I was keen to read Anyim’s response when I saw the title...but I must confess...I’m disappointed. Grown men shouldn’t be airing their dirty linens in public. I’m disappointed that these two men are leaders from my side of the world. I’m disappointed that this was written by a former adviser to the president of FRN. Sorry Anyim, this letter and it’s content reminds me of the ones I’ve read in the past from one Emma Powerful...same style, syntax, diction, same thought process. |
NGpatriot:Lots of people don’t understand sarcasm. I’m sure this man would be somewhere laughing his azz off at the reactions especially from religious zealots who’d accuse him of careless talks and blasphemy. |
Nigerian Politicians should stop making mockery of the Nigerian Army uniform. Mr Bello and his crew are acting some bad comedy. This man is worse than a jester. Wrong gear, wrong time to act silly and most of those vehicles are not equipped for such silly exercise. Expect those vehicles to be at the mechanics in a week’s time and money finances wasted either trying to sort them out or acquire new ones. |
Igbochief001:This actually a recycling of a earlier thread by AutoReportNg last year. https://www.nairaland.com/5083918/national-truck-manufacturers-ltd-ntm |
Majority of the negative reactions to this photo shoot have been inspired by local folklores, tales by the moonlight and local orientations. Elsewhere other people and culture embrace mermaid, unicorns and fairy stories positively. The culture of fear of mermaids have been made worse by Victor Uwaifo’s song which ironically someone has referred to here and also certain beliefs especially from the riverine areas. I’m sure if Santa Claus was created and painted as the devil, lots of people would believe and dissociate from it. Mermaids don’t exist. If they exist, they would not only be very beautiful creatures, they would be eco warriors and superheroes who would protect the seas and marine life against all agents of destruction and harmful practices to harm the environment. Mermaids would fight people who contaminate the seas with poisonous wastes, oil spillages. Mermaids would protect the seas and make it friendly for people who survive on marine life. They’d protect marine travellers against pirates, they’d also like some dolphins protect drowning people and guide them safely to the shores. We should stop this rumours and fears of mermaids. People who pollute the environments are actually to be feared and worse than worst creatures in the seas. |
Crazy...Who allowed this madness with Keke in the middle of the road? Insanity. |
Cvwriter1:There’s nothing wrong in being a herbalist. The problem is such people like (Ebere) and many others are content being inspired by the ‘gods’ instead of reading pharmacy and expanding their worlds. People like this young lady would still be regulated by the authorities made up of experts in the medical profession and law. She need to go back to school. |
If Sanusi Lamido had said what the Sultan said, the response would’ve been different. They would’ve called Sanusi an enemy of the north. |
Angelfrost:Why do you think it happens to the female employees mainly?? Do you think the men are better behaved? WhatsApp shouldn’t be a way for a company to communicate with a potential employee. Some randy HR staff do abuse their positions by stalking female employees. Think. If the company was desperate to communicate with a staff, phone their numbers recognised company numbers, send sms with company phones and send emails....why save someone’s number on WhatsApp and start stalking and sending them messages with ‘hi’? |
Jashub:Businesses in Nigeria like to play gods to the citizens due to unimaginable employment rate. That’s why some HR staff from some company would find it convenient to sit in his living room with a mobile phone in his hands stalking vulnerable people who sent in applications or attended interviews. This is bad...Sadly there are people supporting that. It’s win win for such companies, they’d come in sheep’s skin via unprofessional platforms and when the response embarrass them, they’d claim rudeness and bad attitude...give such staff the needed attention and you’d hear how the potential employee was sexually harassed. In Nigeria, bad habits have become normalised and part of everyday life. |
Martinez39s:Don’t hyperventilate with your moral compass nonsense. If you investigate, you’ll be surprised that this didn’t even happen. Someone probably came up with a story to see how people would react. Read my post well, I was being sarcastic with the other social media platform. |
Where is the sack of ammo? |
MedicH:Why not reach her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms as well?? I don’t know which environment you are operating from but ethics and professionalism should apply in ways that company interact with people. That lady might have been receiving unsolicited texts from strangers, anyone could’ve been in possession of her phone at the time. If a company uses this means to test potential employees...then they must be crazy... It’s like my uncle hiding money in his pocket and asking me to wash his clothes back then...I’ll politely give him the money but subsequent ones, I made sure I wash the clothes and the pockets till the notes form papier-mâché...he had to stop....perhaps if potential employees give this people a mouthful via WhatsApp, they’ll act professional. |
Karlifate:Nonsense. Absolute nonsense. You don’t chat someone up on WhatsApp like they did. They should send text messages. If mobile calls failed, send texts with the no provided, send an email. That’s professional and documented. If she fails to reply, the company will have it on their records. What if she claimed that her troublesome sibling was with her phone? What if she claims that someone nicked her phone? The whole HR team need to go on training. Anyone could have had access to her phone at that time and gave such response. WhatsApp, Facebook are for social interaction and I’m surprised this is even being debated here. A company should act professional and send messages professionally. |
MedicH:Are you a medic? What has this scenario got to do with a mushroom company with dodgy management using such means and manners to reach a potential employee? That wasn’t professional in any shape or form. Even at that, they should have just sent a proper message showing sender(name of company) and name of sender and the message. A company shouldn’t barge into someone’s WhatsApp with ‘hi’. You don’t do that. By the way, except your workplace comes to your house or bedroom window blaring siren and expecting you to jump out prepared and hop in, your analogy doesn’t make sense. Fire dept also do what you explained but at workplace...to test alertness and how fast you get ready. It’s done at emergency depts of hospital as test to prepare staff and all relevant multidisciplinary team to get ready. |
Jashub:She might have been rude but the company was very unprofessional trying to reach her on WhatsApp. What nonsense! Why not standard sms? I think she has saved herself a ton of headache from an unethical lot. |
Arrewa:I wish you well but you lack the mental maturity needed to be a good politician. If you ever became a politician with your way of thinking, you’d be horrid. You spend a lot of time online scavenging for the wrong information. You seemed to focus on a lot of negatives as well. Anyone criticising the north is IPOB and Igbo. Are you not being a hypocrite?? How do you judge millions of Igbos by the posts of a few people here and other social media? You skip the good posts and focus only on the negatives and when you’ve found them, the culprits represent the opinion of all Igbos!! You sound sometimes like a mild version of El Rufai kids. You need to check yourself. |
Poor training and poor handling of weapon. This photo is wrong. Right index on the trigger and left hand ‘holding’ the magazine. This is a no no. Miss Henshaw, show me your UAE army instructor.

genuinewealth:You are turning flip flop into slippers and not the other way round. What you call slippers is actually flip flop and what you call flip flop is slippers. |
Gullibility and naivety. This is Overhead theatre cable. The one used in the church is probably galvanised black steel cable which offers invisibility and camouflage. Same stage rope/theatre cable used to lower and lift artistes in theatres. Michael Jackson and a host of other artistes used it. I remember seeing Virgin Boss Richard Branson using one of that while celebrating his birthday years ago. His cable malfunctioned. This pastor was simply being lowered into the church by one of those cables. |
These scrub-like green tops need to be scrapped. It made them look like some medics in some theatres. It made them look like hospital heroes. The uniform should be changed to a colour that reflects prison and crime. |
What was he thinking? What nonsense? I was expecting a Vinnie Jones grabbing Paul Gascogne kind of assault to disorientate the very skilful Gascogne not this madness. That was very audacious.

Barka00:He Ian not a pussy ass niqqa...He is a chicken ass cracka. Damn, I’m disgusted. |
complexBoss12:I strongly disagree with you. About corruption, there are some Nigerians who are not corrupt, there are some Nigerians who would never steal, covert other peoples properties and who would never scam other people of their savings. I know it’s hard to believe but such Nigerians exist. There are Nigerians who genuinely want the country and its people to flourish. Nigeria is blessed with talents and abundant resources. Any Nigerian politician neglecting the huge opportunities in Nigeria to invest abroad simply hasn’t seen the goldmine that stares at him in his back yard. Orji Uzor is one of them. Dangote at one point was said to be interested in Newcastle before Mark Ashley acquired it. It might business foresight for these men but I see them as traitors. Let Orji Uzor invest and trust me, he would become another Thakshin Shinawatra. Enyeama’s advice is a good one. He could see the potentials in Enyimba. Nigeria youths need some motivation to explode. I cry when I see talents wasted. Orji Uzor was my hero during the Enyimba day’s. He turned the Aba club into an indomitable one. Who would believe that a Nigerian clubside filled with only local talents would go to Ghana and beat Ashanti Kotoko back to back and beat North African clubs effortlessly in their backyard?? Pinnick is travelling round the globe looking for already made stars with Nigeria root. That is laziness and stupidity. A fraction of the money being wasted could be used to provide facilities and nurture talents in Nigeria. Orji Uzor Kalu can make profits investing in Enyimba. Enyimba could be returned to its glorious days and players from there could earn them mega money during transfers....instead of what exists now. |
There’s nothing beautiful about this building. It’s an architectural blunder. If you want to see a beautiful church building, google the Quo Iboe church. There was a thread about the church here on Nairaland. |

According to Wike, “before PDP left office, south east had minister of finance”...I think the man got it wrong here. Who was the minister of finance? |
festacman:Men like Ayodele should stop deceiving people. You have fallen to his fake predictions and this is why those fake prophets prey on the masses. If he was reading this, he would probably be thinking of ‘anointing’ and promoting an individual knowing that there are people who would see ‘spiritual support’ as divine. Ayodele and the self acclaimed prophets should tell us where Shekau and his commanders are hiding and how to bring peace to Nigeria. They should really shut their mouths about politicians. |
muykem:His attire is more like that of Mobutu Sese Seko. |

Rugaria:If MC Oluomo, Adeyinka Grandson and Okorocha contest for the presidency, I’ll vote for Adeyinka or Oluomo and convince all my friends and family to vote for the two and disregard Rochas. Rochas is a very greedy man. One of the worst things ever to happen to Imo state. |
