It’s been frustrating watching the wayward shootings of the Eaglets but I do think that they have given their best. It’s not their day even I f they had equalised They deserved to have scored up to 4 goals in this match. They shoot with so much aggression. |
Nigerian boys are playing with too much aggro. Lots of testestorone. Their legs are faster than their brains. They need to calm down a bit, utilise their energy well. |
Aussie 1-0 |
Bright9970:You are not different from the retard. Why do have to bring his wife and an unborn child into this matter? If he has done wrong, let him face the consequences of his action not anyone else. |
emeijeh:Two of you need to get a life. What’s your problem with her? Can’t a small person be herself and have fun like other people?. Your attitudes are nauseating. |
Generalwoodz:Are you waiting for it to hit front page before you comment? Look at the time it was posted and look at the time you posted your comment. |
Niyinficient:Nairaland and some online sites can mess up your mind if you are not careful. Sometimes, you just have to ignore the few mental retards who do not see good in other people and find it convenient trying to infect others with their negative minds. Sadly we’d have to live with that. Outside of social media, we roll and socialise like families. Don’t let anyone infect your mind with negative energy. It’s not worth it. Go to Innoson threads, they are all there. You’d also see such when super eagles were playing in the past. Congrats to the Eaglets. These are young boys trying to make a career. They deserve our supports. I’m glad Manu Garba and his lads won. They fought and showed resilience. I wasn’t convinced with their performance during the African qualifying stages, I was apprehensive when they made some defensive errors especially the Hungarian second goal but the Eaglets fought back, displayed so much energies. I think the Hungarians were jittery in the defence as well, they kept kicking the ball out of touch for throwing every time the Eaglets pressed but they looked dangerous going forward. I believe that most of them would be very successful in a few years. Nigeria should build on his victory but let’s remember that the main aim of this tournament is to discover tomorrow’s stars. If up to 3 boys from the set of Eaglets can blossom and play in the big leagues in about 6 years from now, that would be a huge huge success. |
It’s really embarrassing that lots of you above believed this piece of nonsense that she was once a man! It’s shameful. You are not to be blamed. Lots of people would stone old vulnerable women with dementia and call them witches. Lots of people can swear that human beings especially old women fall from the sky and transform into animals. |
Kittex7:What is wrong in being black? |
wirinet:If all the risk assessments have been carried out and land access and other related issues which might derail or threaten the project have been resolved, security should be beefed up around the area instead of the threats of taking the fund meant for execution of the bridge elsewhere. About your community, your community leaders should be held accountable and not the contractors. They collected and either consumed or held onto your piece of ‘cake’. The various factions should be working together to fight and strip the leaders of their titles. They failed you. Now with the security posed by the youths, I don’t think it’ll be wise to stop the exploration except their activities are unsafe and dangerous to the communities. This is the time to police and monitor their activities to ensure that their operations are eco-friendly. |
Inflammatory:That’s blackmail. The federal govt, state government and the contractors should resolve all issues related to lands etc before they commence work. Should oil prospecting stop in the North because of Boko haram’s kidnapping and killing of NNPC staff and other security issues? Should federal government stop funding IDPs because of the fraud perpetuated by staff, abuses, rapes, sexual harassment of vulnerable people and serious security issues posed by Boko haram and other bandits!? |
SonofHim:They are meat on vertical rotating rotisserie or Tower doner kebab machines. The ‘log of wood’ you see are stacked meats cooking on grill. As they cook, the outer layers are sliced off. It’s equivalent to the doner kebab you see in the Uk. The Greek also have the meat on skewers which they call ‘Souvlaki’ you get different varieties. Souvlaki kotopoulo (chicken)...Souvlaki is similar to Nigeria’s Suya. With 5 euro, you’ll get pita bread smeared with mustard, mayonnaise sauce, shreds of the meat, slices of tomato, lettuce etc with sprinkle of black pepper...they are similar to suya and sharwarma.

Harrisonwo:You said that he only sit in the office giving directive! Only someone with intelligence will give good directive. Effective tactics and intelligence do not come easy. That’s why he succeeds and achieve results. He doesn’t need to be a foot soldier. Intelligence, effective leadership and management of the right guys under him will produce the right goals. Someone need to know a thing or two about the kidnappers, their location, tracking them, their numbers and how armed they were, how they think etc. Whether hype or not, the man has done well but like someone pointed out, taking pictures, posing and smiling at every occasion with their ‘prize’ in my opinion isn’t very professional. I think it’s risky gloating at every photo. His security and that of others around him or related to him should be his priority. |
PIPnator10:She was actually promoting Osuolale’s design. |
Caleb17:Did you read her comments? She didn’t come up with a new design, instead she worked with the original design by the first guy. She even has the decency to seek his support and approval before she came up with this. She used the original design for Innoson’s internal and external signages. |
contigiency:Stopping means full investigation and prosecution. They can never stop as long as they are free men. They should be in jails. It’s not enough to stop their illegal activities as they’ll always conceive and start another one. I remember the days of Toll gates, these were good revenue earning initiatives which if properly managed would ensure that our roads remain in good shape and motorable but politicians bastardised the activities. Well connected people ‘owned’ certain toll gates, had their own staff, print their own tickets and were controlling the toll fees as they pleased. What did Obasanjo do? He was so frustrated at the level of financial activities being perpetuated with impunity by these people but instead of investigating and punishing these crooks for crimes against the state, he decided to destroy and dismantle all the toll gates...talk of throwing the baby with the bath water! In China, USA, Uk and lots of countries with serious leadership, the people behind these crimes are punished severely. China and North Korea would put them to death. This is where you need EFCC, not engaging in witty social media posts. |
OMSL according to Amaechi has been collecting $1500 per day since 2014 and has neither remitted any money to the NPA nor the Federal government! I think this is where the EFCC is needed. Insecurity and major crimes in Nigeria are fuelled by politicians and same people that we see on tv and the media acting like patriots. These people are epitomes of evil. You can tell from the language of the NPA boss that she’s worried about the evil stakeholders in the illegal fees initiating and propagating violence and insecurities to justify the continued existence of OMSL. I hope the police DSS investigate the person and person behind the company. Nigeria must be salvaged from evil people. |
Kennyswagz1:He is from Edo State. He isn’t a whitey...Ivara Esege. |
johnmattew:Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s husband is from Edo State. What are you on about? |
One more goal plus clean sheet and the home based Eagles will sail through.
|
Eartquake1:Ofoedu career should’ve been better than we are seeing now. He was such a bright prospect playing age group football in Enugu. He played for Rangers briefly before travelling to Turkey. I think he would’ve been such an asset in the under 17 or under 20 team about 10 years ago. He was so good at the time. Btw, Nigeria hosts Togo today in an African nations championship qualifying match at 16.00. No update yet on that. I hope it’ll not be a deja vu. The local lads were woeful the last time they played the Togolese. |
If I was Innoson, I’d extend the competition. This would motivate other designers out there to come out. I think the social media reception of the first design and this latest one would motivate other companies and brands to engage with graphic designers or throw more competitions out. Innoson original logo is uninspiring. The first design is class and I’d pick it over the second one...however I think the competition should be extended to reveal the talent and creativity of the Nigerian graphic artists. People criticising this second dude should shut up and allow others to express themselves. More companies would start to think in that direction hopefully. |
NwaAmaikpe:Who are the “we”? Innoson doesn’t know you. Innoson group threw the competition open and it’s their business not yours. Stop using the “We”. |
Astark:You are sick. If he throws insults at your oba, face nwamaikpe and leave Igbos out of this. Stop being an idiot. Igbos didn’t insult your oba. Nwamaikpe did. Settle your beef with him. |
Astark:Are you ok in the head? What has his comment got to do with tribe? If you leave the person who made the comment to involve others, what does that say about you? |
newbornmacho:I think Junaid Mohammed is mentally unstable and immature but the above isn’t necessary. The underlined is childish. |
BluntBoy:Good memory. Nigeria was playing well in that match and there was a certain Jero Shapoke, hope I got the spelling correct who was tormenting the Germans on the right flank, he cupped an injury. I think he dislocated his shoulder. I’ve never heard about him ever since. |
helinues:You beat me to it. Our online space is full of Nigerians who broke academic records graduating with first class honours in engineering, project management, designs, architecture but it’s hard to see Nigerian construction or engineering companies handling these projects. Where are the experts? Do we not have qualified and competent Nigerians to handle these projects?? |
blackboy:You got 320 + likes for the above. I’m sorry to disagree with your opinion. Any man who repeatedly asks the wife to leave the house over minor issues as stated by the op...(that’s assuming that was exactly what happened and how it happened) is immature and an a**ehole. He has issues with himself and need to reflect on that. What kind of man fights the wife because his mother in law bought them food stuffs?!!! I mean who does that? He should be very happy and appreciate the act of generosity. Many mother in-laws wants to take but this one was a giver but this man was grumpy and truculent over that. What kind of man is he? The woman wants peace but the man isn’t ready for that. What makes you think that it’s the job of a woman to endure, suppress emotions and work hard to tolerate a man who isn’t mature and ready for a relationship and marriage...and what makes you think that it’s wrong for a woman to seek love and attention outside of the man is being unreasonably difficult to deal with and live with? Lots of Nigerian men do not know and appreciate how lucky and blessed that they are. In some countries, this man would be forced by the environment and law to be cool headed. He will be the one to calm down and work to make his marriage work because such rantings and threats would result in the police or social workers intervening and asking him to leave the house. If this woman was my sister, I’ll be meeting this man for a serious talk and if the problem continues, sorry I’ll be meeting with my family and we will be asking the woman to leave him. What nonsense! |
Utonwanne:What are our options? You can make do with what you have. If Onuachu isn’t offering that, the technical crew should replace him with someone else but who? |
enomakos:You can replace them with Sergio Aguero but if the team plays like that where he has to chase four defenders passing the ball around till they are ready to launch and attack, same thing will be happening. |
Humility017:Even if you convert or use any of the wingers as striker, same thing would happen. Onuachu was all over the place trying to make an impact. If the ball doesn’t get to him from his midfielders, how would he perform? He made one faulty and disappointing pass then spend the rest of the time running back to defend or chasing balls that he shouldn’t run after. The Eagles played well but they were lucky. They were caught off guard lots of times. A much better team would’ve capitalised in the weakness in our left full back to do them harm. Awaziem, Ajayi, Ndidi, Ekong and Chukwueze played their hearts out. Awaziem especially showed courage, strength and intelligence. He wasn’t intimidated, he dispossessed the Brazilians effortlessly and his positioning was very good. Nigeria lacks quality in the midfield. Apart from Ndidi and maybe Aribo, the rest are just there because there are no serious competitions. Iwobi can be very annoying. |
