protest against corruption? Most local government councils still do table payment of salaries. This method of payment is fraudulant but none of them has prostested. The civil service needs serious reforms. These calibre of officers cannot develop this country. |
