Forget The Past, Work For Buhari, Sanwo-Olu’s Victory, Ambode Urges Epe Division
…Says Lagos Stands To Gain More By Voting All APC Candidates
…Lagos Gov, A Man With Large Heart - Hamzat
Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on Saturday urged voters in Epe Divison to vote enmasse for candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) across board to ensure the continuation of the good works of the party both in the State and in the country at large.
Governor Ambode, who spoke during a meeting with leaders of APC in the division which was called at his instance and held at Jubilee Chalet in Epe, said it was time for the people to put events before and after the APC governorship primaries in the State which produced Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the gubernatorial candidate of the party behind them, and truly unite for the party’s victory.
Addressing the gathering which was well attended by all APC leaders in the division, Governor Ambode said it became imperative for him to meet with them to let them know that all members must submit to the decision of the party.
“All of us are brothers and sisters because this is a close-knit community. It is now time for us to work together for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and election of Mr. Sanwo-Olu because Epe cannot be left behind.
“I know that in view of what happened, some people are still aggrieved but what I want you to know is that there is no way PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) will work for the development of our division like APC. We are also all aware that for the past sixteen years of PDP, they did not do anything in Epe division and it is only the APC that has been doing something for Lagos and for the country.
“I want to assure you that Epe will benefit more if we vote for APC. All my achievements in the last three and half years will be improved upon if Sanwo-Olu wins and so I want to urge you all to come out and vote for APC because that is how we can secure the future of our children and this division.
Also speaking at the meeting, Deputy Governorship candidate of APC in the State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat thanked Governor Ambode and all the leaders in the division, saying the Governor displayed unusual maturity and character which eloquently confirmed that he is a man with large heart.
“I want to thank Governor Ambode for being a man with a large and great heart. What you are doing is unusual and I want to assure you that you have a future and that future will be very soon. We will do everything to protect your interest and that of Epe division.
“Governor Ambode has done his best and we will do our best to continue his legacies and build on what the Governor has done to further develop our dear State,” Hamzat said.
Among those that attended the meeting are Hamzat, Senator representing Lagos East at the upper legislative chamber, Gbenga Ashafa; member of House of Representatives representing Epe, Hon Wale Raji; Chief Lanre Razaq, former Speakers - Adeyemi Ikuforiji and Jokotola Pelumi; Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, among others.

The mother of one shared some of her recent photos on her IG story, she says her maternity leave is almost over and she is also glad that her house is now valued at N850 million.
kahal29: The National Conscience Party (NCP) says Wednesday’s endorsement of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar by Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) as consensus candidate for 2019 election was an affront to the spirit of the alliance.
NCP National Publicity Secretary and member, Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) Media/Publicity Committee, Dr Emmanuel Okereke disclosed this in a statement in Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that CUPP), had on Wednesday announced that it endorsed Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as consensus candidate for the election.
But, Okereke said the purported endorsement is an affront to the spirit and vision of CUPP.
He noted that the NCP entered into alliance with some political parties with the aim of producing consensus presidential candidate that would be financially and structurally supported by CUPP.
“The NCP National Executive Committee and National Coordinating Council unanimous resolve to fully go into alliance with the CUPP) for credence.
“Disappointedly today in CUPP, same poor Nigerian masses we all came together to rescue are alarmed as just few elements against the letter and spirit of CUPP purportedly adopted the PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar as a consensus candidate for the February 2019 presidential election.
“This is a rape to the ethos of political alliance viz social re-engineering; an affront not only to the NCP which gave the alliance credence but also to CUPP, therefore must be unfalteringly resisted.
“NCP dissociates itself from this macabre dance of shame,” he said.
Okereke, also frowned at the CUPP steering committee chairman, Mr Olagunsoye Oyinlola for not following the guidelines for selecting a consensus candidate.
He said the Oyinlola’s committee invited all political parties in the coalition to forward intelligent memoranda.
“The same persons changed the goal post now, right in the middle of the match, no, and never, this is unacceptable! “NCP resists this shenanigan in totality, hence CUPP initial procedures for this exercise is not only dubiously jettisoned but clandestinely emasculated,” he said.
NAN reports that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) had also on Thursday distanced itself from the endorsement.
SDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Mohammed Alfa who disclosed this said the party already had a candidate, Mr Donald Duke whose name was submitted to INEC as its presidential candidate for the 2019 election.

At the 13th edition of Experience which took place last night in TBS, Lagos, gospel singers like Kirk Franklin, Don Moen, Chioma Jesus, Ada, Tim Godfrey, Timi Dakolo and a host of others thrilled audiences with scintillating performances leaving them in awe.
The highlight of the event is now a trending video on social media which saw some of the foreign gospel singers especially, Kirk Franklin speaking Igbo language while also making some crazy Michael Jackson moves and some shaku shaku dancekuk steps while performing on stage.

WotzupNG: TVC presenter, Morayo Aka-Bashorun, has stated that her husband is not a pedophile. She said this to clarify her comment which she made Yesterday about not letting her husband bath their daughter despite trusting him.
On her TV show Yesterday, Morayo Akabashorun said:
The statement from the Your View presenter drew lots of criticisms from people who think she indirectly labeled her husband a pedophile. Responding to the reactions, Morayo Aka-Bashorun shared a video on Instagram in which she stated that her husband is not a pedophile.
Nigerians be reacting as if these things don't exist!
She is merely saying that a mother should pay close attention to her girl child!
The bonding will make it easy for them to express themselves should such thing arise!
Mere looking at her husband self, he seems like these gyrating guys.
This woman is about to face a trying time. If the husband is as responsible as she claims, she will come out of it quickly!
I wish her the very best!
^^^^^ ^^^^^ Well said!
The husband is a 42-year-old legal practitioner and grew up in the OAU Staff Quarters just like Fela Durotoye, so he'll let the issue slide after a serious warning and call for caution.
newsynews: Below is a picture of the husband of TVC Presenter, Morayo Aka-Bashorun, who drew lots of criticisms after she said she cannot allow him bath their daughter. She made this known during her live TV show, Your View, where she said the fear of the evils out there (i.e fathers sleeping with their daughters) won’t make her allow her husband to bath their daughter despite trusting him.
She said:
Her words where met with great criticisms from Nigeria across all social media platforms who slammed her by saying she publicly disgraced her husband. Some quarters even said she subtly admitted that her husband is a pedophile.
Responding to the reactions, Morayo Aka-Bashorun shared a video on Instagram stating that her husband is a responsible man and not a pedophile.
sweetrace: She should not have said it on tv. But a lot of men in Nigeria are peds. They abuse children if they feel they can get away with it. We’ve had to many cases of uncles, neighbors and family friends abusing children. There are very few Nigerian ladies that have not had some adult male try something with them. That’s why we refuse to bury our heads in the sand and pretend that it does not happen. We teach our girls that no one should touch them there. All these people getting overly emotional and sounding so hateful in response to the presenters comment should try going to the social welfare office to actually understand what is going on.
^^^^ ^^^^ You say lot of men in Nigeria are peds? Don't make sweeping comments here.
Show your credible source of the facts with Statistics!
I agree though that once a girl clocks 2 years of age, a man should stay off bathing for his daughter...just to be safe and set the boundaries IMHO.
SouthWestBlood: Buhari has failed us and must go. Let's queue behind Omoyele Sowore.
^^^^^ ^^^^^ Omoyele Sowore whose paternal lineage is the Apoi in Ese Odo LGA cannot win because of the ethnic and regional dynamics in Nigeria!
Omoyele who I love for his charisma would have made a better Senator or House of Representatives member.
Statistics show that 90% of all the previous election votes are shared between APC and PDP while the other parties take the rest of the votes for the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections.
EzegeNG: TVC presenter, Morayo Akabashorun, this morning said she trusts her husband so much but will never take chances allowing him bath their daughter.
Morayo hinged her fear on the rapid increase of sexual assaults on little girls which in some cases is being carried out by their fathers.
Morayo and her other colleagues were having a discussion on rape viz-a-viz the relationship between father and daughter and if boundaries should be set in this kind of relationship.
See what Morayo said during the programme as tweeted by the TV station's official twitter handle
TVC’s Morayo Akabashorun tearfully apologized to husband on air during the Your View program, while also clarifying her controversial statement.
TVC presenter, Morayo and her other colleagues were having a discussion on rape viz-a-viz the relationship between father and daughter and if boundaries should be set in this kind of relationship.
Her statement went viral and led to a debate. Some criticized her saying she has indirectly disrespected her husband and called him a paedophile.
Morayo yesterday responded to set things straight, she said:
She has gone another step further as she went on her to apologize to her husband. It was a very emotional apology as she was in tears.
TVC made this known in a Tweet on their official page. The Tweet read;
^^^^^ ^^^^^ With the exception of Mariam Longe, Morayo and the rest of the "Your View" ladies including YK [Yeni Kuti] can be annoyingly garrulous, trivialize important issues and talk over one another in such a way that viewers can't hear what they are saying properly.
The worse ever has been Jumoke Alawode-James and it's good she no more appears on the show because she is a drama queen. This may be the reason why no intelligent man will marry her because she's a narcissistic person! Men don't like drama queens.
Uwa Saleh and Mariam Longe [who is originally from Plateau State but married to a Nigerian of Yoruba descent] have been the BEST ever on the show in the last 4 years because of their intelligent dissection of issues.
We watch the program from around the world via livestreaming and via YouTube so Morayo must learn to moderate the discussions properly and she's fortunate that Afolabi her 42-year-old husband is a mature guy who has accepted her for who she is. As the daughter of the iconic legal luminary and former NBA President [Alao Aka-Basorun], Morayo must live up to that family name. She must think before speaking and engage in Fact Checking always. I wish her the best!
U.S. Air Force's 388th Fighter Wing and 419th Reserve unit conducted its first ever Elephant Walk with the Stealth F-35 fighter jets on Monday 19th Nov. 2018.
The Fighter wings launched 35 F-35 fighter aircrafts in 20 to 40 second intervals during the combat exercise at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

odiks: President Muhammadu Buhari will win next year’s election, The Economist has reported.
The respected magazine has also predicted that the opposition coalition may collapse before the general election.
But Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar yesterday said the forecast of the London-based magazine failed to meet the attributes of objectivity, balance and fairness.
According to The Economist in its latest edition, “The World in 2019”, there is little hope that Islamist insurgency in the Northeast will end.
In a country appraisal for Nigeria under “The world in numbers”, the magazine said: “The president, Muhammadu Buhari, will win re-election in February, as a new opposition coalition may collapse before the vote.
“Given the outlook for continuing political weakness, there is little prospect of progress in the fight against the Islamist insurgency in the north, nationalism in the oil-producing Delta and secessionism in the Biafra region.
“Market-based reforms will languish, holding back growth yet again.”
The magazine’s other predictions for Nigeria are: GDP growth (1.9%); GDP per head-$2, 410(PPP: $6,020); inflation (13.6%); Budget balance (5GDP) is -2.0 and population (201.0m).
In a separate report, the Foreign Correspondent of The Economist, Aman Rizvi, distanced himself from the official position of his magazine.
He said the election will be close, with the PDP having a slight edge.
Rizvi said: “Mr. Buhari’s approval ratings have languished below 50 % for most of 2018. Ominously, he has been hit by a wave of defections to the PDP.
“Desertions to the APC four years ago, by many of the same people, felled ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
“Mr. Buhari’s electoral opponent in 2019, Atiku Abubakar, is one such double-turncoat. He is also a septuagenarian, billionaire businessman, former vice president and three-time presidential aspirant.
“With Mr. Abubakar distrusted for his wealth and opportunism, the election will be close. Its outcome will hinge on who arouses less apathy.
“So, who will win? Many Nigerians do not care. The back-and-forth floor-crossing has convinced them that the same people will be in charge either way. The PDP holds a slight edge, if only because expectations for Mr. Buhari were higher and his failure to meet them was more recent.”
But Atiku has rejected the latest prediction of The Economist.
A statement by the Special Assistant on Public Communication and Strategy to Atiku, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, said the forecast was a “poorly-executed hatchet job”.
Speaking with our correspondent, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Lanre Issa Onilu, said: “I will say that The Economist is just living up to its reputation. What the magazine has said is not new to most Nigerians; it is a report of the reality.
“I am not surprised that PDP did not find the report palatable. For a political party that has been living in denial, instead of addressing issues as copiously enumerated by The Economist, PDP has chosen to behave like a baby whose toy has just been taken away from him or her.
“PDP lacks credibility and any publication that is worthy of its own reputation will be taking a huge risk by making any attempt to dress PDP in a borrowed robe. PDP is a damaged product that has thrown up a discredited candidate. We can only commend The Economist.”
Asked if the 2019 presidential poll will be a close race, Onilu said: “We think if The Economist conducts further research, they will come to the conclusion we have already reached to the effect that next year’s presidential election is a no-contest.”
He dismissed insinuations that PDP might have a slight edge over APC.
During the unveiling of the train in 2005,the late Bush said:
The train, named Union Pacific 4141, is painted like the presidential airplane Air Force One. It has the presidential seal and the words "George Bush 41 Presidential Library and Museum" printed on its sides.
The 74-foot long and 16-foot tall diesel powered locomotive will transport the remains of former President , along with his family and friends from Spring to College Station.
Union Pacific, the owner of the train and the largest railroad in North America, said:

This will be the 8th funeral train for a United States president and the first since President Dwight Eisenhower in 1969.
