skayT:That man is training sadists and social misfits. His ways should not be applauded. He is like a professional hairdresser or barber whose children’s hairs are unkempt and not properly taken care of because of some paranoia that if he does, the kids might end up spotting braids, cornrows etc. |
Judolisco:People have the right to react. If he kept his opinion to himself, no one would question his life style or ways of bringing up children. Maduka shouldn’t be telling the public that he uses ‘rubber band’ to hold his phone from disintegrating. If he does that, he is being mean to himself, family and the gullible people that idolise him and might copy such ascetic silliness. I hope he doesn’t use of the expensive BMWs that sits in his showroom otherwise I’ll call him a hypocrite. He should be driving one of those 1960 VW beetles type of car. Why should we be applauding a man who denies his family the benefits of cable Tv? That’s sadism. How could he say that? What does his children watch? NTA?? That’s even worse than child abuse. He could motivate people to cut their coats according to the size of their cloths not display his eccentricities, there was no inspiration in his speech. We call his type “Udo eji eke ego” or aka glue. |
I don’t believe this story. |
rosstiti:Oga Rossikki, your passion for Nigeria, Africa and the black race is admirable and second to none, I’ve not seen anyone on here exhibit so much energy whether it’s showcasing and trying to inform people about Africa’s glorious past like you are doing now and viciously attacking those who show ignorance, denigrate the culture or sometimes disagree with your submissions.. Respect sir, use of the talking drums and other forms of instrument to communicate over a distance is well documented but....I don’t believe that this communication could be sustained or feasible over the distance that you mentioned....160km?? I disagree. I think talking drums under good atmospheric conditions are effective not over 16km. I doubt at even this distance, the message would be received or interpreted correctly. While I don’t dispute the the use of the talking drums to pass messages, I think the range of this communication has been grossly exaggerated. Imagine a sound/message received at about 160km !!. The impact of such a sound at the source! Even with the skill of the drummer, weather conditions like winds and it’s direction...160km! Igbos use a variety of instruments to pass messages: Ekwe as you mentioned, Ogene and the Oja. Oja is more piercing but I doubt it would travel up to 15 miles in the dead of night with the most clement of wind and other weather conditions. |
Zimri:Beautiful. That’s a deer wearing a Ghillie. A real OG. ![]()

Righteousness89:Let me help you there... People are ruined for lack of knowledge, since you have rejected knowledge, I have rejected you as a preacher and as a Nairaland preacher. Because you have ignored the laws of the Most High, I will ignore your children. ....The ways of men is NOT the ways of God. God can not be forced to do your will. He sees all and know all. Seek knowledge and stop swimming in the ocean of ignorance, hatred and evil conspiracy theories. Pls read MICA 3: 5-12. |
Righteousness89:There are lots of end time prophets and men of God online and offline...that includes those corrupt and misguided preachers of the Word who prophesy that Trump would win US election and all those who pray that God would subvert justice but God works in mysterious ways. |
Femiomoh:Don’t be naive. Men like that driver don’t do disinterested kindness. Men like that would fall and roll in the mud to propose to a lady. |
smartxyz:You are SIMP Grand daddy extraordinarie. I wanted to say more but posters above me beat me to it. |
muykem:Igbos do not have identity crisis. Stop generalising. A few voices claiming Jews or those arguing about ikwerres do not represent us. Millions of Igbos do not use Nairaland or argue or bother themselves where Wike and his forefathers come from. We also don’t follow IPOBs ideology. We are passionate about the Igbo nation and all those genuinely passionate about the Igbos. |
Friend22:You are confused. Go sort yourself first. |
helinues:Olusanya’s idea is a very progressive idea. I hope it works. Health wise, meat would be sourced from a much cleaner and healthy environment. It will provide more jobs to newly trained and professional butchers, hygienists, technicians, research and lab scientists and most importantly veterinary doctors. Contrary to what some posters assume, meat might be cheaper. Multiple taxations/levies currently experienced would be checked. Presently, you’d pay offloading the cattle, land levy, rope levy, union levy and others imposed by agberos. The academy might trigger the establishment of ranches as private individuals, cooperate bodies might key into the project instead of depending on the Fulanis. Cattles can be imported from abroad: Argentina, Brazil, Netherlands etc and there’ll be more researches in cattle breeding etc. There will be diversifications in the dairy industry. Varieties of cattle breed means businesses like milk, cheese, leather industries will spring up. I’m with Olusanya and Lagos state govt on this and God bless whoever came up with this idea and I hope it works. |
Numismatic:Oga, why don’t you leave Ikwerre people alone. You are one of those escalating this issue. It’s really embarrassing for the Igbos. Nnamdi Kanu was trying to debate this week’s ago...pls leave ikwerre people alone. The idea of claiming or coercing people into your ethnicity is very wrong. You guys are the ones making mockery of Igbos. Ikwerres are not the only group distancing themselves, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh denied Igbos during his TEDx presentation, JJ Okocha affirmed that he is Igbo. I had a room mate whose middle and last names were Igbos. He was from Delta state, he told he wasn’t Igbo. We should stop bothering about this. I can never trust Rotimi Amaechi or any Ikwerre man who claims to be Igbo. It’s all politics. They’d deny you once they’ve finished riding on your back to achieve their objectives. Open your eyes. Despite similarities in languages, names, dressing and other aspects of culture, if someone denies any link with you....do one thing, you don’t beg or force relationship. Let this argument end. Ikwerres are not Igbos. South East Igbos should stop giving relevance to these people. They make the average Igbo man who don’t know about them look like a fool. Let this stop. Stop coercing or even attempting to convince them. Mister know it all Nnamdi Kanu should mind his business. Since Wike came out to deny being an Igbo man, has Amaechi or any Ikwerre man come out to clear the air or affirm their Igbo identity?? What does that tell you? |
Friend22:Yes, there have been kidnappings of young girls and forceful conversions of which some emirs in the north were involved and the Nigeria police complicit. |
Biodun556:Apart from equality, women’s right and access to properties, I hope the change would also involve outright prohibition and criminalisation of under age marriage. No culture should tolerate and encourage paedophilia. |
People would bitch about almost everything to trend. Apart from the presentation, I would pick the first meal over the second. You can vary the colour of your bolognese by either using a few tomatoes and more mince or lots of tomatoes to give that rich red tomato colour...more mince and less tomatoes means something resembling the first meal. It should’ve been presented much better... add some grated cheese and some leaves of basil and you get your bolognese. |
TossTos:The deceased was minding his business and enjoying his breakfast in peace when the burukutu inebriated police man shot him. How else would one be staying safe and out of trouble? |
Righteousness89:He needs urgent medical check up sir. While you invest steadily in your spiritual life, don’t neglect your physical and health needs. God Almighty has given our doctors and other health professionals the wisdom to assist you medically. |
Why use fake claddings to imitate clay bricks? Enugu has some good clay to make real and standard bricks. I have noticed this on so many buildings. Cheap and fake claddings should be discouraged. With very poor maintenance culture, those claddings would fall off, probably hurt people and leave those shelters looking aesthetically unappealing. These are very poor designs and definitely won’t last a season. |
“Famous Nigerian-US based Philanthropist, triple Professor of Medicine and Anambra state Governorship Aspirant, Dr. Godwin Maduka” “Billionaire philanthropist”.....”Famous billionaire” Just one man!! Oke afa na egbu nwa nkita. “Quos Deus vult perdere, prius dementat” Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad” Does this man enjoy all these titles and pantomime displays? Dr Maduka should do well and continue with his practice, then perform his acts of goodwill rather than being misled by praise singers to ruin himself in Naija politics. |
Front0lane:Are you this pathetic off line or is the social media interaction giving you lots of misery? Which one is it? |
seunmsg:Your childish sarcasms and immaturity mean nothing to me. Who are you? Who is Tinubu? Both of you can stick your heads where the sun don’t shine. I don’t give a hoot mister...I actually enjoy coming across posters like you...yes it becomes a bit boring when you fill up the whole page with immaturity and when you are consistent with such habit I do feel some sympathy for people like you...a lunatic at Oshodi market feel no embarrassment and even though I don’t know you and might never meet you, I do feel sorry for your likes. |
Front0lane:You don’t need to be banned. You are pouring out your soul and that is allowed and your outburst is quite interesting. ...I should be beaten to a pulp or death? ...by who? You??Forget the fact that we all come out here on Nairaland to dance nak.ed sometimes, when you meet the fingers that typed the stuffs you respond to with puffed up aorta ready to burst, you’d crawl on your fours and give respect. I don’t to go further but I enjoyed your little rants that showed how filthy your soul is. |
helinues:Is there any problem with you, seunmsg and olakunleyakub?? Are these accounts one person’s or they are being operated by different mentally disturbed individuals united by some form of paranoid schizophrenia triggered by the name Tinubu? I’m asking because I’ve noticed a pattern to their delirium. They either get triggered by one anti Tinubu comment or they get frustrated when there’s none...they’d exhibit their lunacy continuously to incite and achieve their expectations before they take their madness to the next level....meaning they goad people with the Tinubu sarcasm till one person comments. Is everything ok with you guys? I wonder what the reactions would’ve been like if Okowa and Delta state were from the South East. |
What an idiot. How sick can someone be? Someone should just collect that phone and smash it in his face. |
Arrewa:Leprosy will destroy the fingers that typed this rubbish and the digits of those who liked this nonsense. Shame on you. |
Should they not be more concerned with the devastating effects of such unregulated and substandard brews and concoctions that ruin the health of the people. The task force is chasing shadows if they arrested those quacks only because of their uncensored advert’s lingo. The problem here is that fraudsters are using unprofessional languages to market their unprofessional products. If their languages change, they might still be in business deceiving and causing millions of people liver and other GIT problems. |
He looks better in the uniform compared to this disaster here. He looks like a Nollywood comedian here. The panel beater that constructed this uniform should be publicly flogged by Hisbah police. I can’t tell if he wanted to turn Ganduje into a retired fire officer, a retired prison officer or he was trying to make him look like a Niger Delta Egbesu navy officer.

Everyone is shouting the ‘power and sweetness of a good D’ Don’t forget, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... What if this lady wanted to lure this man and extract some revenge in a very special way? What if she doesn’t trust the justice system? What if she wants to get this man where she wants him and then deal with him. Anyone seen “I spit on your grave”? |
flokii:Do you not see anything wrong that Prof Gambari and IG of police would come to Lagos to visit Tinubu instead of the governor of Lagos regarding the Lekki protest? Sanwo Olu was at the centre of it all. Why bypass him to seek audience with Tinubu? |
guy222:Focus on Yerima’s comment sir. Leave IPOB out of this. It makes you look silly and awkward. Stop derailing. |
