PoliticsRe: Senate Votes On Bill To Control Strikes by kinguwem: 1:37pm On Mar 14, 2012
The National Assembly has lost focus. Legislative business should be a part time job in Nigeria. They are looking for a way to justify the undue jumbo pay they receive. They are a lot of pressing issues in this country that demand urgent attention. They should stop distracting the attention of Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Northern Governors Urge Boko Haram To Embrace Dialogue by kinguwem: 9:19pm On Mar 13, 2012
The northern governors are insincere to their people. They deny them good education and deceive them that they can make a living from religion while they loot public funds. They have converted the almajiris into criminals, murderers and terrorists who are against western education. They added insult to injury by demanding for islamization of Northern Nigeria. The governors have failed in their responsibilities. They lack integrity and shame for calling for dialogue with a barbaric sect. Already they have brought causes upon their people. God shall judge them accordingly for their wickedness.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Captures Runaway Member by kinguwem: 4:14pm On Mar 13, 2012
Boko Haram attacks are not very effective again. Obviously the military option is weakening the group. The arrest of members is revealing a lot of information about the group. The next phase is to expose sponsors and collaborators in government, the military and the police. All northern politicians and leaders should be scrutinized for links with the barbaric sect.
PropertiesRe: 2011 Land & Property Scams Or Swindles Nairalanders Encountered To Avoid In 2012 by kinguwem: 3:21pm On Mar 13, 2012
Lawyer, you are a genius in land matters. I hope you will be appointed a commissioner/minister of lands/housing one day. I had bought a land recently in Jalingo following your advice. Everything went perfectly well. Thanks!
PoliticsRe: Why Are Salaries Of Federal Workers Delayed Every Month by kinguwem: 10:15am On Mar 13, 2012
Sometimes the problem is from the Ministry of Finance but most times the problem is from the heads of parastatals. Workers salaries are deposited in fixed deposit accounts to generate funds for the administrators.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity Looms As NUPENG Threatens To Strike by kinguwem: 5:05am On Mar 13, 2012
NUPENG has outlived her usefulness. The issue she has raised is one of the reasons why we are underdeveloped. You don't force government to give concessions to favoured companies but you invest in a firm to give it comparable advantage. Enough of the strikes. Put your house in order.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Plans To Have Ijaw Republic Says Elrufai by kinguwem: 4:24pm On Mar 11, 2012
Mallam El-Rufai is not just a frustrated northern politician but an ethnic apologist. What is he and his clan afraid of? Any group of people who contribute little or nothing to the economy of a state cannot demand for preferential treatment. Since he is now an apostle of Buhari, he should wait for the time his boss will be elected president before he can have political relevance again.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland Is 7 Years Old Today! by kinguwem: 7:17pm On Mar 10, 2012
Happy Birthday Nairaland! Wishing the Forum many happy returns and more progressive discussions.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Senators Receive N1.3billion New Cars by kinguwem: 12:22am On Mar 10, 2012
I don't have hope in our legislators. The bicameral legislature we operate is a waste of public funds. We need a parliamentary system of government. The members of the National Assembly are just there to make money. This country does not have a bright future the way events are unfolding.
PoliticsRe: Sovereign National Conference: North Set For Showdown by kinguwem: 12:06am On Mar 10, 2012
The major problem with the North is laziness and the classification of politics as a job. They don't desire western education but desire the benefits of western education. They cultured Boko Haram which is now their nemesis. There is no short cut to success. Those that fail to plan, plan to fail.
HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by kinguwem: 10:13pm On Mar 09, 2012
Treatment of malaria in pregnancy depends on the gestational age and the severity of the disease. In the second and third trimesters, artemisinin combination therapy (ACTs) is used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria (coartem, artemether, lonart tablets etc.). Quinine is used for the treatment of malaria in the first trimester and for the treatment of complicated malaria in all trimesters. Intravenous artesunate can also be used for the treatment of complicated malaria in the second and third trimesters. All pregnant women are advised to sleep under an insecticide treated bed net (INT). All pregnant women are also advised to register for antenatal care so that they can benefit from intermittent prophylactic treatment (IPT) with sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine tablets in the second and third trimesters.

PoliticsRe: 13 Aigs Retired ,aggrieved Officers Head For Court by kinguwem: 5:12pm On Mar 08, 2012
If retirement of the affected officers will sanitize the Nigeria Police, so be it. No police officer deserves sympathy except those courageous officers who suffered losses in the course of official duty. The AIGs should console themselves with the loot they have acquired in the course of their duty.
SportsRe: Nigerians Must Apologise To Sanni Kaita-Onigbinde has come again o. by kinguwem: 7:48am On Mar 08, 2012
I'm dissapointed in Chief Onigbinde. How can Nigerians apologize to a player who cost Nigeria a game at the world cup because of indiscipline and misconduct on the pitch. The coach had nothing to do with his behaviour. Sanni Kaita is not an indispensable player, we have good midfielders who can play for the Super Eagles.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Vow To Attack South South Part Of Nigeria by kinguwem: 7:01am On Mar 05, 2012
Boko Haram has run out of ideas. The group is seen as a criminal gang. They have no economic importance. They are desperate and disorganized. The time for them to drop their arms is now. History will never forgive them for the crime they have committed against humanity.
EducationRe: Nigeria: Fg To Hand Over 100 Almajiri Schools By June by kinguwem: 1:38am On Mar 02, 2012
The building of schools is a good idea but it will not solve the problem. Even the Sultan knows that. The problem is mainly the radical islamic indoctrination and poverty.
HealthRe: Heavy Bleeding After Aborting Pregnancy With Cytotec by kinguwem: 11:32am On Feb 29, 2012
I'm a gynae. based in Jalingo. The best thing to do is to see a gynaecologist or a doctor who is capable of evacuating retained products of conception from the uterus (MVA). Your girl friend is bleeding because the abortion is incomplete. Misoprostol (cytotec) causes contraction of the uterus resulting in expulsion of the fetus. Sometimes the expulsion is incomplete resulting in incomplete abortion. You should desist from abusing prescription drugs. Cytotec has side effects such as fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, uterine rupture etc. You should also note that Nigeria has a restrictive abortion law. Be conversant with the law to avoid problems. Finally, you and your girl friend need counselling on family planning and prevention of STIs.
PoliticsRe: General TY Danjuma Donates $1M To World Bank’s Africa River Blindness Trust Fund by kinguwem: 6:29am On Feb 29, 2012
It is a shame that Nigeria has several rich men and the country is poor. Most of them are former public servants and government contractors. They impoverish the masses and make tremendous wealth. They paralysed public institutions and set up foundations with embezzled funds. The Federal Government awards them while the people watch helplessness. What a hopeless nation.
CareerRe: I Don't Want To Be A Doctor The Words Nigerian Parent Does Not Want To Hear by kinguwem: 9:17pm On Feb 28, 2012
The medical profession is a humanitarian job. There are a lot of risks and harzard associated with the job. The profession needs dedication and commitment. Doctors may not be rich but they are usually comfortable. The fullfilment that comes with the practice is invaluable.
PoliticsRe: Budget: North Rejects Southsouth’s Vote On Revenue Formula by kinguwem: 7:16pm On Feb 28, 2012
The northern politicians lack resourcefulness and industry. They are only dependent on allocation from the federation account. They are a lot of resources in the north but none has been developed because of the mentality of the leaders. Resources are invested in religious fanatism, syncophancy, religious and civil crisis, fraudulent funds transfer and teenage marriages abroad.
PoliticsRe: Explosive! Deprivation & Derivation Principles: Why The North Is Poor (i) by kinguwem: 8:24pm On Feb 27, 2012
The North shall continue to be poor as long as the masses remain illiterate, subservient and are willing to be almajiris. They are indoctrinated and brain-washed to believe that their problems are caused by 'infidels'. No wonder a lot of them are now suicide bombers. What a hopeless situation. They have become lazy and dependent on the feudal lords for their daily 'manner'. The vast land available for mechanized agriculture is not an incentive to the state governors who are corrupt, selfish and devoid of developmental ideas. These people deserve no sympathy. They should ripe what they sowed.
PoliticsRe: El'rufai Accuses President Jonathan Of Partnering With Boko Haram by kinguwem: 5:17pm On Feb 27, 2012
Mallam El' Rufai is an intelligent but frustrated man who is seeking for political relevance. He seeks the sympathy of his people after being used by OBJ. He is very inconsistent. Initially he called for dialogue with Boko Haram and is confused about the operations of Baram Haram. It is very clear to Nigerians who the sponsors of Boko Haram are. The motive of the killings is very clear. El' Rufai should be bold enough to tell Nigerians the offence they have committed. It shall never be well with all of them for killing innocent citizens because of their selfish interests.

PoliticsRe: You Want A SNC?- Read This Full Minutes Of The Famous Aburi Conference. by kinguwem: 5:27pm On Feb 22, 2012
Never again should we allow poorly educated, egocentric, myopic and indisciplined tribalists to lead our nation. Because of their selfishness and greed for oil, we are where we are today. Nigeria is now a country where anything goes: corruption, mediocrity, terrorism , kidnapping, fuel scarcity, election rigging, ritual killings etc. The National Assembly is a toothless bulldog and has nothing to offer Nigerians. We need a parliamentary system of government. The bicameral legislature in Nigeria is a massive waste of public funds. If the Aburi Accord is the solution, then let the people adopt it.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Police Are The Worst Paid In The World – Osayande by kinguwem: 2:28pm On Feb 22, 2012
The problem of the NPF is more than lack of funds and equipment. Improved welfare packages will motivate the officers but will not improve their performance. The institution is cursed. Corruption, nepotism, mediocrity, religious fanatism etc. has resulted in a systemic collapse. The emergence of the terrorist group, Boko Haram has further exposed the rust in the NPF. There is an urgent need for the reformation of the Police.
HealthRe: What Makes Doctors' Handwriting Rough? by kinguwem: 9:44am On Feb 21, 2012
Most doctors have rough hand writing because of the training they undergo. Doctors are trained to write very fast inorder to take notes very quickly and to attend to a lot of patients within a limit time. Patients' folders are usually confidential and medical abbreviations are universal and easily understood by all trained health workers. I'm a medical officer who writes roughly when attending to patients even though I have a naturally fine hand writing.
HealthRe: Lassa Fever Outbreak: 13 Dead At Federal Medical Center In Jalingo, Taraba by kinguwem: 11:16am On Feb 19, 2012
Lassa fever is endemic in some parts of West Africa including Nigeria. Epidemics occur in some states in Nigeria including Edo, Taraba, Ebonyi, Lagos, Adamawa etc. The disease is endemic in some parts of Edo State. The national lassa fever treatment centre is in Irrua Teaching Hospital, Edo State. The disease is usually diagnosed late because it presents intially like other febrile illnesses like malaria, typhoid fever, respiratory tract infections etc. The disease is treated with intravenous ribavirin over a period of 10 days. The disease can be prevented by personal and environmental hygiene, killing of rats, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by health workers, isolation and barrier nursing of infected patients. Following the death of health workers the management of Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo has closed down the Accident and Emergency unit, some wards and the theatre for fumigation. There are plans to set up a management centre in the hospital. A treatment camp has been set up in Mayo-Reno, Ardo-Kola L.G.A., Taraba State where most of the infected patients came from. There is need for hospital managements and governments at all levels to be proactive especially in release of funds for the control of the epidemic. Proactive measures would have reduced the number of deaths including those of the health workers.
NYSCRe: Passionat Appeal To The Fg To Deploy More (nysc)members To Boko Haram by kinguwem: 9:57pm On Feb 17, 2012
Corp members should not be posted to Borno State and other Boko Haram dominated states. These people are not interested in education nor industry. Why does the governor seek the services of 'infidels'? His people have stated clearly what they want.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Critic Killed By Gunmen In Kano by kinguwem: 6:27pm On Feb 10, 2012

PoliticsRe: Atiku's Political Adviser Escalates His Attack On Wole Soyinka by kinguwem: 10:47pm On Feb 08, 2012
Malam Kabiru Yusuf is a fool. It is only a fool that will call Prof. Wole Soyinka, a noble laurate an illiterate. He has boko haram mentality. With people like him at the coridor of power, Nigeria will never develop. Semi-illiterate!
